Waking up is a fantastic thing. It signifies the infinite possibilities one could do for that day. But waking up to a group of people wanting to enslave you is not a fantastic approach to start a day, especially for this certain goddess.
Those people plan to create a god and immediately place a spell that would erase any form of consciousness and will. They don't want a god but instead a puppet. A very powerful puppet.
This method was devised knowing an inherent weakness of the gods. Gods are in their most vulnerable after they were just born. These people decided to exploit this brief moment of weakness and enslave a god. For what kind god of they created, they did not care. In their minds, they held the belief of the supremacy of the god race and any kind of god is powerful enough to thwart their enemies.
But this ambitious plan became their undoing. For they were unaware of another inherent characteristic of the god race. All members of the race are closely tied to each other. This meant that all members o the race could sense the state of each member and most importantly, the birth of one.
The group was close to success, very close. It could have been the crowning achievement of humanity just after the birth of the Wizard but alas it is doomed to fail.
Bright light enshrouded the chamber as each one of the members fell lifelessly to the ground. Atop the pile of corpses stood a valiant figure of a man. Bright golden armor adorned his body. On his right hand, he held a celestial spear and on his left arm is a shield. His eyes surveyed the place with disdain but when his gaze landed on the newborn goddess, it softened for a moment before it reverted to the usual haughtiness.
"Put this on." He handed her a long piece of fabric to cover herself. "The court ordered me to bring you back for your baptism ceremony."
She soon found herself inside a majestic palace. But it was not a breathtaking experience as the man in golden armor brought her inside a hall without any preparation. Gods of various domain gathered to witness the new goddess. For gods of higher ranking, they are situated at the higher stands of the hall overlooking the lower class gods.
As one of the Chief gods tapped his scepter, the murmurs and whispers are silenced.
The ceremony proceeded without a hitch. But there's one thing that prevailed throughout, it's the excitement in the eyes of the gods in attendance. Even some of the higher gods have looks of anticipation in their eyes. Even if her divinity is one of the most useless and despised ones, they still welcomed her.
"Once again, let us welcome the God of Magic."
Now, why would the gods welcome someone that was made to oppose them? Simple, gods are emotional beings. For all the power they wield, it's balanced by their emotions. If gods were to be like machines, humans would have never survived. That's why most gods. if not all of them, are prone to do impulsive things such as marrying mortal women, starting wars, mass genocide, the enslavement of a race and many, many more.
And when gods were given another family member after thousands of years, they were ecstatic. Ever since their total domination of the world, the birth of a new god has never happened, at all. They are long aware of the identities of their creators. And when they usurped control, they destroyed all methods about their creation for obvious reasons. But it seemed they missed one.
With humans reduced to such a state, it is obvious that the birth of a new god is impossible. Nature cannot possibly create a new one. It is the humans who could possible accomplished such feat.
The new magic god is a welcome addition to their celestial family. And after a day of her arrival, different gods came knocking on her door showering her with gifts. At first, it felt surreal. To be admired and loved by a lot of people, this privilege can only be acquired by the so-called, "Last God."
But soon, she found herself in a hopeless situation. For her divinity to oppose her race, she felt like an outcast. Even if the gods treated her kindly but deep inside she knew that she doesn't belong to them. It's all because of her stupid divinity.
"Why am I proclaimed as the Goddess of Magic?"
"I don't know. Maybe because there no more domains to be occupied?"
The goddess of magic let out an annoyed sigh. "Stop kidding around." She looked at her companion, the God of War, begging him to spout another of his nonsense so that she could pummel him legally.
"Just kidding, just kidding." Sensing her irritation, the god decided to stop his actions. "Why can't you just accept your role?"
"How could I?!" her shrill voice almost broke the god's divine eardrums. After years of bottling the feeling, she snapped.
"How could I?! Those filthy humans created me to become a puppet and maybe oppose all of you. And even as a god, I'm entirely useless. Nobody will pray to me because all the magic users out there are basically against us. I can't even boast of my accomplishments of magic because of that cursed Wizard! Then what am I gonna do?! Tell me! Tell me!" The pent up emotion came gushing like a broken dam. How long did she stay silent?
The god decided to stay silent.
"Maybe… maybe, is shouldn't have been resued. I should have become a puppet. At least, that way… I could be useful… even if I become enemies with you."
"Don't say such things." The god said with seriousness.
"How could someone like you know what I'm feeling?"
"Just… don't. And even if I could not know it first hand, but have you forgotten our abilities? Everyone can sense your sadness. We've been trying to help but you are the one who's pushing us away. Even some of the Godkings are worried about you. You don't have to feel alone anymore. We could feel what you feel, so for the sake of having a pleasant life stop sulking. Remember, we will always be there with you, because we are a family."

After their heart to heart talk, the goddess's dissatisfaction lessened. Even if she still wanted to be seen as someone useful, it did not bother her to a great extent. Her change of attitude was, of course, felt by all of the gods and they were genuinely happy for her.
But her days of bliss ended because of him.
