Chapter 54 - Aichi Prefecture

Early the next morning, Feng Ye, Wu Ya, Chu Feng, Haruta, Akihiko, and Yotsuba are holding carry on luggage and board the plane headed to Aichi Prefecture. Aven City naturally has their own airport, however, it is not as large as an international airport and isn't available for anyone but residences of Aven City or preapproved individuals which have to go through an application process.

Naturally, with Akeno's approval, the six individuals easily boarded it and are on their way.

The flight is pretty standard. It is smaller plane with fewer passenger seats. All seats are filled, however, as it is a fully loaded flight to the destination. The flight is rather quick. A short hour flight and they have already arrived.

Naturally, after arriving, the difference in technology and disparity can be noticed. No longer are there super high tech fancy structures which are commonly found in Aven City. Although the buildings can still be considered more advanced than the buildings found in Feng Ye's old world, the disparity is still quite large when compared to Aven.

A taxi ride directly from the airport to the hotel was arranged. Thus, the group of six are quickly on their way to the hotel to check in.

While on the way, the group was able to take a look at the variety of differences and features that Aichi Prefecture has.

Specifically, Feng Ye and the others have arrived at Nagoya, the capital of Aichi Prefecture. Nagoya is a manufacturing hub with a rich cultural heritage with numerous landmarks such as the Atsuta Shrine, Nagoya Castle, etc.

The group quickly arrive at the hotel. A simple word can be used to describe it. Luxurious. The hotel has around twenty floors with numerous facilities which include indoor and outdoor pools, fitness area, variety of dining areas, and other recreational facilities such as a massage parlor and spa.

Getting quickly assigned rooms after checking in, the group of six were given six single suites. Thus, each of them had a nice master sized bed.

The concert starts officially the next day, thus, the group after settling in split ways to go explore the different tourist attractions within Nagoya.

Feng Ye, Chu Feng, and Wu Ya had decided to go visit Nagoya Castle. Haruta, Akihiko, and Yotsuba, however, went to visit Atsuta Jingu which is a prominent shrine to a sacred sword. Atsuta Jingu is known as one of Japan's most important Shinto shrines.

Haruta's choice is rather far from the hotel they are staying at. As soon as they checked in, they called a ride to drive them to their destination.

Nagoya Castle is much closer, thus, Feng Ye and the others decided to walk there while enjoying the local environment. The streets are quite lively as numerous tourist shuffle about. The streets are filled with stores which all have a jubilant atmosphere. Truly this scene makes one sigh at the prosperity.

On the way, the trio stop by a restaurant which sells Miso Katsu. In Nagoya, there are numerous local cuisines that are a must taste which include the Miso Katsu, Tebasaki, Miso Nikomi Udon, Ankake Spaghetti, and Tenmusu.

Miso Katsu specifically is a deep fried pork cutlet topped with thick miso sauce. It is essentially Nagoya's version of Tonkatsu.

Tonkatsu is a Japanese dish that consists of a breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet. It involves cutting the pig's back center into 2-3 centimeter thick slices, smearing with bread crumbs, frying them in oil, and then serving with Japanese Worcestershire sauce, rice, and vegetable salad.

The thick miso sauce is created using aka-miso.

Walking in and quickly getting seated, Chu Feng immediately orders three portions of Miso Katsu. A very quick wait time is experienced as the food arrives very quickly.

"Ah, this dish is known as a highlight in this area's local cuisine." Chu Feng explains.

"Interesting. So, breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet." Feng Ye looking at the menu description mutters.

Three servings quickly arrive and the three eat up, pay the bill, and head out.

Several minutes of walking and the three are in front of Nagoya Castle. This castle is known as one of the most important castle towns in Japan which was a post station on the Minoji road linking two of five important trade routes.

Nagoya Castle was Japan's first castle to be designated a National Treasure. Even after wartime air raid destruction, it was deemed historically important enough to be designated a National Historic Site. Restoration work being carried out is returning Nagoya Castle to original condition.

Following the stream of tourists, Feng Ye and the others head along to explore. There are a variety of areas in this castle keep which include the Hommarua Area, Ni-no-maru Area, and Nishi-no-maru Area.

Methodically, visiting each one, Feng Ye, Wu Ya, and Chu Feng were able to obtain a variety of memorable pictures and experiences. After an hour of walking around, the group takes a washroom break in the Hommaru Area near the Hommaru Palace.

Hommaru Palace is the last area that needs to be seen. Chu Feng leading Wu Ya and Feng Ye into the palace strolls around and then accidentally bumps into a passerby tourist.

This tourist was a female who was wearing a pair of sunglasses and a hat. As Chu Feng was chatting with Feng Ye and Wu Ya, he turned around too quickly, thus, colliding with this female quite hard. This resulted in the female falling to the floor and Chu Feng staggering back a few steps.

"Sorry!" Chu Feng apologizes as he helps this female up. During the collision, the female's sunglasses were knocked off her face which allowed Feng Ye to clearly see the appearance of this female.

Chu Feng is stunned for a little moment when he sees the individual's face. Isn't this the popular seiyuu that they were about to see tomorrow?!

Wu Ya and Feng Ye behind Chu Feng also are startled when they recognize this popular seiyuu. This clearly was Kana Hanazawa the famous voice actress and singer.

"Oh!" Chu Feng exclaims.

Kana Hanazawa at this time knows that her appearance has been exposed, however, she calmly replies, "Hello, could you please give me the sunglasses over there?"

Hearing her speak, Chu Feng recovers and hands over the sunglasses then helps her up. "Sorry about that!" He continues to apologize.

"No worries." Kana Hanazawa at this time is thankful Chu Feng wasn't a diehard fan who would immediately be so startled that they would scream her name. Looking around, she is secretly relieved that no one else seemed to notice.

This was simply due to Chu Feng blocking her line of sight. As Chu Feng helps her up, she realizes Wu Ya and Feng Ye looking over at this direction.

"Uhm. Sorry about our friend here." Feng Ye walks over with Wu Ya and also apologizes.

Noticing that these three were a group, Kana once again is relieved. Today was the day before her concert and she decided to stroll and take a look at this tourist attraction as then next few days will be extremely busy. Besides this event, she hasn't been seen through.

Wu Ya inquiries in a quiet voice at this time. "Are you the Kana Hanazawa? The one hosting a concert tomorrow?"

A favorable impression of Wu Ya is formed in Kana's mind due to her quiet voice.

"Yes. Would you happen to be attending?" Kana replies softly.

"Yeah. A group of us will be there! Do you mind if we take a photo?" Wu Ya replies.

Kana smiles. "Thank you for the support! It is really appreciated! As for a photo- sure. However, we will need to find a quieter area."

Kana, Chu Feng, Wu Ya, and Feng Ye head to a shaded area behind the Hommaru Palace where no other tourists can be seen wandering around as it is not the main path and there is nothing to see behind the building.

A series of photos are taken with Kana.

"Thanks!" Feng Ye and the others express their thanks.

"No problem! I have to go now. Hope you enjoy tomorrow's concert!" Kana says as she separates from the group.

Heading back to the hotel Chu Feng laughs.

"Seriously, what luck! Haruta would definitely regret missing this opportunity." Chu Feng smiles as he visualizes Haruta's regretful expression.

The three on their way back didn't notice the vision of a passerby sitting down in one of the outdoor patios of a restaurant. This individual is actually a young girl. She also looks like a tourist as she wears a simple dress. Nothing seems to be out of the ordinary in regards to this young girl. However, if one is observant enough, they would notice that on her neck is a necklace. This necklace has a single pendant with a single "-1" engraving on it.

As Feng Ye and the others pass by, this girl also gets up and begins to follow them.
