Chapter 65 - Damn, He Is Good!

Was he serious?

Why would a mature man like him be interested in me?

I knew that he was supposed to be my future husband. I knew that it was normal for him to approach me. I also knew that it was possible for me to feel something towards him.

But, even though every possibilities were opened for me, I had something that tied me up to where I thought I belonged to.

Tom.

People might call psychiatrist on me for choosing a ghost over a human.

But, that's where I felt the safest, the most comfortable, and the warmest. Ghost or not, I wanted him.

Deciding to act like a deaf, I took another gulp of the water and asked him the question I've been keeping inside.

"Why am I here?"

"I brought you here."

His answer was surprisingly calm and on point. On one hand, I froze after hearing his answer.

Just imagine an idol carrying a sleeping girl in his arms, how did his fans react to that? They must be going crazy, right?

Should I carry some pepper sprays in my bag now? Or should I hire some bodyguards? Okay, I admitted the bodyguards part was too much, but I also needed to ensure my safety, right?

On the other hands, I felt very much embarrassed.

"What kind of girl would fall asleep in the open space? What if you drooled?" His tone was reprimanding at first, but soon it laced with teasing.

The corner of his lips was lifted slightly, creating an illusion of seductive smirk. Complemented by the teasing glint in his eyes, I could feel the heat rose to my cheeks, painted my face with a shade of red colour.

Damn, he is good!

My reaction to his words got delayed because he attracted me too much. He might not be a devilish beauty, but he sure had devilish smile and enchanting eyes.

"W-what kind of girl? Obviously my kind of girl! And, for your information, I don't drool!" I almost stuttered from embarrassment.

His smirk grew imminent as he crossed his arms -oh my God, his muscles... I think I almost drool -in front of his chest and leaned back to the back of the chair. I was ogling at his muscular arms when I noticed he was looking at me with his teasing eyes.

Suddenly, I had the urge to slap myself!

Unconsciously, I compared him with Tom.

As long as I could remember, Tom also had a nice body. He was not as big as Sanji, but I liked his pale and well-toned body. All in all, both had their own charm and I realized comparing the both of them would only lead me in a maze of confusion.

I cleared my throat and got down from the bed. "Thank you, for everything. I owe you and I'll make sure to pay you back later, but for now, I need to go. Please, excuse me."

That sounded polite enough, right?

As I walked to the door and was reaching out to the handle of the door, I was stopped by his sudden suggestion.

"What about a dinner together tonight? Just you and me?"

I was silent for almost three seconds. "I'm sorry, I can't." Then, I walked out of the infirmary hastily.

I didn't give him any chance to ask his question again. I walked fast, almost like running, to anywhere my feet would bring. I could feel the stares people gave me and I was sure it all came from girls. I ignored it.

You can stare all you want. Hmph!!

I stopped as soon as I reached a rather secluded area. Only after I stopped that I felt the sudden tightness in my legs. I guessed I was too tense and quick from escaping from him so my legs suffered from cramps.

After finding myself a spot to sit on, I started to massage my legs. My mind was replaying Sanji's expressions in the infirmary and I had to pinch my thigh to prevent myself from ogling his sexy smirk.

Sitting alone had proven to make mind focusing on unnecessary things. Nodding my head in resolution, I stood up and walked towards the appointed room for my next class.

Again, I was stared by people. Some people even whispered among themselves while throwing a look of disdain to me.

Ignoring them again, I stepped into a room. The room was noisy as usual before I stepped into the room, but all of a sudden, it was as quiet as graveyard, with all the eyes were on me.

I couldn't help but arch my eyebrow as my eyes scanned those familiar faces in front of me. I noticed some of them had the jealousy expression, some had sparkling in their eyes, and some were only curious.

Clearing my throat slightly, I walked towards an empty desk and fiddled with my phone as soon as my butt was seated on it.

"Jane, we have something to ask you." I looked up and saw two of my classmates were standing in front me with curiousity plastered on their faces.

"Go on." I nodded my confirmation.

"Are you really Mr. Sanjaya's fiancee?" One of them asked, successfully made me almost choked with my own saliva.

H-how did she know?
