"What happened?" Xenon asked Kaito after they returned to the office.
"..."
Seeing as Xenon understood something and is now asking Kaito, Takao looked at him as well, "Kaito?"
Kaname was still crying over the fact that she was unable to do anything for Astra. Subaru was trying to calm her down but he too was looking at Kaito.
"She knew she was... a lost case."
Kaito opened his mouth and said these seven words with great difficulty.
Everyone present except for Kiryuu and Osamu was looking at him dumbfounded.
"What do you mean by this? You knew she would be taken?!?" Xenon grabbed his collar and pushed him in the wall as he asked.
Kaito didn't say anything but he didn't fight him either, his hands were only clenched on fists.
"Let go Xenon," Kiryuu walked over and held his hand.
Xenon was angry but when he looked at Kiryuu he once again understood something as he let go of Kaito's collar.
