"Wang Xiu,is everything all right?"Gu Ren questioned, waving his hands at her eyes which seemed focused towards the door.
"Don't call my name with that filthy tongue!"Wang Xiu blared. She rushed to the door and slammed into it.
"Open this bloody damn door at once!"She yelled in a deafening voice. She began banging the door as hard as she could, but couldn't even make a dent on it.She slipped down and started to cry.
Gu Ren noticed the extremities of her emotions and understood that this was not the right time to confess his feelings. He immediately ordered the police officer to open the door.He took out a bunch of his keys and proceeded towards the door.
"Don't you know something known as 'speed'?"Wang Xiu yelled, while she still sobbed.
The police officer was getting furious. He wished that he could throw her in a cell and call for a third-degree torture. However, one gesture from Gu Ren was enough to boil his anger down, the one depicting money.
The door was successfully open.Wang Xiu could see two of her friends, who earnestly waited for her up till midnight. She rushed towards them and hugged them.
"Thank you so much for being here for me."Wang Xiu muttered, with tears in her eyes.
"Did he do something to you again?"Akio questioned, glaring at GuRen who stood at the doorway.
"No.This has got nothing to do with him."She mumbled, wiping off her tears.
"Is that so? Or are you trying to protect him?"Mark questioned suspiciously.
"Why would I protect him?"She asked.
"Isn't He your younger brother?"Mark inquired.
"Not anymore."She answered.
"In that case,it is best to go home."Wang Xiu announced and got up,walking past Gu Ren whom she pretended not to notice. However, she was watching every emotion of this face from the corner of her eye.It was the first time she saw despair in his eyes. The same despair in which she was thrown when she encountered the Ren family. It was a solace which she had never felt in ages.
On the other hand,Gu Ren expected something positive from the encounter. However,it separated his love from him further. He could still remember her face. The first time he saw her,it was love at first sight.Innocent childlike love, but one day she vanished from that orphanage. He remembered being sent to The U.S. for his studies only to come back and find out that she became his elder sister.Fate could not be less cruel.
Hating Wang Xiu was the only way he could hide his feelings from her.If Wang Xiu would have come to know about him liking her,she would be disgusted, just like today. So he resorted to isolation and verbal bullying which eventually led him to become a bully.Wang Xiu was the reason he became a bully. However, only he is aware of this fact.
Back at home,Wang Xiu,Mark and Akio reached safely and were enjoying a nice brewing aroma of chai,an Indian variation of tea, which is made by boiling tea leaves in milk and infusing it with various spices.
"I know this. This is called chai tea right?I drank it in Japan once."Akio said, watching the kettle bubble.
"It's only chai. 'chai tea' doesn't make sense. 'Chai' itself means tea."Mark explained.
"If so,then the translation on would be 'tea tea'.right?"He questioned,as he watched Mark strain the contents and producing a rosy orange opaque liquid into the cups and served it to them and sat down with one for himself.
"Why did you say Gu Ren was not your brother anymore?"Mark questioned casually to Wang Xiu.
"Let's forget about this."Wang Xiu requested.
Will Mark and Akio ever come to know the secret of Wang Xiu and Gu Ren ? Or will everything turn into mist?
