Becca and Liam arrived at their condo building's underground parking lot — their hairs were still damp from their unplanned swimming. He had placed his coat over her shoulders to shelter her from the cool wind. They had smiles on their faces as they thought about what they did earlier, crashing at some stranger's roof bar party.
"Did you have fun tonight?" Liam asked as they stepped in the elevator.
Becca nodded with a smile on her pretty face, "Yes."
Stepping inside the elevator, there were two elderly people who rode with them as they ascended to the top floors. Sneaking glances at each other, Liam held Becca's hand and the heat of his palm transferred to her. His heart drummed in his chest while they waited for the two other people to get off the damn elevator.
On the 10th floor, the elevator stopped and their company had finally gotten off, leaving the two of them alone.
