TvReporter: Good morning shallow hills welcome once again to 'Morning coffee' where we gobs mack you awake with the latest news today is a sad day for our town a day in our history that we can never forget today is the 6th annual death anniversary for two young ladies Lily Colt and Mary Clinton both just eighteen when tragedy struck may we have a moment of silence for them please..." the news reporter's rehearsed smile drop into and equally rehearsed frown as she bowed her head slightly.
"Ok in other news..." and then just like that the frown vanished replaced by her previous smile going on about other news as if two seconds ago she wasn't talking about two young girls death
Benjamin Colt forcefully switched of the television and slammed the TV on the living room table, his eyes frozen over, he had changed in the last six years he became more strict, colder, harsher, sometimes he didn't even recognize himself.
He refused to show any emotion to anyone in fear that they might find him weak, but inside that six foot two muscled man was a man dying to release all his emotions and cry his heart out, different emotions plagued him, from guilt to regret to sadness.
He had thought of killing himself but he couldn't do that to his remaining family so he held himself strong.
The death of Lucy Colt and Disappearance of Maia Patterson shook the town to its inner core, it made people to suddenly realise that although they were a small community it didn't mean they were safe from any danger.
Maia Patterson was not yet known to be dead because authorities never found her body, but they had found traces of her blood, while on the case of Lily they found her body under their town bridge covered in her own blood and with a bloody messed up unrecognizable face, her parents even refused to show up for the autopsy claiming that it was too much.
Although it was the most devastating even for the colt family, the dark ominous cloud still had its silver lining.
With their daughters death the towns people finally found out the importance of learning how to protect themselves, so they all registered in Mr Colt's dojo, soon the dojo became too small because of the number of students they were gaining ranging from the seven year olds to people in their
ate sixties or more.
It had helped them to get back on their feet and also made the Colt's the richest family in Swallow hills.
Their daughters death also mended the relationship between Mr and Mrs Colt and rekindled their lost love their only regret is that it took the loss of their daughter to help them.
"Sir... sir...the limo is ready"
He shook himself out of his thoughts and faced his Secretary with vacant eyes, he only nodded his head and stood up his secretary following him from behind cowering in fear of the ice that fell of his master.
He rushed towards the car and cast a glance towards the house that had been vacant for years without anyone thinking of buying it, he had thought of buying the land but could not find anybody to buy it from since the land didn't belong to the town, his brows arched as he found a moving truck with the big bold caption 'lifter brothers' removing items from their truck and placing them inside the house .
"Nick..." he called his secretary already in the front seat ready to drive
"Yes sir?" he humbly answered .
"Who is that?"
"I don't know yet sir she just showed up claiming to be the owner her name I believe is a Thorn Adolphus Sir..."
Benjamin nodded his head, what kind of name is Thorn, the name parents give their children these days
Before he could say anything else his phone buzzed and a message appeared on the screen
'Are you on your way?'
His heart warmed and a faint smile stretched on his face, his relationship with his wife was certainly better now, she knew how much he hated speaking on this day even though he had to, so she opted towards sending a text.
'Yes'
He typed and sent to her.
Soon his phone buzzed again
'OK see you later love'
He smiled again and locked his phone squatting so he could enter his car.
He closed the door and gestured for the car to move, the car roared to life and he left his spot on the driveway entering the road.
Nick was wary of the many items that were placed on the road, he drove slowly so he wouldn't cause any damage,as they passed the house next to his, Bencaught sight of a woman with dyed purple hair, he chuckled to himself at how women could be so weird with their fashion choices.
Then she turned as if feeling his eyes and locked her eyes with his, brown eyes that looks as dark as the darkest chocolate stared right at his equally dark ones, for a moment recognition flashed before him before she turned away.
Leaving him stunned and his heart beat erratic without knowing the reason why.
"Nick.."
"Yes sir"
"Who was that woman?"
"I believe that was the Ms Adolphus Sir"
"I want information "
His secretary just nodded his head and drove on
"I want information on her
