Because of the nature of the Void King injuries, Elijah told them it was best to slowly use the infusion of gentle energies in order to decrease the amount of Void energy that is corroding his body from the inside.
The problem was that the king's aura and cultivation level slowly decreased because of the World King's special ability making him turn into a mortal. At least doing the way Elijah said, the Void King won't drop below the eleventh step.
At the same time Elijah went to the Void Clan's treasure vault deep within the planet and brought most of the heavenly treasures and materials he thought useful and headed to a private chamber for seclusion.
