Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

Winter

Oh no. She needs to stop looking at me like that, I thought.

She was a little plain yet stood out from the rest I could not tell if her hair was red or dirty blond in this lighting but I could tell she had been taken back by me. For what reason, I don't know but when she looked at me I felt naked. The thing is I don't even know her name.

From Me only being 19, I would guess she was 16 or 17 because she drove here. She could pass for 15 or even 20 if she dressed different.

She looks in but yet out of place, she needed a man to keep her safe. That couldn't be me though, I'm dangerous. The calvent still haven't tried killing Becky that I have pretended to like for a few years to test them. Of course, if they went after her I would stop them before they could hurt her.

She is different from the girl standing in front of me. The girl in front of me is not my normal type so they will know something was going on if they see us spending time together. I need to keep my distance or I could put us in danger. There was just something about her that made her different from the rest yet like me. Me being able to control earth and have my soul in someone else's body is not something I think anyone would share.

She is from a complete different world than I and if I keep fantasizing about this, one of those face readers in this church will know I have gotten mad at a girl I haven't even seen for 10 minutes never less even talked to. I'm already in deep.

Uh!!!

I need to look away so my brain could stop melting and not be mush but I couldn't bring my self to do so.

Her eyes looked black or dark brown and could be hypnotizing if looked directly at. Only if she would look so intensely in mine that I could get dunk off them.

I give my self a mental face flap and blinked a few times. I was daydreaming so much about her that I was looking directly at her yet never noticed she had walked away.

How embarrassing, I thought mentality shacking myself. I need to get a grip before one of them come looking for me.

"hello!" a silky voice said behind me. I jumped knowing it was her but yet hoping dearly it wasn't for her sake and mine.

"Oh sorry," she replied realizing she had startled me.

"it's okay," I replied seeing the same reaction off her when I talked as I did her, it was dangerous for us to already act this way. There was a pull that I couldn't describe... I'd only ever felt this way once in my life.

No. I scold myself, don't think of the past Winter, just move forward. I have to get rid of her before I put her life in danger.

"My names Storm, and you are...?" she asks extending out her hand.

What's my name again? I didn't see that coming.

"Winter," I answer flatly shaking her hand. Her eyes are actually hazel now that I see them, anyone could lose themselves in those eyes. Her hair was this beautiful contrast of dirty blond and red.

"Nice to meet you Winter. By any chance do you like the winter?" she asked me with a hint of excitement in her voice.

"yes," I answer flatly back but had a hint of a smile in my voice since we were talking about winter, the only time of the year I could be myself.

"I have to go."

"Oh okay," she answered sadly.

Crap she is looking at me like I just killed her puppy.

"bye."I say and as I walk away I think I hear a muffled 'bye' from her.
