I crack open the door to see my dad's face buried into the palms of his hands. I've never seen my father cry before, but all I can do is walk over to him. I lay my hand gently on his back. He looks up with an astonished look glancing his look to make sure I'm real. He puts his hand on my face to make sure he's not hallucinating. He wraps his arms around me and gives me a bear hug.
