Chapter 1342: The Sword of Damocles
Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
Kashawen naturally went to the Milky Way Alliance to discuss the attack oN the Arbiter Republic once they declared war.
As Aslan's comrade and ally, the Versailles Empire was the first to respond. The Versailles Empire wasn't weak, being in the top fifty of the Milky Way Alliance. There was no eternal friendship, only eternal interest. The other countries in the Milky Way Alliance started responding as well.
The ten permanent members — Aslan Empire, Arbiter Republic, Federal Republic of Manalasuo, Maya Empire, Atlantis, Solar System Federation, Hail Cloud Alliance, Lya Sphinx, Maacah Republic, Gemini Star — held the resources and military powers of the Milky Way Alliance. Of the ten, the Maya Empire, the Hail Cloud Alliance, and the Maacah Republic had openly endorsed their support for Aslan and was about to send their fleet to and mecha to destroy the root of all evil, the Arbiter Republic.
The Maya Empire's ambition to attack was very strong, so they were the first to respond. The Hail Cloud Alliance and Aslan were relatively close, so they chose to be allies since the chances of victory were obviously higher with Aslan. They would also be able to obtain certain statues of superiority after the war. As for the Maacah Republic, it was the second weakest of the ten permanent members. Their power had been on the decline over the past few years. They were aware of the reshuffling power after the war, so they had to choose a side. Aslan was an easy choice.
Lya Sphinx joined in after these three. More than half of the Milky Way Alliance was with Aslan, which held nearly one third of their joint military power and resources. There were many small countries in the Milky Way Alliance, but they only had self-defense fleets and were not able to participate in a war of this scale. They would, at the very most, show where their allegiance was.
One-on-one would result in heavy casualties on both sides, but this lineup was extremely unfavorable to Arbiter. Especially since their enemy was now in control of the Heaven's Arrow Federation and the Thunder Alliance's vast resources, meaning they were ready for a protracted war.
There was no need to mobilize Aslan's internal forces owing to Princess Huiyin's disappearance. The accumulated strength would show at this time. Their arsenal was working around the clock, manufacturing warships. New mecha were also being made.
At the same time, the Darkness Empire voiced their support for the Aslan Empire. They found that the Fairy Star was also in cohorts with the Saint. They would destroy the Fairy Star.
The thing that worried Ryan the most was finally about to happen. Once the balance was broken, these contradictions would erupt completely and the suppressed regional wars would also explode out of control.
They were originally enemies. The Fairy Star had mobilized everyone against the Darkness Empire. It was a kill or be killed situation.
The Solar System Federation maintained their neutral stance amongst the ten permanent members. It was their usual stance. The outcome of the war wouldn't make much change to their position due to their unique historical status. Of course, that was the best outcome. The Federal Republic of Manalasuo maintained neutral, or perhaps it was better to say that they were undecided. They could take the opportunity to stand by Aslan, which would topple the scale of victory towards Aslan. However, what about after the war?
Would the Federal Republic of Manalasuo be going up against the Aslan Empire alone then? They wouldn't be able to survive without one another, and Manalasuo understood this principle. However, it was also impossible for Manalasuo to help the Arbiter Republic. They were going to sit this one out and reap the spoils later.
Gemini Star's neutral stand didn't come as a surprise. Ryan had been against war from the beginning and was against the two sides going to war. He hoped the two countries could come back to the negotiation table, but that was no use. He wasn't the leader of the Milky Way Alliance anymore and had lost his right to speak. This concerned the interests of each country, which was not something he could do anything about.
The surprise was from the Atlanteans. They were the most loyal allies of Aslan, but now they chose to remain silent without sending any resources nor technology backup. The Maya Empire, on the other hand, was more enthusiastic.
The changes were confusing. Even so, Arbiter wasn't in any better position.
There wasn't an ounce of fear in the Arbiter Republic. This was the great Arbiter Republic, a country built from war. Almost everyone was a soldier. They had the strictest military service system of the entire Milky Way Alliance, which they were proud of. Aslan's invasion provoked the strongest reaction from them. They were always on the beating side, and Aslan was playing with fire.
On Arbiter , a dense fleet was raring to go. Countless mecha were also ready for battle.
"We have no fear and we don't yield. We give the enemy only sorrow and their blood. We are the great Arbiters. We can protect our own country and our loved ones. Engrave into your hearts. The lion will never grovel in front of the sheep. Brave Arbiters, destroy your enemies!"
Malawi's war cry was broadcasted to the Arbiter Republic and all of their federations and allies. The warriors raised their weapons. Yes, they were from the great Arbiter Republic, no one could rival them!
The country behaved like a huge war machine once the war started. Both sides knew that this wasn't a war they could finish overnight. They were cautious. A huge number of investigative fleets were sent out when they were mobilizing the fleets. The Aslan Empire was aggressive. They had more numbers and blocked the assistance from the outside world, surrounding them. The Arbiter Republic also held their calm. They knew they could only rely on themselves in this situation. They didn't need to expect any allies if they couldn't withstand the first wave. Conversely, diplomatic strategy could be played out if they could withstand it.
At the same time, Arbiter's diplomats were working hard, not to ask for assistance, but to disrupt the various regions into a state of confusion. That would be most advantageous to Arbiter. Aslan's coalition was powerful, but Arbiter had the confidence to resist them as long as Manalasuo and Atlantis didn't join in!
This was the most crucial part. Manalasuo's motives were clear. They were just going to sit around and grab all the advantages. They might even help them at certain stages, but what about Atlantis?
That was what the Arbiters were most worried about. No country in the Milky Way Alliance dared to provoke Atlantis. It was in their nature not to seek anything that wasn't theirs, which was different from the Mayans, who were actively seeking energy. The problem was that everyone knew the relationship between Atlantis and Aslan. Fortunately, Atlantis had chosen to remain silent and was openly neutral. They generally didn't involve themselves in the wars of humans, which was okay if they had this position, because they didn't want to make an exception for Aslan. However, they didn't mention that at all.
Which meant that there was still a possibility of Atlantis participating in the war.
This was undoubtedly the sword of Damocles hanging over Arbiter's head.
Chapter 1343: No Regrets Having Once Loved

Mars and Olivios returned to their motherland, Arbiter. To be honest, Wang Zheng liked the temperament of the Arbiters. They would gladly fight their enemies to the death no matter how strong their enemy was. To defend their motherland was their greatest honor.
Jondi Lilick headed to Manalasuo. He might not be able to influence Manalasuo, but Jondi knew just how much General Bolet admired Wang Zheng. He might not be able to affect Bolet's decision, but he had to at least let General Bolet know the truth, which might have certain influence on the strategies deployed by Manalasuo.
Meng Tian wanted to go back to the Solar System, and Yuan Jing and the rest were going to follow her. They had sworn to fight for Meng Tian. Wang Zheng was going to return to Tita, but he had to return to the Solar System first due to the current situation. He needed more first-hand information.
Old Merchant wasn't going to return to the Solar System. He was headed directly for Titatitan Star. The Saint was only after Wang Zheng, so it was safe for him to head to the Solar System. However, Old Merchant's identity was too sensitive. It was impossible for him to wash off the perception that he was one of the Saint. Once this was made known, both Aslan and the Saint would come knocking on his door. Titatitan Star was a good place for him to hide. Aslan and the Saint had no energy to care about him as long as he didn't reveal his location.
Yuan Jing and the others had finally met "The One." They weren't satisfied with him before because they hadn't met him. Now that they had experienced some things together, they realized that this person was really calm. He knew he would be attacked by the Heaven -rank master who might even be the strongest man in the universe. Yet he still dared to put himself in danger so that they could save Meng Tian.
Wang Zheng, Meng Tian, and the rest had embarked on the journey to the Solar System. It was obvious that many in the spaceport were tense. A good many soldiers with live ammunition were around. It was the eve of war, and the Milky Way Alliance had lost its role and had now become the generator of Aslan. That was unfavorable towards the Arbiter Republic.
Meng Tian finally got into contact with Meng Ao. He might be stern, but his vibe was that of an overjoyed father.
Perhaps those of military background couldn't express their feelings well, but Meng Ao didn't say much. "Wang Zheng, come back quickly. I've sent a military craft to fetch you all, just in case."
"Yes, General!" Wang Zheng said respectfully.
Meng Ao did have many other things he wanted to say, but it wasn't the right occasion. It could be seen from his face that Meng Ao must have been really tired all this while. Being worried about Meng Tian and about the Saint. It had become a world war in the blink of an eye. The Solar System's position was very difficult. There was internal strife between those who wanted to remain neutral, Meng Ao and his people, and others who wanted to side with the Aslan Empire. Aslan was "being forced by the situation," what else were they going to wait for?
However, that wasn't what Meng Ao and his people wanted. Something was definitely wrong with Kashawen's operation this time. Arbiter might be ambitious, but it was highly impossible for them to make such a huge move. They didn't believe it. Meng Ao hadn't revived the Solar System just to sit on the fence.
Coupled with the early warning from the Solar System, they decided to be neutral. They took the opportunity to test it out and to determine the direction of the Solar System. Would they continue to plummet, or rise up again?
Meng Tian smiled. She'd died once, so her perspective of the world was different now. Previously, she might've felt that her father was indifferent, but she could feel her father's care this time. His eyes were moist, but he held the tears in. She could finally understand.
"Wang Zheng, thank you!" Meng Tian suddenly said.
"I think there's no need for it," Wang Zheng said. Meng Tian's appearance hadn't changed much, but he knew that her heart had changed. It now felt very natural and easy to be around her.
"Do you know what I want to thank you for?" Meng Tian asked playfully.
A girl that used to be cold had suddenly become so cute. Wang Zheng couldn't help but be stunned. This was the only girl that Wang Zheng had had relations with, so it would be a lie to say that he didn't have any feelings. Wang Zheng wasn't God. He was just another human and, honestly, he was still rather weak when it came to the affairs of the heart.
"Don't think too much about the current situation. Let's plan ahead after we understand more about the situation back in the Solar System!" Meng Tian said.
Wang Zheng laughed. "You think too highly of me. This is war, I'm just a mech warrior. I can only do my best to protect my homeland and my friends!"
"Am I included?" Meng Tian asked.
Wang Zheng nodded without a trace of hesitation, making Meng Tian smile radiantly. "The Aslan Empire isn't almighty. The key to this war lies in whether or not the Arbiter Republic can withstand the first wave of Aslan's attack and also Atlantis' stand. The outcome is still unknown."
"The coalition forces might be huge, but Arbiter's fleet and ground defenses are the best in the Milky Way Alliance. The strength of the coalition forces lies in number, but to kill Arbiter in one blow? I don't believe it." Wang Zheng could feel the pride and hardworking nature of the Arbiters from Mars. They were strict with themselves. This was the general feeling of the whole country. Some might think the people of this country were boring, but their true strengths could only manifest during war.
"War is just the big picture. Many factors could affect the outcome. Don't belittle your own power. Individuals have been able to change the course of history many times. I think you can. I think it's really important to us if you can balance the power of these Saint masters."
The biggest problem of the Solar System was that they had no Heaven-rank warriors. Neither the Lie family nor the Doyle family had someone like that. They only had a special class, but that wasn't enough. The Sage might have reached it, but his ability wasn't for battle. They were in a precarious state without a Heaven-rank warrior.
"I'm still quite far away from Heaven-rank. Otherwise, I would have just gone to save you."
"You are my master, I believe in you. Your disciple is so good anyway," Meng Tian said encouragingly.
Memories suddenly swirled through them. The first close contract when imparting the breathing technique, even really being together. These were all deeply etched memories with no embarrassment, only warmth. There was even a sense of plain happiness between them.
Meng Tian had never regretted it, even when she entered the petri dish. The time they were together was the happiest moment of her life because she had no regrets.
If the heavens were to give her another chance, she would stay by his stay quietly, just to see and feel him. This memory was the most precious to her.
Wang Zheng wasn't stupid. Both of them could feel the connection they had. No matter what, it was great that Meng Tian was still alive!
Chapter 1344: The Future
This honest and warm exchange made Meng Tian realise that the love between Wang Zheng and Aina was very deep. She believed that Wang Zheng was not totally heartless towards her. It was just that she never really fought with Aina. If it was before going to the Oracle Star, she might have avoided them and found a place to hide and watch them from afar. But now, she felt differently.
She wanted to be with someone she loved, even if it meant being friends only.
Wang Zheng had actually plunged into a stage of confusion because he did not know what to do. He could fight for Earth; this was for his country, for his nation. However, in actual fact, the Solar System was not involved in the war. If it was for invasion, it would be a different matter.
Right now, the big battle was between Aslan and Arbiter for the domination of the world. Wang Zheng was helpless to stop this. Truthfully, he did not want to get involved.
Wang Zheng also did not have the intention of inheriting the Saint. Of course, the power holder of the Saint had no such intention either. Overthrow the Saint?
Wang Zheng had yet to have such arrogance. During his school years, he only needed to work hard and defend the honor of his country. But the reality now was not as simple as black and white.
Yuan Jing and the rest were very happy after getting a new lease of life. After being granted entry into the Solar System, they were happily celebrating their renewed lives. Their thoughts were very simple thoughts: if they had to fight a war, they would follow Meng Tian and establish meritorious deeds. If there was no war, they would take things easy on the Solar System. This was not a bad idea either. To each their own.
The cadets from the major military academies hosted by the Milky Way Alliance who were from the two big empires had all returned to their countries to prepare for war. Neither Arbiter nor Aslan had stopped them. Even if it was war, they still had to adhere to the basic human laws.
This was only the beginning. How long would they hold fast to this law?
At the spaceport, Meng Ao was personally waiting for them. He was actually waiting for Meng Tian. If he was still so stern after the fact that his own daughter had escaped death, he would seem heartless if he still did not show any signs of feelings.
Meng Ao was really very happy. The feeling of helplessness was very difficult to bear. That fellow Wang Zheng was very dependable. If he were a couple with Meng Tian, Meng Ao would definitely approve. Unfortunately, there had been many scandals surrounding this guy. First, it was Ye Zisu, then Ai Xiaolu. Now it was the princess of the Aslan Empire.
However, once the war started, the two would drift apart indefinitely. Meng Ao was not concerned with all this. It was normal for young people to be in love. Who had never been young? He only hoped that Wang Zheng would walk out from this quickly. He was, after all, a man – he should aspire to travel far and make his mark. How could love be his only concern?
Wang Zheng had potential. There were possibilities of nurturing his personal strengths or leadership qualities.
The Moon was already fully nurturing Achilles. Achilles was already the aide-de-camp of the Lunar Alliance Commander, Drachma, with the rank of colonel. His performances at IG and SIG had been very military-like and he was a real talent. In addition, with his background as a member of the Heavenly King family, it was a big deal to not have started him at the rank of major general.
It was impossible for the Solar System to not make any move in this big war. Unlike Atlantis, they did not have the dominance to remain neutral. However, Meng Ao and the rest wanted to support Arbiter. The problem was, firstly, Arbiter had to be able to hold strong. Otherwise, it would be just like facing off with Aslan directly.
Lie Xin, on the other hand, was a major general in the Mars army. Due to recommendations from the Lie family and Sage Sect and with her performance at SIG, she was promoted directly. The key was that no one in the Mars army made any objections. Not even Achilles could compare to this. Mars had never been too concerned with rules and regulations.
Both of them had been specially nurtured by their families. Every possible resource and personnel had been directed at them. Furthermore, regardless of the higher levels of the family or the other planets, everyone felt that these two could lead their countries to victory in these troubled times.
But what about Wang Zheng?
Even though Meng Tian had high hopes for Wang Zheng and even though he was the Greatest King, the captain of Saruman Snake, so what?
According to the rules, Wang Zheng could become the captain of some special forces. After all, the order of seniority was the strictest on Earth. It was already pushing the limits if Wang Zheng could start with the rank of major. Although he had the support of Ye Bingwen, Wang Zheng did not have any family, nor did he have the support of any army. Even if he was given a high rank, he would not be able to command the troops. It would all be in vain.
It was different for Achilles and Lie Xin. The core of the personnel of the armies that they were commanding were made up of their families' members. In terms of leadership command, it would not pose as an issue. They need not spend time to convince the masses, all they needed was to prove themselves in the battles. However, Wang Zheng could not.
The rank of major itself was not the problem. The problem was which army should he join and in what capacity. This was the core issue.
If Wang Zheng was just an ordinary super warrior, many people would fight to have him. Unfortunately, he was not and there were a lot of interests involved. The only thing Meng Ao could do now was place him in his army and create a special force just for him and for him to lead. However, Meng Ao felt that this was like enslaving a dragon. With Wang Zheng's capabilities and foresight, it was wasting his talents if he was just confined to a trip on Earth. But he could not do more for Wang Zheng, because he too did not have the support of a big family.
The conclusion was the same old problem: a super warrior might not necessarily be a super general. Managing a five-member team was a completely different matter from managing a few thousand or million people army.
Wang Zheng was caught in a limbo.
In fact, regardless of which era, there was no escaping from this problematic background.
Similarly, Wang Zheng had to face this problem even if he was highly recommended by Ye Bingwen. Ye Bingwen was only a chancellor. His influence over the military was limited. Besides, he had a very close relationship with Wang Zheng. Thus, he had to be more discreet. Being overly supportive could lead to resentment. Others might think that Ye Bingwen was trying to establish an iron rule by installing his own man. The difference between the new powers and the legacy of the old families would become apparent.
The first thing Meng Tian did when she arrived on Earth was return home. It was time for her to go home to see her family. After surviving this ordeal, she had come to terms with her issues she had with her family. She had come to understand the concerns her family had for her.
At the same time, Wang Zheng was in Meng Ao's office. From Meng Ao, he officially understood the intentions of the Solar System, and the situations of Achilles and Lie Xin.
"Wang Zheng, you could consider joining my army and gaining some experiences, or consider other options. Honestly, I hope you could join my army. I will give you the greatest freedom and space for development. But I hope you understand that this space is also limited; that includes the future strategies of the Solar System, which is something that neither of us can decide," said Meng Ao. If it had been another person, he would have let that person develop under his wing. However, this was Wang Zheng. He did not want to bury such a seed of hope. Although both Achilles and Lie Xin were excellent as well and even possessed all the support from the best conditions, Meng Ao really did not think that Wang Zheng was a one hit wonder.
On the other hand, Wang Zheng sank into deep contemplation. What Meng Ao was saying was that both Achilles and Lie Xin had the chance for real development. They had the support of their families; even the matrices and strategies were prepared just for them. However, it was different for Wang Zheng. Even if Meng Ao had given him a certain freedom, it was limited to a small battle. Special forces?
Chapter 1345: The Inextinguishable Ambition
Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
It didn't matter to Wang Zheng. He had never been afraid of any challenge, nor did he care about where to begin, it was just… His thoughts were troubled now. Just like what Meng Ao had said, his thoughts were in Aslan… How was Aina?
The fact that the Aslan Empire was the mastermind behind everything must have come as a huge blow for Aina. He knew that from the broadcasts, all of which were Kashawen. The speaker from the royal family had said that Huiyin's disappearance was a huge mental blow to Aina. She was in treatment. At the same time, the special forces had found some clues about Huiyin and they would do their best to save their Princess. Nonetheless, everyone in the royal family would never yield to the terrorist organization. The Princesses themselves were prepared to be sacrificed at any time.
All sorts of information indicated that Aina must have rejected Kashawen's proposal. This was the choice of the royal family.
He wasn't worried for Huiyin. The Aslan Empire only needed a suitable opportunity to "save" her.
Even if Huiyin and Aina couldn't choose their own fates, Aina still protested strongly.
Wang Zheng could understand the toll this had on them, but he was an outsider. If Aslan was the one being invaded, he would've joined the war without hesitation. No matter whether it was for Aina or for freedom. He would fight. However, now the situation was totally opposite. He had no reason to fight, like Aina. Aina didn't have the confidence to lead the country and her warriors to war.
Meng Ao still gave Wang Zheng time to think. He had to decide the direction of his future.
The Solar System might not necessarily stand on Arbiter's side even after learning that Aslan was the mastermind. However, if Arbiter couldn't withstand the first attack, the Solar System might still stand on Aslan's side. In the event that they managed to block the attack, the Solar System would still have to consider their own interests first.
It would have been so much better if Wang Zheng was a warrior who knew nothing. Do whatever he was ordered to do. But Wang Zheng wasn't, and he couldn't act like a robot in war. That wasn't the source of his strength.
Oracle Star.
In the genetic fusion laboratory.
Sharjah began yet another busy day as soon as his assistant gave him his first cup of coffee for the day.
Sharjah walked routinely into his office through the long corridor. He opened his exclusive server, encrypted the internal information, and ran his own defense program before opening his encrypted mailbox. This was his daily routine even though most of the time, his mailbox was empty.
He wasn't disappointed today. A new email popped up. It was from his old classmate when he was studying in Aslan. It was a reply to his email three days back. It was still asking him to get back to his country. The crime he had committed twenty years ago was no longer a crime to the Milky Way Alliance of today. It was just a debate.
Sharjah laughed coldly. His current research was no longer the same project as twenty years back. Not many people could catch up with him in his world. After twenty years, it was still a debate. They couldn't understand that his research all those years back was the future of human development.
His current research might take humanity another hundred years to understand.
The truth was lonely and always controlled by a few people. The vast majority of the people rejected the truth because of fear.
They were human after all, a sad species that could only be happy when they lived in lies.
Nonetheless, the wisdom of a person was always limited. He needed more inspiration, more opinions to broaden his thinking. The current research had entered a situation where even he could hardly follow and understand. The email from his old classmate gave good insight to the problems he had recently encountered.
Originally, he just wanted to open the forbidden gate of the gods.
Now he realized that he was already in the backyard of the gods and was swimming in taboo.
He exited safely from his encrypted mailbox and downloaded the latest news of the Milky Way Alliance from his Skylink. He switched it off after his first coffee, left his office, and entered the experiment area.
The monster in the eyes of others was a sacred treasure to Sharjah.
Mutation? No, no, no, that's evolution! Change was good.
It was just that the direction of their evolution went wrong. They didn't have enough determination nor desire to survive. In evolution, Darwin's theory was that survival of the fittest was the natural law. Sacrifices were unavoidable with trial and error.
These were normal. The sacrifices were for humanity's future. They were martyrs.
Sharjah's world was passionate. He didn't care about the Saint. He only cared about his great ambition. His research would be the future of mankind! It would allow humans to walk out of the galaxy and dominate the universe of the endless void!
The assistants gathered and greeted Sharjah. Sharjah snorted coldly and arranged the schedule for today. He then hurried to the second floor of the laboratory.
His current attention was totally away from the first stage.
The first stage was simple and crude, which was why he would leave it to his subordinates. His energy would be on Lear and Luo Fei.
These two were the "miracles" he had created. They were the most successful up till now!
They were the keys to the backyard of the gods.
He called them — the Sons of God!
On the second floor of the laboratory.
Lear and Luo Fei were isolated. They had been sent into a special culture tank amongst those who passed the second stage. The concoction for the genetic modification was also specially prepared by Sharjah.
"Teacher."
Burrow quickly sorted out the new data he had in hand and went over to Sharjah when he saw him. "The data for the subjects is perfect, especially Mr. Lear. His control of the evolutionary gene has reached 76% and the data shows that there is still room for improvement. Mr Luo Fei's control is slightly lower, at 41%. However, his increase in ability is amazing. The other subjects are nothing compared to them. I believe that emotion is the key. Mr. Lear seems to have a genuine desire for evolution from his soul!"
"Is the human exogenous gene stable?" Sharjah was referring to the gene that retained the human appearance. Most of the failed experiments were because this part of the genes mutated and lost the human appearance to become a monster. Sharjah always believed that losing the human appearance equated to losing the essence of being human. It wasn't evolution, but regression.
"Both of their human exogenous genes are very stable. Mr. Lear is even able to control this range. As long as there's sufficient energy, their conversion time could complete in three seconds."
Sharjah nodded satisfactorily. "Continue monitoring this part of the gene. Extract this part from Luo Fei and see if there's any possibility of transplantation and replication."
"Yes."
Burrow turned to leave excitedly.
In laboratory number one.
Lear suddenly woke up from his dream. He turned his head and saw Luo Fei soaked in another culture tank, asleep. His eyebrows trembled, proving that he was still in control of his genes. This guy could sleep at any time, under any circumstances. Lear felt an inexplicable calm as he looked at him. He… was also afraid of loneliness.
Lear exhaled and turned his head to check the level of concoction in his culture tank.
It was three sections lower than the day before. He was getting more used to the absorption of these liquids. He was gradually getting numbed towards these painful feelings. It had instead been replaced by a kind of desire.
About a week ago, Lear could clearly feel his body eagerly accepting the concoction when he was immersed.
"Time's up."
Sharjah's voice sounded and the lights lit up in the laboratory. Lear heard the sounds of Luo Fei waking up. "Ah, Professor Sharjah, is it time for a meal?"
Luo Fei stretched lazily. They were totally different from the other subjects. They were free to roam as long as they were not in the culture tanks.
"Mr. Lear, this is the latest news about the Milky Way Alliance that you wished to know."
Sharjah put the downloaded news in the hands of Lear.
Obviously, Sharjah's act was done behind the Saint's back.
Chapter 1346: The Charm of Teacher Xiao Fei!
Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
He had never thought of himself as part of the Saint. They were just using each other, and now he had found the mission of his life — the Son of God! The Saint was merely a convenient party to provide him the ability to experiment.
Sharjah looked at Lear with the eyes of a fanatic. With his help, Lear would become the god of the new world.
He didn't care about the other gods of humans. This was like his baby. The feeling was a little crazy. No one could comprehend it.
"Professor, when will we be able to enter the third stage?"
"Erm… Your situations are quite special, and the time taken for you and the other subjects… ahem, is a little longer. However, according to the previous data, the more you absorb in the second stage, the more likely it will be for you to have a spurt in the third stage. Therefore, I suggest that you get fully prepared in the second stage so that we can succeed!"
Lear nodded. He trusted Sharjah's professional judgment. He knew himself and could see through others, just like how he understood Wang Zheng, Lie Xin, and the rest. He understood human nature and understood himself, which was why he could make clear judgments.
Nothing was more important than this experiment to Sharjah. These crazy scientists were similar to them, the only difference was their direction.
Luo Fei looked at the news that Sharjah had downloaded.
It was about a world war erupting. His eyes widened. Aslan was too cunning. Arbiter had to swallow it.
Lear just swept through it without feeling surprised. Kashawen was indeed Kashawen. A great strategist. Decisive and ruthless when she needed to be. Her own daughter was used as a bargaining chip. She was really the character to achieve great things.
The Saint and Aslan, this world had become interesting. It was the kind of world he desired. The kind Lear wanted to live on. His desire to obtain power got even stronger. How could he bear to die in such an interesting world!
"What about Wang Zheng and the rest?" Lear asked.
"According to the news from the Locks family, Lie Xin and Achilles are in place, but Wang Zheng doesn't seem to be doing anything," Sharjah said. Actually, he felt that there would be no need for Lear to care about these small fries once he broke through his limits. Of course, this was the mentality of humans.
Lear didn't say anything. These people underestimated Wang Zheng. All of this didn't matter. The only thing that could perhaps defeat Wang Zheng was women.
Xiao Fei returned as well. Aslan had tried their best to retain her, but she had decided to return to the Solar System immediately after she obtained certain information.
Xiao Fei was also the first person Wang Zheng wanted to meet after he came back. He felt that he should seek Xiao Fei's council.
They could see that the sexy principal was in great spirit ever since she learned that Wang Zheng had escaped the Oracle Star.
Wang Zheng walked around Ares College with a cap. He had not been back for a few years and there had been lots of changes. They had obtained superior resources and had more diversified sources of students now. Their degree of internationalization reflected on the level of the college.
The school was revamped and had an expanded floor space. They had, however, maintained their overall style. There was only one significant change, and that was the elements of Wang Zheng and the Saruman Snake battle team could be seen everywhere in the college.
Wang Zheng was now the spiritual leader of Ares College. After escaping the Oracle Star, Wang Zheng had been very tense. He knew that Aslan and Arbiter's war was just about to happen, but it didn't seem to have much impact elsewhere. Wang Zheng suddenly felt that he was getting old as he heard the laughter, ideals, and fighting spirits of the current students.
He wasn't very much older, but his experiences were more than what most people would experience in a lifetime. Wang Zheng hadn't been this relaxed for quite some time. He could feel his mind clearing up and the mess in his head was about to have a breakthrough.
He adjusted his cap snugly against his head and walked towards Xiao Fei's office. They hadn't met for quite some time. How was she doing?
He pushed the door open slightly. Xiao Fei raised her head and stared at the guy in the cap.
"Come in!"
"Class of X5289, Wang Zheng, reporting to the Principal!" Wang Zheng saluted and smiled. "Miss Principal, you're more beautiful than before!"
Wang Zheng's flattery wasn't very good, but he was speaking the truth. Xiao Fei's current status was extremely good, to Wang Zheng's surprise. Xiao Fei stood up. There was nothing out of the ordinary, but she had obviously put more effort into her make up today.
The most beautiful Principal in the Milky Way Alliance smiled her most radiant. "Welcome back, Wang Zheng."
Wang Zheng was a student, a fellow researcher, and a reliable man at times to Xiao Fei. It was strange how Xiao Fei got hooked onto this spiritual reliance on him.
"I heard that Senior Tucker is back. When can I meet him?" Xiao Fei had admired him for the longest time.
"Old Merchant is in Tita now. It is probably the safest there. Both the Saint and the Aslan Empire would probably create trouble for him."
Xiao Fei nodded. "Tita should be the safest place now. The Aslan Empire's energy is now on the Arbiter Republic. They won't come over any time soon. As for the Saint, well, they'll probably do the same. Kashawen would definitely not lose the pound over the pence. They will wait."
Xiao Fei had never stepped foot into the Oracle Star, but she had her own views about this as well. She might even have a clearer view since Wang Zheng might be biased.
"I feel assured now. I was wondering why they've yet to come for me over the past few days." Wang Zheng jested at himself.
"What plans do you have for the future, Wang Zheng?" Xiao Fei smiled.
Wang Zheng had never hidden anything from Xiao Fei. Aina and Huiyin were younger than him and relied on him, while Xiao Fei felt like a big sister. Wang Zheng shrugged to the question. "General Meng Ao gave me a choice, but I'm still undecided."
Xiao Fei didn't seem to be surprised. "Do you find something amiss?"
Wang Zheng nodded, but he didn't know where the problem was.
Xiao Fei smiled playfully and made Wang Zheng a cup of coffee. The whole process was slow and delicate. Wang Zheng wasn't in a hurry either. It seemed like he could just relax here. The outside world was thrilling and exciting, but home was where the heart was.
She placed the fragrant coffee in front of Wang Zheng. "Try my brew. A must for late nights. This is the one thing I'm good at other than research."
Wang Zheng inhaled the fragrance. "Wow, this is unrivaled. The person who marries you will be so fortunate."
Xiao Fei pinched Wang Zheng's face. "Rascal, you're rather bold, eh. You even dare to flirt with me after your trip out."
"Aiyaa, Miss Principal, image, image." Wang Zheng retracted immediately.
Xiao Fei was also appreciating her own coffee. "Do you know why I'm so relaxed now? It's because I know what I have to do now that I know Aslan is the mastermind. Return to Earth, my home. If the war arrives, I'll defend this place. I will help neither Arbiter nor Aslan. I would have stopped this war if I could, but I couldn't."
This was the key. Humans were programmed to separate if they were together for too long and vice versa. The Aslan Empire and the Arbiter Republic had been at peace for too long. In fact, if Aslan hadn't initiated, Arbiter Republic might not have stayed idle. Under Ryan's effective control, the desire for war was suppressed, but it couldn't be extinguished. War was inevitable, the existence of the Saint just made things more complicated and dangerous.
"What should I do then?" Wang Zheng waved his hand helplessly. He realized something through Xiao Fei's words. There was no good and evil in this war. Most of the participating countries were probably there for themselves.
"Only you will know your own route. I can only analyze for you as your teacher and your big sister. General Meng Ao doesn't think that the opinions he gave you were good either. If they were, he would have asked you to join the army directly. He didn't do that because you are different from Achilles and Lie Xin. Entering the army will just waste your talent. More importantly, the reason why you are so strong in battles is because you are fighting for your own reasons. If you were to be a soldier, no one would explain anything to you. You would just follow orders." Xiao Fei smiled. This rascal still regarded himself as a student even though he wasn't one anymore. He had grown so much stronger since.
He already had an imposing air without himself knowing. If he were to join the Earth's army… Who knows what would happen? Even Meng Ao wouldn't be enough to control him.
It was awkward for Wang Zheng. This was where he was confused. He wasn't afraid of battles, nor death. He knew what it was for every time he battled. For the glory of the school, for his comrades, for Li Yizhuo, for the Greatest King in SIG… He had his insistence.
Wang Zheng wasn't suited for a life of calm.
Xiao Fei knew Wang Zheng too well. That passion needed a place to release.
Chapter 1347: Fighting As He Wished

"Do you know what to do now?" Xiao Fei asked with a smile. In Wang Zheng's eyes, Teacher Xiao Fei was a goddess-like existence.
"The Titatitan Star!"
"That's right. I thoroughly understood the whole situation there. That's where suits you best now. You should maximize your influence and build a strength that belongs to you. I believe you are not an overly ambitious person. You can only control your own destiny and protect the people you want to only when you have power," Xiao Fei said gently as she controlled her feelings and her own voice.
Xiao Fei's last sentence woke Wang Zheng up. He had been feeling helpless, but he didn't want to feel that way!
He had to try even if he failed!
"Let me tell you one more thing. I've discussed it with Zisu. We are going to set up a branch of Ares College in Tita. It will be under your care."
"Me?"
"Yes, you can be the principal or a teacher, whatever you want to be, however you want it to be," Xiao Fei said. "Unless you don't want to do something on your own? Do you only want to be ordered around?" Xiao Fei was very persuasive. The series of exchanges had broken some hesitation and doubts in Wang Zheng's heart.
He would leave the school and would be fighting for his new goal.
Suddenly, the Saint didn't feel so important anymore. He had something he wanted to do. That beautiful Tita, his future!
Xiao Fei could feel that something was still bothering Wang Zheng amidst his excitement. "What about you and Aina?"
"I don't know either," Wang Zheng said, crestfallen.
There were so many twists and turns between Aina and him. There finally seemed to be some progress, but Kashawen had managed to destroy everything with no room for salvation.
"Sigh, what do you want me to say? Sometimes, you are really decisive, but at other times, you are really foolish. What's the point in mulling so much over it? Go to Aslan, find Aina, and ask her if she is still willing to forgo her title of princess and follow you to Tita. Bring her along if she's willing. If she's not, just break up. You're still young. Do it all decisively. There are many others in the world!"
Xiao Fei's words made Wang Zheng dumbfounded. His heart, however, was on fire.
That was right. What was he doing mulling over it all this time then?
The reason why life was so wonderful was because it was so short. He had to hear what Aina thought, but Wang Zheng wouldn't be a man if he didn't go to her personally!
"Don't worship me too much!" Xiao Fei couldn't help saying after seeing Wang Zheng at a loss for words.
"My dear Principal is smart and is my lighthouse. Ahem, the problem is… How should I go?" Wang Zheng asked with embarrassment. He would be falling right into Aslan's hands if he were to go over now.
"Are you dumb? Aslan is now trying to obtain international support by doing each country favors. It won't be difficult for you to enter Aslan before Arbiter is done for. Of course, we have to do something about your identity. I'll arrange that for you. As for entering the palace to meet Aina, well, you'll have to settle it yourself!" Xiao Fei said.
Wang Zheng stood up and Xiao Fei saw through him. This trip would be dangerous, but regardless of the outcome, Wang Zheng would be able to concentrate on the things he wanted to do.
"Alright, you don't need to rush it. There are some things I have to arrange with you before you go. Zisu has arranged something for the night with Yan Xiaosu. Plan well. Don't you find it very interesting? A whole new world from scratch!" Sparks flashed from Xiao Fei's eyes.
"…Teacher Xiao Fei, are you going too?" Wang Zheng asked instinctively.
"Yes, why? Do you not welcome me?"
"I would be grateful if Teacher Xiao Fei could go. I won't go astray with a beautiful lighthouse with me!"
"That's more like it!" Xiao Fei was a little irked after all this. She was most suited for research in the first place. Titatitan Star was heaven, but she couldn't leave Ares College until a successor appeared and the handover was completed. However, the process for the branch had already started. OMG's research and development center had been moved to Titatitan Star in recent years.
To Yan Xiaosu and Ye Zisu, Titatitan Star was their homeland, the home they had built with their own hands.
He met Yan Xiaosu after leaving Xiao Fei's office. He was now in disguise since he was famous. As the executive director of the KO Group, he was well known in the financial sector. From someone selling sanitary napkins to international mining business, he was a weather vane in the global financial world.
Compared to the low profile Ye Zisu, Yan Xiaosu went high profile as he expanded his influence. That fitted the style of Tyrant Su anyway. Of course, he had to go a few notches lower since he was now in the witch's territory.
Wang Zheng and Yan Xiaosu went behind the mountains. Yan Xiaosu was holding onto a beer. Nothing had changed over the past few years except that the scenery had gotten better. It had become a haven for lovebirds. Wang Zheng and Yan Xiaosu found an inconspicuous place to sit down, each with a drink in hand.
"Xiaosu, I'm making a trip to Aslan before going back to Tita and starting afresh from Tita," Wang Zheng said.
"Boss, we were waiting for you to say that. We've fallen in love with Tita these few years. My family has moved there. Actually, the one who should be there is you. The Titans have given us too much, We should do our part if we can," Yan Xiaosu said.
Wang Zheng smiled, downing his beer. He suddenly craved the calmness and rowdiness found on Tita. The nature, calm and busting. In fact, that was proof that humans had gone too far. Any cultivation was the same with the original people being unexpectedly backwards but with a strong vitality.
"The Principal has decided to set up a branch of Ares College there. I plan to continue improving my breathing technique there," Wang Zheng said. The giants of Tita weren't adverse to the idea of the breathing technique, gleaning from Mu Zhen. The Tita giants would become stronger if they could comprehend it. The war had not spread to Tita, but peace could be established with a strong defense.
"Boss, you realized it late. The Principal has been planning it for quite some time and has obtained approval. She's just informing you. The Titans have money and their energy mine is unique. They've done a good job on their hardware in recent years, but they do need support for their software."
"Will we be able to attract talents in Tita?
"Boss, you are belittling your own harem!" Yan Xiaosu smiled awkwardly.
"Whose harem!?"
"Haha, Lan Ling misses you like crazy. I heard that the Lan family are like ants on a hot pan. She wasn't satisfied with any of the candidates. Tita doesn't have a one man one wife restriction, you can just marry her," Yan Xiaosu beamed.
"You monkey, do you think I won't throw you into the lake?"
Chapter 1348: Big Brother, Bring Me Along!
"Forget it, one legend of you jumping into the lake is enough. Haha, Tita as a healing sanctuary wasn't a joke. It's filled with vitality and super-gravity energy ore. Many scientists are willing to come. We'll give the best treatment to them even if it's only for the short term," Yan Xiaosu said proudly. Research on the super-gravity energy ore was open to all. This method was good. Secondly, Mu Sen attached great importance to attracting talents. Tita was sparsely populated and had ample space for development, something that was recognized internationally.
"It would just be a challenge attracting the best talents. You know that they lack nothing." Yan Xiaosu shrugged.
"Old Merchant's there. It will be different once this news is out."
"What about safety?" Even Yan Xiaosu, someone who wasn't fond of studying, knew Alan Tucker.
Wang Zheng smiled lightly. "It won't be a secret for long, and escaping it is no solution. I don't want Old Merchant to keep hiding. We have to become stronger!"
They could only make the enemies think twice about harming them when they were strong enough. They couldn't avoid it forever, nor could they keep something up forever.
They were drunk. Yan Xiaosu let himself loose and his voice became loud. It was rare for the two brothers to drink and enjoy themselves in their alma mater.
Of course, there wasn't only them here. One of them was a super warrior, while the other was a financial big shot. Here, however, they were just two boys fooling and dancing around after some beer.
Wang Zheng patted Yan Xiaosu. Yan Xiaosu was startled. He wasn't done yet… Eh… Fu*k, why were there so many people, and do they seem to have green eyes…
"That looks like Executive Director Yan."
"Yes, he really looks like him. It shouldn't be make up, and that person beside him looks so familiar!"
"Could it really be that person? I heard he was sent to the Saint for some mission. Why is he here?"
"He does look like the person on television. Perhaps you can go and ask?"
"Why don't you go? What if we get killed by his Greatest King aura!"
"Idiots, we are his juniors!"
The crowd was whispering, but the crowd quickly gathered. Wang Zheng's name was too big, probably even more famous than those of pop stars.
"I have to get his signature if he really is Wang Zheng!"
"Idiot, it's so rare to see the real person. We have to get something off him, even a piece of cloth torn from him will be my heirloom!"
Wang Zheng's ears were obviously better than Yan Xiaosu's. These people were ridiculous.
A bold, young girl stepped forward when the crowd was still undecided. "Are you Senior Wang Zheng?"
Girls were usually bolder during these times. Wang Zheng was relatively friendly, but the years of battles and experience gave him a stern air about him. The girl was from international law, and was also the head of the school debate team. She was usually eloquent, but even she lost her words when faced with Wang Zheng. A glance from Wang Zheng made Luo Jinxi's heart thump like crazy. She couldn't help but bow her head.
"I'm Wang Zheng, what can I help you with?" Wang Zheng smiled.
Luo Jinxi's eyes widened in excitement. It was impossible to imagine the Goddess of the Ares College was the same as the excitable shy girl now. "S-senior, can you give me a signature of yours? You are my idol, I enrolled into the Ares College because of you!"
"Sure, no problem. I hope you like it here," Wang Zheng said. It was obvious that the girl in front of him wasn't someone from the Solar System. The students enrolling into the college because of Wang Zheng grew and spread from solely from the Solar System previously to the entire galaxy. There was no lack of young people chasing their idols. The world was exciting because there were dreams.
"Me too, Senior!"
"Me too!"
"Me too…"
More people joined in. This was the first time they saw the person himself. Wang Zheng, the miracle of this school!
Things got out of hand in an instant. Wang Zheng had to give his signature one by one. The whole Ares College went mad. Many people were still in class at this time, but they screamed and dashed out like madmen when they gazed out of the window.
…Earthquake? No, there wasn't?
An air raid? The Solar System was safe.
The professors couldn't help but frown. What was happening? Class hadn't ended. What was this? What was happening…
All of a sudden, the students in the first few rows flew out… without telling him.
Next, many people opened their Skylinks and dashed out all the same.
What? What was happening?
Those left finally found out. Wang Zheng was here!
In a matter of minutes, the classroom emptied out.
In addition to the main campus, students from the surrounding campuses poured in. The scale and momentum was indeed scary.
It looked like a huge demonstration. Many had come to Ares College because of Wang Zheng. Their emotions had followed Wang Zheng throughout his journey.
Not only that. In this age of information, Wang Zheng's appearance traveled to the neighboring schools in an instant. The Wang Zheng of now was no longer the Wang Zheng in IG. He was now the new star of the Milky Way Alliance. He represented the glory of the Solar System, the dreams of youths. The love story between Aina and him was like a fairytale, making many girls fall for him.
No other idols could come close.
Xiao Fei was alerted. She had expected something to happen, but not to this scale. The student council was usually effective, but it had gotten out of hand. Even she herself probably couldn't do much if she were to appear there.
The people in front were fortunate. The rest at the back couldn't do anything but shout Wang Zheng's name. Some climbed onto trees or anywhere that could give them a glimpse. Their shouts got louder.
Wang Zheng himself never thought things would turn out this way. He finally had a taste of the advantage being in his home country. He was on foreign ground when he was in Elite Academy X or in Aslan. This was his home country. He never knew how passionate the people in his home country were until now. Wang Zheng's journey had shaken the world, and he had achieved everything he wanted to do, step by step. This was a true legend. Even Wang Zheng himself felt his blood boiling in passion. This was the will of the group.
Wang Zheng levitated slowly, He had to respond to the cheers of the students.
This was the first time many students had seen someone freed from the rules of gravity. The cheers only got louder.
This wasn't even Ability X, but a kind of physical technique. Rumor had it that there was only a handful of people who could do it in the Milky Way Alliance, and Wang Zheng was no doubt the youngest and strongest of them all.
That strong force was on show at this moment. Some were very far, but everyone would feel Wang Zheng right beside them. Some could even touch him if they extended their hands.
"Welcome to Ares College, everyone. I'm Wang Zheng."
Cheers sounded when Wang Zheng finished his sentence. The students waved.
"Senior, how can we become as strong as you?"
"You don't need to be like me. Everyone is their own hero, You are at the stage of life where you are the strongest. Do what you want. Don't live with any regrets. I hope that everyone can bring the spirit of Ares College to every corner of the galaxy with me!"
Wang Zheng opened his arms. What enveloped him were cheers that went on for a long time, until a broadcast from the school sounded in the skies.
"Wang Zheng, Principal Xiao Fei invites you to head to the principal's office immediately. All students are to keep order and return to their respective classrooms to their own lessons."
No one cared.
Wang Zheng smiled. "You heard the principal. I have to report to Principal Xiao Fei."
He bowed. Everyone couldn't help but smile. Wang Zheng and Xiao Fei were the reasons they had enrolled in Ares College. Wang Zheng had the image of invincibility. They never expected him to have such a humorous side, cute even. Some girls couldn't help but scream.
Wang Zheng disappeared in the air. Xiao Fei was too timely. He really didn't know what to do with so many passionate students.
…He seemed to have forgotten something…
The poor Yan Xiaosu's eyes lingered on where Wang Zheng disappeared. Big Brother, what about me? Couldn't you have brought me along?
Chapter 1349: Aina's Second Runaway From Home!
Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
The emotions of the Aslan Empire were running high. The huge coalition force was on its way towards the Arbiter Republic, and had been through many minor confrontations. Most of which ended with the victory of the coalition forces. The Mayans were really active this time. Their unique energy control played a considerable role in dealing a huge blow to Arbiter's advance forces. The commander-in-chief was Mac Luton, a famous warrior of Aslan. He had fought many wars and was a jinx to the pirates.
The enemy was the Arbiters. Commander-in-Chief Mac Luton devised strategies carefully to defeat them. He didn't think they were weak so that they had to maximize the strength of the coalition forces to the maximum and take care not to give the Arbiters any chance to flip around. This was the advantage of being in the masses. Many people wanted a slice of the Arbiter pie.
The war might have started, but they were far from the Aslan Empire. Aslan and their affiliated federations provided continuous financial support for this war. Powerful arsenals were constantly being supplied as well. Intensity was accumulating in the Aslan Empire, and they needed to release this power.
They were ready for a protracted war, especially since they had controlled the Heaven's Arrow Federation and the Thunder Alliance effectively. The Arbiter Republic's strategy was well thought out. They believed that the Arbiter Republic could never last longer than the Aslan Empire. The human will was limited. As long as they defeated the fleet several times, they were sure that internal strife between themselves would happen. The Arbiter Republic would collapse completely. It would be the best way to obtain victory with minimal casualties.
Some forces couldn't be felt during peacetime, but once war erupted, the accumulation of technology and talents would be shown completely.
The whole of Aslan used to be a sword in a scabbard. It was powerful, but after a long while, people might just be confused with the gorgeous surface. They would only feel its murderous intent when it was unsheathed.
Aina didn't appear in this chaos. She was "recuperating". Kashawen substituted her when there was a need for it. Of course, it won't be too exaggerated, but the princess's opinion was a must, regardless of whether she was willing or not.
Aina calmed down during this period. Her whole person relaxed. The burden and determination she had carried with her all this while was gone. She missed Wang Zheng dearly. She didn't want to suspect herself, nor did she want to be cruel to her family. She didn't care whether Wang Zheng was the successor of the Oracle or not, or if he was a threat to Aslan. She understood Wang Zheng better than she understood Kashawen. She knew Wang Zheng was the same as Kashawen. They both had strong determination, with strong bottom lines. They might get obsessed, but Wang Zheng would definitely not do this.
Fortunately, Wang Zheng had escaped the Oracle Star. She would really have fallen apart if Wang Zheng had died in the hands of her grandpa on the Oracle Star because of her. She even felt remorseful towards Wang Zheng, who had to sacrifice so much for her because she was a princess. Yet, he had never once grumbled. Wang Zheng's every battle was reflected in her eyes.
What had she done other than watching him? Wang Zheng had given his all, but had she given her all?
The her that had always been bound by the title of the royal family. What was it she cared about?
Was the title of Princess so important?
Perhaps previously it was for the glory of the Aslan Empire. What about now?
This title was useless to her now.
Aina gazed outside and had a sudden urge to run away from home again. She wanted to leave this place and search for Wang Zheng!
Kashawen was indeed as busy as a bee now. The situation was in her favor, but she had always been cautious. She would never relax until she obtained victory. Not only did she need to win, she also needed to control the situation. The Milky Way Alliance must not fall into disarray. It wouldn't be good for Aslan if that were to happen. Aslan wasn't here to disrupt the peace, they were just seizing the opportunity to do away with all the strong opponents. Once the Arbiter Republic fell, the Aslan Empire would be able to lead the world for the next 50 years. That was Kashawen's plan. She had never had the naive thought that she could conquer everything.
She didn't put much focus on Aina in such a situation. She knew Aina was too clever and too soft. She wouldn't be able to do something that would put Aslan in a bad light. She hoped that Aina could awaken to her true destiny and grow up. Her naive days should be over.
Aina disappeared at this moment!
Lacus was in front of the boiling Kashawen. "Lacus, where did the Princess go? Do you know what you are doing?!"
Lacus lowered her head. "Prime Minister, I really don't know where the Princess went. You can interrogate me with the ability users."
Lacus had helped Aina escape from her prison. She didn't know and didn't want to know where Aina had gone. As Aina's secretary and a person who understood the Princess, she knew what she had to do. The person whose orders she had to obey was Aina, not Kashawen.
"You should know that we're at war with Arbiter. What would happen if Aina were to fall into the hands of the Arbiters!" Kashawen suppressed her temper. "Mitchell, take her away, and let the royal guards…
"Wait… find out Aina's route. The rest has to be done secretly. You must not attract the attention of the outside world!" Kashawen was very worried. Too big a move would attract the attention of Arbiter. They might be on high alert, but Arbiter's spies were not to be underestimated.
Mitchell nodded. She understood the severity of the issue. "Do you think we should get the substitute to come out?"
Kashawen shook her head. "That would be too much. Aina's recuperating to the public. It's enough for her to show her face at times. This has to be done secretly. You'll be fully in charge!"
"Yes, Prime Minister!"
Mitchell might have agreed readily, but this was a big headache to her as well. She knew she wouldn't be able to get much from Lacus, but she did have a rough idea where the Princess would be heading. She had to find the Princess before Wang Zheng.
Mitchell was right. Aina had abandoned everything. She had heard that Wang Zheng was on Earth. It was no secret that Wang Zheng and his gang had escaped from the Oracle Star. Everyone now knew that the Saint was the mastermind. They were not important.
Aina was all prepped up in disguise. Usually, a disguise would entail the person to look older or change their gender, but not Aina's. She had disguised herself as an Atlantean. Most importantly, she was able to mimic the special aura of the Atlanteans. She also had a very strong spiritual power. Her time in the Atlantis Temple had given her a very strong power, though she couldn't use it as the Princess of Aslan. Aslan would be facing destruction if they needed her to fight.
Her identity as an Atlantean had been made by Hao Lin. She added a bit of confusion when she was passing through customs and slipped through without any problems.
Aina wasn't a Princess who bound herself to the rules. Lin Huiyin was. Huiyin didn't dare to resist, but Aina did. She was going to Wang Zhengs side now. She would stay by his side forever, as long as he didn't mind that she had nothing left!
Wang Zheng was on the space shuttle to Aslan when Aina stepped on the space shuttle to Earth. Wang Zheng had disguised himself as a middle-aged tyrant. His identity was still very sensitive but was easily changed with the help of Xiao Fei. There would be no problems before stepping into Aslan's territory. It would depend on Wang Zheng to pass customs once he was in Aslan.
Chapter 1350: I Picked You Up Again
Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
Wang Zheng never dreamt that he would be hijacked by a group of unknown pirates when he wasn't being chased by the Saint and Aslan.
It was at the border near the Aslan Empire. It was a sensitive time, so Yan Xiaosu thought it would be better to go through the underground. He had found a group sneaking into Aslan, and as a result…
The group was hijacked by pirates. The pirates of old would definitely not appear near Aslan, but it was different now. They weren't doing this in the open. Their targets were people like these, trying to sneak into Aslan. It was said that many wealthy people were fleeing to Aslan to seek refuge. It was a great opportunity for the pirates to strike.
The Las Vegas Mad Mob Pirate Group wasn't small. Their leader, Wild Fox Las Vegas, was also famous for being sly. He was said to be very accurate in his readings of situations. Only he had the courage to appear near the Aslan Empire.
There might be marshall law going on, but Las Vegas knew that the attention of the Aslan Empire wasn't going to drift their way as long as they didn't enter Aslan. This was the best time to fish for the fat and rich prey. They could also grow the reputation of the Las Vegas Mad Mob Pirate Group at the same time, which was important for the expansion of a pirate group. He was a clever leader.
This was the third time they had struck. Las Vegas was right about the type of prey. The patrol vessels of Aslan also just attacked symbolically. The key was that Las Vegas knew whom to target — those sneaking in.
"Boss, we found a huge fish. The group sneaking out of Aslan has an Atlantis beauty amongst them. Would you like me to send her over to you?" a pirate said excitedly.
Las Vegas' eyes became serious and he frowned slightly. He was nicknamed Fox because he was smart. Why would an Atlantean appear here?
"Keep her with the fat sheep. Set the fleet off at full speed!" Las Vegas didn't want to stay so close to the battlefield. They could count their spoils gleefully when they reached somewhere safe.
"Aye, Sir!" The pirates were excited. A troubled state of the world was their heaven. They thought they would have to give up on being pirates now that the Milky Way Alliance had become stronger. All of a sudden, the two strong pillars of peace started fighting amongst themselves. That was simply music to their ears. Every pirate rejoiced.
Wang Zheng was having a huge headache. Why had he listened to Yan Xiaosu to disguise himself as a Tyrant? He was now captive.
Wang Zheng didn't understand what was happening outside. He was considering his moves. Should he just bear with it if the pirates were only after wealth? Aslan would be alerted if he showed his moves. What bad luck to be caught near here.
There was a ready-made prison cell on the ship. Wang Zheng was kept there with some seemingly rich people. The pirates were probably waiting to talk to them. They would probably ask their families for ransom if their backgrounds were special.
They were scared sh*tless. Some of them started rawling uncontrollably. In this age and time, where war was far away, pirates were the most frightening of all. It was better to die than to be in the hands of such people.
Wang Zheng concluded that these people would probably be bringing him back to their old nest. That wouldn't do. Wang Zheng didn't have any interest in them now. It seemed like he had no choice but to fight.
He would have to see how to get to Aslan afterwards. He had to find a way to get to Monta Ellis no matter what. He would be able to mask himself there. It wouldn't be easy for others to find him.
The door opened just as Wang Zheng was figuring out if he should break through the door. "Stop drooling. This is the boss'. Touch and he'll cut away your weeny. Look carefully. This one will be interrogated personally by the Boss."
"My God, this is the first time I've seen a woman from Atlantis. Boss is so fortunate." The pirates outside laughed lewdly.
The girl who came in seemed to be enduring it with all her might. She wouldn't stand on ceremony if they really did something to her. What bad luck, meeting pirates when she had just escaped from As…
Aina suddenly stopped. Wang Zheng was paralyzed as well. What…
They had some doubts in their eyes because their auras were right, but their appearances… Wang Zheng and Aina weren't normal people. Aina's eyes burnt with passion in no time and buried herself in Wang Zheng's arms.
The whole cabin turned dead silent. What… the f*ck was going on?
An Atlantean girl had thrown herself into the arms of a fat, middle-aged man…
"Sh*t, fatty, how dare you touch our boss's woman. Do you want to die? Brothers, teach him a lesson. Fu*ker!" That pirate was just sprouting vulgarities before his body flew up and landed on the floor of the cabin.
Wang Zheng felt like he had the whole world as he hugged Aina. What could feel better than this?
"Xiao Shi, I picked you up again. You won't run this time, eh?" Wang Zheng said.
"I really have no home to return to this time. You'll have to take responsibility for me if you want to keep me," Aina said teasingly, even though her heart had already melted.
"I let you go once because I was considerate. You are my woman from now on!" Wang Zheng said as he patted his chest.
"I'm still a girl!" Aina protested playfully.
"Haha, let me chase these troublesome people away!"
The pirates outside of the cabins rushed over with their laser guns. They obviously didn't think that someone would dare to do something like this on their turf.
"Let me!" Aina smiled just when Wang Zheng was about to attack.
A spiritual ripple was blasted out. The pirates hit each other with their weapons and dropped onto the floor.
Mind control!
Aina's spiritual power was so powerful that she could control people directly. It was easy to knock people out unconscious and very difficult to control their actions like that. Aina had done it effortlessly.
It was easier to deal with them with Wang Zheng's power. The pirate ship was cleared in no time and the captives cheered. They were finally saved! The cheers didn't last very long though. They could see other pirate ships surrounding them through the command room.
Las Vegas hammered the podium. Damn it, who was it to spoil his fun!
"Kill! Take care not to kill those rich prey!"
One hundred or so mobile warriors flew over to the ship where Wang Zheng was.
Chapter 1351: Wang Zheng and Aina's Life Plan

Wang Zheng had studied space warfare in Elite Academy X before the SIG competition. However, it was the first time he had put it to practice, so he wasn't really satisfied with it. He could only say that the pirates of today were still fortunate to be using mecha of this level.
Wang Zheng took less than half an hour to finish the battle, leaving everyone wide-eyed. The group of pirates retreated just when Wang Zheng was about to destroy them all. They were great at fleeing.
The battle had given them ample time to retreat. Las Vegas was a learned man. He knew this warrior wasn't someone he could manage. This wasn't the first time something like this happened within the pirate circle. He could afford to offend neither A-rank warriors, nor Earth-rank warriors. Moreover, paying a heavy price for this gave him no merit.
Wang Zheng didn't give chase, because he was worried about Aina. He was warmly welcomed back on the ship. Wang Zheng and Aina gave the control of the ship back to the original captain. Both of them headed towards their destination on a small lifeboat.
Aina sat in Wang Zheng's arms. The space was a little wanting, but they felt very safe and content. Of course, that was because Wang Zheng took out the pillows stuffed as his stomach. Much skill was required to pose as a rich, middle-aged man.
The space shuttle sped through. They came in contact with Mu Sen. Tita would send someone to bring them over. The whole process was a secret. Aslan might be able to intercept the communications, or they might not. That didn't matter anyway. He was going to lead a life that both Aina and him wanted. A life that belonged to themselves.
The space outside was calm. That colorful light was an illusion from a human perspective. The senses of different living forces sensed different things. The technology and knowledge by humans were no doubt great. Wang Zheng had an interest and understanding of space since he was brought up by Old Merchant. Only, all his attention was focused on the girl in his arms.
They never had the luxury of having alone time ever since they first met. No one was there to disturb them now. They only had one another, peering deep into each other's eyes. They had thrown away everything else.
Aina's lashes were very long and pretty. Real beauties didn't need make up. Her skin was crystal clear, a gift from heaven. He didn't see her enchanting eyes, but he could imagine them. Wang Zheng was fulfilled at this moment, caressing her soft hair. He had been doing his best ever since he entered Ares College, especially during dangerous battles. These experiences made him live his life the way he was living it now. However, all he wanted to do now was enjoy the life of a normal youngster with Aina. Not as the Greatest King, not as the Princess of the Aslan Empire, just simply Wang Zheng and Aina.
They hadn't had so much peace in some time. Wang Zheng himself relaxed. It seemed as though time and space no longer existed when he stayed this way.
The most beautiful princess in the world was in his arms. He was truly content now. Aina seemed to have dreamt of something scary. Her body trembled as she bit her lips. Wang Zheng hugged her tightly and kissed those alluring lips.
Soft, supple, and sweet. His hands started roaming around playfully. Aina finally woke up with her face reddened.
Wang Zheng didn't stop. Instead, he was now more focused and went even deeper. His powerful arms seemed to desire to melt Aina into his body. He only let her off when she was really breathless. Her tender, red lips were slightly swollen.
"Isn't my unique way of waking you up awesome?" Someone's skin had become thicker over the past few years. Of course, he blamed it directly on Yan Xiaosu and Zhang Shan.
"Who did you learn it from? You're really an expert now, eh?" Aina teased playful.
"Men are self-taught creatures!" Wang Zheng said without changing his tone. "My potential is high, let's explore deeper into life."
You could almost see steam coming out of Aina's face. She knew what was coming. A little nervous, but a little anticipation. She never thought this would happen in space…
"You just thought of something lewd, didn't you? I was referring to our residence in Tita. I would like to stay in the original village of the Tita people." Wang Zheng smiled. It was a joy to play with Her Highness the Princess.
Aina didn't yield. Her little fist bumped Wang Zheng. It was a form of enjoyment to something though.
Aina laid in Wang Zheng's chest and happily said, "I'll follow you wherever you want to go."
"How many babies should we have? One can become a scientist, one a general, what about a governor…" Wang Zheng said.
Aina was a little afraid. "How about two? My figure might go if we have too many."
Wang Zheng roared with laughter. Xiao Shi was too cute, believing everything he said.
Surrounding them was the eternally lonely universe, but it was spring in the small cabin. A cry of surprise and someone's hand was traveling down a familiar route. Wang Zheng would have pushed Her Highness the Princess down and had her right there and there if the location wasn't wrong. How could something so sacred be done so sloppily?
Kashawen looked at the video sent over quietly. Wang Zheng's battle scene and their departure were on it. There was little Aslan could not do if they really put their mind to it.
"Your Excellency, should we…" The big battle was ahead, but it would still be easy to do away with a small Tita.
"No need. Let her lead the life of an ordinary person for a while." Kashawen sighed. "Let Lacus out and continue to play her role."
"Yes, Your Excellency."
Kashawen knew Aina's personality. She had made up her mind. It wouldn't help the situation even if they forced her back. Wang Zheng wasn't easy to deal with either. He could even escape the impenetrable trap of the Oracle Star. She had really underestimated this young man. Her father wanted to get the Oracle at all costs, but Kashawen didn't believe in an undying power. Wang Zheng would no longer be important once they defeated the Arbiter Republic. A small Tita wouldn't be able to do anything. Times were different now. Even the powerful Saint could only hide in the shadows.
"Mitchell, do you have news from Lin Feng?"
"Your Excellency, Major General Lin Feng has led the ninth battalion through three battles, all were victories. The generals are quite satisfied."
Lin Feng's performance in this war was important as well. He might have performed in SIG, but he hadn't obtained the championship after all. That had an impact, which was why he had to showcase his abilities to be able to climb up to the ruling class in the future.
The ninth battalion was the ace of the Aslan Empire's air force, and Lin Feng had been leading the mecha unit. It could be said that he had been given the best resources and support. The rest was up to him.
Chapter 1352: Ice and Fire Second Level Heaven

The effects of the war were not as great as people had expected. At least it had not affected the lives of everyone just yet, even though this was a war that could change the Milky Way Alliance and the entire destiny of the human race.
However, as long as they were not in the center of the eddy, the ordinary people continued to live their ordinary lives, except with a little more anxiety. Could the war between two powerful empires ignite the war for the entirety of mankind? History had recorded countless lessons. But mankind had continuously challenged the scars of this history. There had never been any exception.
The war had brought gains for Titatitan Star since they were far away from the eddy of the war and the demand for super gravity energy mines had increased. The KO Group's new route suddenly received enthusiastic support. After all, a stable route during war time was, without a doubt, priceless.
Recently, there had been an increase in the influx of immigrants to Tita. Nature provided a naturally safe environment. Once upon a time, the super conductive mines of the entire planet had prevented them from developing any energy engineering, but they had now become a natural protection shield. The shots of the most lethal orbit main laser cannons of the battleships, when fired from space at Titatitan Star, would have become harmless fireworks before they even could even break through the atmosphere. This was the most frightening fact about wars. Most people were worried about the indiscriminate firing range of the Zeus or other even more powerful battleships. But it was useless here.
As for planetary-level destruction weapons…
No one or country had yet dared to be the first to use such annihilating weapons. Any use of such weapons was a declaration of war against mankind, and even the entire civilized galaxy.
Tita's Giant Legion was not an issue. The combat literacy of the Giant Legion had been strengthened in the past few years. Not only could they be engaged in battles on Tita Star, they could battle on other planets too. At the same time, they could extract from the Saruman Snake Legion too. These were the core battle powers of the Tita Legions.
Rara Durai had gradually displayed his talents as a general, or perhaps this could be the natural talent of the Tita giants. They need not need to learn much; all they needed was to be in the position and their natural talent would blossom. This was like an endorsement from the mother of life. When a wise one was needed, one would be born to the tribe; if a warrior leader was needed, someone would be gifted with all the qualities of the warrior leader.
However, this was not nearly enough for Elder Mu Sen. The Titans needed to adapt to modern warfare, to be able to protect Tita and to step up. This would then serve as a deterrence to the enemies.
The Lan family's academy was far from being sufficient. As such, when Xiao Fei and Ye Zisu suggested establishing an Ares Academy on Tita Star, it resonated immediately with Mu Sen. This could provide better education for both the giants and the wise ones. The Titans had to look towards the future!
Besides, the happiest thing that had happened lately was that Wang Zheng had decided to go to Tita. This was like a second home to him and the most suitable place for Wang Zheng too.
Tita parliament…
Humans and the Wise Ones were discussing political matters, big and small, construction, conflicts, and foreign trades. With the opening of the routes, Titatitan Star had completed its transformation from a single mining industry to a multi-economy planet. Of course, its power was still weak. However, the foundation had been laid. As such, countless matters from all aspects had also increased.
Mu Sen and Lan Ling were arguing. The main topic was the expansion and construction of Lan Kao City, or building an entirely new city out of the wilderness.
Although the two were allies, they did not necessarily see eye to eye in all matters. They each had their own interests to protect. Of course, the competition had always been internal and benign. If rationales were not discussed, it would never be clear. Likewise, if there was no competition for benefits, there would be no increment.
These sorts of arguments were commonplace too. They had never allowed professional differences affect their personal relationships. As such, the arguments between Lan Ling and Mu Sen had become a scene. A beauty and a little old man, it was indeed interesting.
Rara Durai was present at the meeting today. As a Titan, he could miss most parliamentary meetings. However, when there was an important resolution like today, as a Titan, Rara Durai had to be present. As long as he had not voted on the issue, even if the majority of the parliament had voted for it, changes and improvements would still be required before the plan could be officially passed and executed.
This was the power of a Titan.
Calluses were beginning to form in Rara Durai's ears. They were fighting among themselves. Rara Durai was thinking of something else. His busy schedules these days had indeed caused him many problems and, most crucially, he was not happy. He missed those days when Ada was here. Back then, although he was not a Titan, every day was exciting. But now, something seemed to be missing. Recently, there was news that Ada would be returning to live in Tita. Hence, Rara Durai had been in an inexplicably excited mood. Otherwise, he would have been asleep already in such meetings.
Even with Lin Feng's personality, he could not suppress his excitement after joining the war. Perhaps it was his status – he was top notch. Thus, normal warfare could not draw his excitement. However, such wars were different; they would go down in history for the next decades or even centuries. Some pursued enjoyment, pursued beauty. But Lin Feng pursued eternal glory, like the famous kings of history.
The coalition fleet, with Aslan leading the main force, broke into the starfield of the Arbiter Republic with raging momentum. It was not because the Arbiter fleets were weak, but rather the coalition fleet organised by Aslan was too strong. With the enthusiasm of the Mayans as the vanguards, the Mayans had completely disrupted the Arbiter fleets' defences with their unique understanding of energy attacks. The coalition followed up with multi-level and multi-directional attacks, instantly defeating the chaotic peripheral defences of the Arbiter Republic.
Time and again it had been proven that tactics need not be new as long as they were useful. The coordination between the Mayans and Aslan was a completely invincible and unbreakable momentum. If the Mayans were being targeted, Aslan would become the vanguard; the results were similar.
Especially at the national gates, although Zam Star and Forest Star could not be considered invincible, Arbiter had always put a lot of thoughts into the fortification here. Yet internal riots had broken out when the coalition forces came bearing down on the borders. Obviously, everyone was fooled by the steely determination of the Arbiter Republic. The internal composition of Arbiter was not as strong as steel. It was natural for the expansion of an empire to be accompanied by the amalgamation of many nationalities. When external forces provided sufficient pressure, rifts would begin to appear internally. The battles of the national gates had adequately revealed this. The coalition's momentum was even more ferocious.
Of course, Aslan had long prepared for their war against Arbiter. The infiltration of Arbiter had sent chills to the coalition of the various countries. Fortunately, they were allies with Aslan. In terms of intelligence systems, the Aslan Empire was also the best in the Milky Way Alliance.
The most outstanding performance in the battle of Zam Star and Forest Star would definitely be the Mayans' vanguard fleet and Aslan's Number Nine fleet led by Lin Feng, whose direct attacks resulted in the effortless attacks of the follow-up fleets. It contributed to the eventual internal collapse of the Arbiter Republic. This had caused some overly cautious generals to feel that they had been a little too fearful of Arbiter. The coalition forces were too powerful.
As a result, the entire Arbiter Republic's federation planets were completely exposed to the range of attacks from the coalition forces of the Milky Way Alliance. What should have been a harsh battle ended with ease.
