"What are you doing out here?" a nurse asked walking toward me. I just smiled at her know that I wasn't supposed to be up on the roof.
"I got lost." I replied with a grin.
"You sure look lost." the nurse smile sitting down next to me. I was thankful for this because I wasn't ready to go back inside to my cold disinfect smelling room. I watched the kids play at the playground with a weight on my stomach wishing more than anything to do that.
"I know you don't want to hear this but you need to go in." she stated after five or so minutes. I didn't argue with her but with her help got to my feet hanging on my iv stand made my way back to my room.
The moment we made it to my room i laid in bed, the hundred-foot walk from the roof to my room made me exhausted so i fell asleep pretty quickly.
"Mason, wake up. Please we been waiting forever." a sweet voice begged. I could feel them rubbing my hair and laying on my chest. Did i go into a coma?
I yawned stretching then sat up...in a room that wasn't my hospital room. This room looked like something in a castle with stone walls, velvet curtian hanging on the wall and around the bed, fancy rugs on the floor, with beautiful artwork on the walls. The most beautiful thing in the room was the girl right beside my bed. She looked like a goddess with her white silk gown trimmed with gold, flowing blonde hair to her waist, and piercing blue eyes. It took me a moment before i could talk because her ears were long and pointed. I wondered if i died or if this was an amazing dream.
"Im sorry what did you say?" I asked.
"I'm so glad you are finally awake, we all waited for you." she smiled.
"Where am i?" i asked still looking around at the amazing room.
"You are in the Ray Castle." she smiled like she just gave me the answer i wanted but it just confused me more. Before i could ask anything else she wrapped arms around me hugging me tight then kissing me like i was someone so important to her. I didn't have the heart to tell her otherwise or maybe i just wanted this.
"Servant, tell father that he is awake!" she demanded to which a lady dress in a black dress with a white apron bowed then hurried out the room. I noticed another took her place but I could see her face because she looked down. The girl ordered her to get me some food and again the maid hurried out the room while another took her place.
"No you mustn't, you been asleep for ten years. Your body not strong." she stated holding me from getting up.
"Who am I?" I asked quietly like this was something i didn't want anyone to know.
"You must have forgotten your memories." she replied with a sad smile making me feel bad.
"I'm sorry." I cried to which she smile leaning in kissing me one more time but before she could explain a man in red robes with a grey beard and hair rushed in the room followed by others who seem extremely happy. The girl moved to the side to let them hug me but she pulled the robes man back whispering something to him which made his face turn grim.
"Everyone stop, introduce yourself the boy lost himself." the robed man said making everyone look upset. Was i really that important to all of them.
"I am your mom Cala, and this is your father, Macon." a woman wearing a plain blue dress with a man who wore armor with a sword on his hip. They too had long pointy ears, mom had green eyes with brown while dad had gold eyes sliver hair.
"Yara, your older sister." a young woman stated wearing a yellow dress and she too had pointed ears. Her eyes were gold with brown hair
"Rose." a little girl muttered shyly wearing a red dress while her silver hair was pulled back and her gold eyes looked down.
"This is your baby sister." mom stated.
"I'm the king of The Ray Kingdom Mart Pace but call me sir or father." the robbed man explained.
"I'm the eldest princess Yassmine of The Ray Kingdom and your future wife." the goddess-looking girl explained bowing to me. I just stared at her not knowing what to say.
My dad along with Yara grabbed a large mirror to put in front of me. I had green eyes, brown hair, and i too had long pointed ears. I also looked very pale and sickly.
"Your name is Mason Winter." mom said as i stared in awe at the mirror. I stared at her confused because that was my name but It also hit me that they said i was asleep for ten years. That's how long i been in and out of the hospital fighting this sickness, did i finally lose that fight.
Yassmine wrapped her arms around me telling me that everything is alright. I put my head on her shoulder hugging her tight while crying, others patted me on the back to comfront me but I wasn't ready to die yet.
