'The call is from Anna?!'
Jacob reached out to grab the phone from his sister, Esther handed over the phone after warning him, "It looks like she was in some sort of trouble!"
"Jacob! Jacob!! Is that you?" Anna's voice was inaudible like she was whispering in the phone yet she talked in a hurry as if she was afraid of getting caught.
"Anna!!! Yeah, Yeah... it was Jacob! What is the matter?"
'Didn't Shane just tell me that he holds Anna's phone, How is she calling me?' He double checked the number displayed on the screen, it was an unknown private number, Yet he knew that the voice from the phone undoubtedly belonged to Anna.
"Jacob! Listen to me, I have less of time. I am in my home country and ran into lots of trouble recently."
Jacob curt her in, "I know everything! How are you doing now?"
Anna wore a new dress which adorned her little frame elegantly to showcase how she was living a comfortable and luxurious life, But Anna's angst reply was such a contradiction, "Not fine at all! I am in a death hole and I need your help.
I am held as a hostage in Symonds Residence, and also I was locked in the attic for the past two days and a night. The whole attic was installed with surveillance cameras, So nobody dared to come to the attic to help me.
My stepmother just informed me that, on accord to my Aunt's demands, cops are on their way to check me whether I am held as a hostage or not.
So, my stepmother is blackmailing me with some old photos, and asking me to inform the Policemen that 'I am doing fine in Symonds Residence, and actually, it was Shane's family who held me hostage, and My father was the one who rescued me from them.'
It was all but a lie."
Jacob staggered, "You had been locked in the attic as a hostage, and your Stepmother is blackmailing you?"
'Does that mean, Whatever Lulu informed me was all but misleading statements.'
Anna urged, "Yes, yes... I don't know any other phone number expect yours. Please find a way to inform Shane or my aunt about my current crucial situation.
If I report to the cops that my Aunt held me as a hostage, then their entire family would be ruined. Aunt Luyisa has done so much for me since my childhood, She protected me from my stepmother constant torment.
Shane married me against his will just to stop my stepmother scheme to bind me in marriage with a fifty odd old years man. I really don't want to report a false accusation on my aunt's family but I am in a situation that I can't help it.
Please, I beg you! Find a way to contact them and ask them to withdraw the case, or just ask them to do something. Tell my aunt, In particular, that the photo is about my Godfather, she will naturally understand what was the trouble I am in."
"Anna! Anna!! Calm down please, I will do what I can." Jacob who was stunned earlier was now looked troubled by Anna's whole new description of her past life, It clearly was a contradiction to Lulu's description.

"No... No... They can't be harmed because of me, you must inform them no matter what. Find my friends George or Naia in college they can help you."
Anna had no idea that the Jacob she knew was the CEO of BMF Corporation, She believed that Jacob to whom she was talking to now was still in NewYork. If Jacob looked for her friends to inform them about her condition then they would definitely find a way to inform her aunt.
Just then, Anna heard rushing footsteps towards her new room, "Oh no... They are already here..."
Those were the last words she spoke in direct terms to Jacob but Jacob could faintly hear Anna's voice from the not yet disconnected phone, "Chris! Take the phone and climb down...
But sister, How can we stop them now, they might arrest Shane.
Don't worry about it, Chris! Run from here before your mother find you helping me."
As the voice died out in the background, Jacob was snapped out by Esther nudge, "Hey, Snap out! What happened now?"
