There was still rain but the absence of the thunder and lightning lessened Audrey's worries. The weather is still gloomy but it's not that harsh unlike yesterday. Even though the dark clouds and continuous pouring rain is indeed a little depressing, she in fact is still on a state of ecstasy.
She finally understood how she really feels for him and knowing that he feels the same is giving her such ecstatic vibes. She almost couldn't believe that she finally have a boyfriend and having her feeling reciprocated like that feels amazing to her.
"Good morning Audrey bear!" Said Kylie who is looking good with her gray hoodie with a cool black paint dripping design on top.
"Morning Angel Cakes." She replied with a huge smile on her face.
"Look at that smile. You told me you'll call me yesterday but you didn't. I tried calling you but it's your brother who picked up and said that you were already fast asleep."
"Yeah. You know how much I dislike rainy weathers right? But it happens that I was just really happy yesterday that I fell asleep the moment I closed my eyes on my bed. I slept real late though. I am glad though that my phone's alarm is on repeat mode or else I would have been late today."
Kylie sat beside her and organized her things and said while smiling cunningly, "Well tell me everything now! I endured our supposedly girl talk yesterday and now I'm so impatient to get all the details from you."
"Okay but you need to promise me not to tell anybody because for we can't go public about it." She said in a very low tone.
"So does that mean that…?!"
"Shh!!!" She covered her mouth with her hand and looked around to see if anyone is listening and said, "Hold your horses down."
"Okay. I'll hush down. It's just that I'm so freaking excited of what you're going to tell me though I think I already know what you are going to say." She teasingly said.
Audrey then went closer towards her and whispered all the juicy little details that Kylie is anticipating to know. As she was telling her how everything turned out well her delighted friend squeals silently with joy.
"OMG. I'm so happy for you. Finally!"
"Finally?"
"Yes my dear clueless bear. You two were both giving me a hard time every day. And now I can rest my case."
"What?"
Kylie exhaled in defeat and answered, "You my friend is intelligent. You excels all the time in all our subjects. Your grades are exemplary and you're one of the best students in our batch. But due to your high IQ I sometimes think that the world is indeed created fair for one person can indeed not get everything in the world."
"Yeah. I know that sometimes I'm really dense."
"Its good to know that you know." She mockingly said.
"Ugh. Stop teasing me. I thought that I'll have a vacation with the teasing that Aiden is doing but I almost forgot that you're also good at that at times."
"That's how we need to balance the world."
"Uh huh." Audrey looked at the time and saw that Aiden will land to New York after a couple more hours.
His flight was a little delayed due to the heavy rain. It gave him and Audrey more time to talk on the phone while waiting for his flight. She wanted to send him off at the airport but it is not possible for it's raining hard and she knew that she couldn't escape that easily especially that she hasn't told his brother about herself getting a boyfriend.
"So Aiden won't be able to attend classes for how long exactly?"
"He said that he'll get back after two days."
"That's a quick trip."
"Yeah. He just needed to go to some party."
"So what we heard yesterday, is it his fiancé's party perhaps?"
Audrey nodded in agreement.
"Are you okay with that?" Kylie asked concerned.
"I can't do anything about it though. Even if I say no, he still needed to go because his father told him so. He actually doesn't want to go be he can't."
"His father sounded a little scary. He sounded like someone with a hand of steel. I mean he's a "Wang" so I think he's meant to act like that but I guess he shouldn't be that harsh to his own son by ordering him around without asking him his own consent if he's okay with it or not."
"You pulled the exact words right off my mouth. My father and I are not that close maybe because he's been always busy working but he's not like that. Though he restricts me at times he's reasonable enough for me to understand why he acts that way."
Kylie was silenced. She didn't actually want to reply about what Audrey had said because she really felt bad for her about not knowing the truth about herself. She then decided to mislead the conversation into something else.
"By the way Angela's running late. She's always early but now she hasn't arrived still."
"Now that you mentioned I guess you're right. Maybe it's because Aiden is always fetching her to school before and now she has no one to drive herself to school."
"I saw her car a couple of times and it's actually really nice. She knew how to drive but is wasting the beauty of her car by just having it parked at her house like some sort of display."
As they were just talking about here, she appears. She was wearing a flashy pink colored overcoat that looked like it was taken inside Barbie's closet. It was pretty cute actually but her frown is making it too obvious that she woke up on the wrong side on the bed today.
The moment Angela entered the room she immediately looked at Audrey with one of her eyebrows raised then rolled her eyes off of her giving her the cold shoulder. Then when she went to her seat she flipped her hair and gave her a quick look and grimaced.
At that moment, Audrey thought that something is off. She was always given such stares from her before but nothing as bold as this. Since the war had already ignited for a while now then, let the games begin.
