Molemo adjusted himself on the couch so he was directly facing Les. He wanted to assess every reaction towards what he was about to reveal.
"Les, I want to inform you something about me which I never shared with anybody."
"Ok Molemo. I guess its much better we get to know each other first."
"Les, besides my current family and previous family, not even my friends know about what I am about to reveal to you."
"Do you have to? Why cant we go on more dates and get to know each other first?" Les said this with a serious face, afraid that Molemo was rushing things.
"Leseli, my beautiful light," he said these words gently caressing her cheek, "I am not young. I believe I am almost five years older than you. Its the first time that a lady has trespassed all my love defences without doing anything. I found you and you deserve to know who your man is."
His face had changed its gentleness, his eyes had grown complicated; a mix of uncertainty and anger and relief at the same time.
Les watched him and nodded her head, giving him a very sweet smile. Molemo felt like he had suddenly found a water fountain in the middle of the dessert; a breeze in a typical hot summer day.

MOLEMO
His mother was a teacher and his father worked in the diamond mines in another district. He was born almost eight years after his parents were married.
His paternal family wanted their son to divorce his wife and marry a daughter of one of their friends, claiming that his mother, Mpho(gift) was infertile.
However, Molemo's father, Khotso (peace) stood by his wife and even cut ties with his family to protect his wife. Mpho never bore a grudge against her in-laws. She would help them secretly do that her husband would never find out.
Khotso had given up the idea of having a child. He never wanted to find out who was barren. Eight years later, he was very surprised to learn that his wife was four months pregnant.
Mpho was scared bacause she had given up any idea of having a child. She had met with a priest who informed her that seven years ago, she was given a concortion which acted as a birth control within her body.
She was informed that she will be with child but should not tell her husband untill she was four months pregnant. Although she did not hold much onto superstitions, a child was way too precious for her.
After the family of two discovered the treasure within their grasp, they exhausted all their means to move from the city to the village. Mpho did need regular check-ups, and they opted to travel rather than live within their relatives.
Five months later a healthy baby boy was born. It was glorious and blissful. They too had an amazing chance to have their in their hands, a child who was their own blood.
Tears flooded their faces as theh recalled how much they have tried, and how they gave up that idea and accepted what was to come.
Khotso named his son Molemo, because grace had been bestowed upon them.
