"What did you say?" Melissa asked, her lips slightly trembled. Water pooled in her eyes threatening to fall yet she clenched her teeth and fists forcing herself not to breakdown in front of the man she still yearns for. "You really think that lowly of me?"
"You should answer that question yourself as you're perfectly capable of doing lowly things."
"Daniel, I made a mistake in the past and I have asked for forgiveness countless of times. Why can't you forgive me?"
Daniel chuckled at her query. "Forgiveness should be given freely just like how trust must be earned, Ms Qin. But fine, let's say I have already forgiven you because honestly, I have not thought of you for years. I should be thanking you instead because if it's not for you and Stefan, I wouldn't be with the woman that I love."
