A small smile flickered on Anna's chapped lips. She replied in a faint soft voice, "I'm sorry!"
A tear of joy welled up in Jacob's eyes, "Girl, you must be damn silly. Why on earth are you apologizing, Is it your habit or something?"
Anna rested her head on his broad shoulder and smiled weakly at his usual tease. Some people are bound to never change.
When Anna felt comfort in his presence. She let down her guards and gazed around the surroundings, and only then it dawned on her that she was in a strange place covered by huge trees and thick veins.
Her heart raced and plummeted, and she started panicking as her thoughts ran wild. And as time passed, more and more absurd thoughts sprung up in her mind.
Where am I? Did someone kidnap me? Did Jacob Kidnap me? Why would he?!
As Anna hastened to sit straight, she felt an unbearable pain at the back of her waist area. She gasped and let out a painful wail.
