Chapter 396: Moonlight Rising
Translator: Abyssruler Editor: Lucas
"Wang Zheng, look at that punk, he's pretty optimistic, eh? I wonder if they can get past Morgan Locke. What do you think, Nan… Runan?"
Zhang Shan said. Ever since Zhang Runan's appearance had stabilized, everybody had felt a little off. They were still not used to Zhang Runan's sudden change in appearance.
Zhang Runan felt that she was especially unbecoming as well, but her ability X had risen. After she transformed, she would return to her current state. Faced with a beauty though, the usually prattling Zhang Shan was a little thrown off.
"Actually, the Caragal Republic has been improving very rapidly in recent years. Runan could hold her own in a military beauty contest over there now." Even Achilles could not resist jibing.
"Eyes on the match!" Zhang Runan suddenly turned on them. In comparison, Meng Tian was the cooler-headed of the two. Although they did not speak much, they connected well.
The following battles had surprising results. Between Caragal and Morgan Locke, Morgan Locke stood above them in terms of past results, their ranking about 30 places higher. But under Caragal's leadership, they had destroyed Morgan Locke in a frenzied 4-0.
The Caragal Republic always prayed before their battles, thanking God for giving them life, sustenance, and strength in battle.
Systematic, solid, all-rounded, united. That was the current Caragal Republic team. Under Max's leadership, the Caragal Republic team had entered the top 16 for the first time in history.
The arena was filled with cheers from Caragal's team and their representative group. On the other side, Morgan Locke was dispirited and helpless. There were no deaths in this battle, only three light injuries, which spoke of the Caragal team's control of the battle.
The Caragal Republic, which had always been treated lightly, had blossomed in this iteration of IG.
Amongst them, Max's performance was laudable. Morgan Locke's captain, Bo Yikao, had planned to turn their disadvantageous situation with the leader face-off in round 2, but had been defeated by Max. This had severely affected the Morgan Locke team's morale, and they had crumbled. The leader fight was a double-edged sword, especially towards internal morale. Win, and your team was filled with spirit. Lose, and it seemed hopeless. Bo Yikao would never dream that he would be beaten by some nameless punk.
The victorious Caragal team saluted the entire field. Their conduct was humble. They neither strutted in victory nor wallowed in defeat. They maintained an even attitude. Such a team spoke of greatness in their country.
The best was yet to come. Manalasuo's team against the Solar System Federation's team.
Max and his team did not celebrate excessively After celebrating briefly, they returned to the spectator platform. They were more than in the mood to enjoy the upcoming battle. Although they had no stake in the battle, they felt a certain kinship with the Solar System Federation team, and were eager to demonstrate solidarity.
The IG was not given to pomp and fanfare. After the judges had finished reading out the competing team members from the display, the competition began.
Both team captains opted to field their fighter first.
At that moment, the great hall quietened. Manalasuo's representative members were especially serene. To them, this was just a normal match, and there was no need to make a fuss out of it. To the Solar System Federation team, however, they were starting to get nervous. This was their first time facing such a formidable opponent.
Wang Zheng's gaze scanned through everyone. The Solar System team did not have as positive a team atmosphere as Caragal, but sometimes a little dissent meant something else – that there were strong, independent minds.
The level of competition here was naturally different. The first battle was no trifling matter. "First battle, Achilles. It's time to show the Milky Way Alliance the Solar System's strength."
Wang Zheng smiled. Achilles stood up and nodded. "I've waited a long time for this. Finally I can get into action."
Regardless of whether it was the last battle, everybody could go all out and prove themselves.
Achilles stepped up. On the other side, Vincent looked at Gelun. "It isn't the pretty girl, but it's a pretty boy instead. Go take care of him."
Gelun stood up, indifferent. "We aren't picky eaters, I'll destroy them all regardless of gender!"
Gelun, Manalasuo's point fighter, sized Achilles up, and directly chose Manalasuo's heavy humanoid type mech, Electric Deathlock. Manalasuo had made their name through creating the weird. Amongst all of the mecha produced by their country, the weirdest would undoubtedly be the Golden Wheel mech. Of course, that was a failed product, while the Electric Deathlock was a success. Besides a tank-mech level energy shield defense, it came equipped with an electrified kusarigama: hooked scythes on a chain which had an attacking range of about 20 meters. The chains could be lengthened or shortened at will. In a group fight, it was nigh unbeatable – capable of both defense and offense. The edge of soft weapons and the weird trajectory of attack gave him an inhuman feel.
Similarly, the Electric Deathlock was a mech that was onerous to master, but in the ace team of Manalasuo, they were definitely equipped to handle it.
In an era where the main fighting force was equipped with ace mecha, the sheer quantity of mecha was no longer the prime determiner of victory. Instead, the emphasis had turned to quality.
In such a practice arena match, it was almost hopeless to go up against the Electric Deathlock.
The crowd turned towards the Solar System team's pretty boy. Finally there was someone even paler than Wang Zheng. Achilles' expression was serene, but everybody knew that he must have been consciously acting that way.
The Electric Deathlock had no obvious weakness. Perhaps in a more complicated terrain there might be a way to counter it, but in such a place…
However, Achilles did not hesitate for very long, readily selecting the mech he needed, the Moon's Moonlit Sage Rider V. This was a balanced fighter mech, not regarded as a specialty mech. Its capabilities were very good, and the excellent teams in the Moon army were outfitted with it. Retractable titanium guns and small, round shields on each shoulder gave it defensive traits. Balance in all things was the strong point of those from the Moon, but could the Moonlight Sage Rider defeat the Electric Deathlock?
Both of them entered their cockpits and started up the mecha. Harmonization… Linking up… 10 percent… 50 percent… 100 percent…
Both mecha's eyes lit up. At this time the audience was quickly filling up. Only the various country representatives and official personnel, or the Aslan hosts could enter. They were here for only one purpose – to confirm the Manalasuo team's abilities for themselves. The top 32 was the warmup for all the strongest teams. The top 16 would see a huge ramp up in battle intensity, and an understanding of the opponent's situation was necessary.
Gelun also needed to warm up during this match, to elevate himself to a higher state than his current one. In the next round, he might very well face an opponent of similar caliber, and all the experienced teams would be making similar preparations. Otherwise, a second lieutenant like Gelun would not need to make an appearance against a team like the Solar System Federation.
Rumble… Rumble…
The two mecha appeared on the arena. Zhang Shan surged to his feet, howling. Everybody turned to look at him, because he was the only one…
The Manalasuo representatives took one look at his crazed expression and dismissed him as a maniac. Meng Ao felt a little embarrassed as well. This brat was really too excitable.
But Zhang Shan did not care. Life was as brief as a burning candle, and one should not overthink it.
After the Moonlight Sage Rider appeared, it did not rush to prepare any moves. It stood with arms extended, the titanium guns ready. They had been laxer in the earlier rounds. If they wanted to go far, they had to control their own state of mind and body. Showing their hand too early was meaningless. Yet, at this juncture, the Solar System team needed some morale and to put pressure on their opponents. This was Wang Zheng's intent in letting Achilles take the field.
In this iteration of the Solar System team, three people had risen to prominence. Besides himself, there was Lear and Wang Zheng. Both Lear and himself could fight, inherently talented and strong. This was where Lie Xin fell behind a step. Although the Lie Flame Technique was not bad, her talent had not brought her to an indomitable pinnacle. He and Lear were different. This was why their ambitions were burning so brightly, and they had not expected an even more extraordinary Wang Zheng.
Although the team had their fair share of internal strife, all of them had the same goal. Although Lear liked to play his little games, the big picture would always come first. He was no fool.
He would open with the first shot.
Gelun looked at his opponent and suddenly smiled. He would taunt the opponent a bit first.
The Electric Deathlock let loose a huge sound, and its two arms shot a hail of lasers. At the same time, its laser cannons flipped outwards, aiming towards the Moonlit Sage Rider like some sort of grotesque beast.
Everybody was stunned for a moment. Rumble…
The lasers enveloped the Moonlit Sage Rider in an instant. Gelun laughed as he fired. This guy liked to show off? He clearly knew his firepower was so much weaker, but he still put on airs and struck a pose. No wonder the Solar System had always been weak.
Whoosh…
A shadow charged forward through the screen of bullets. Gelun was expecting it. With a swivel of his shoulder cannons, two rocket lasers fired towards the Moonlit Sage Rider. They were the seeking type, and would seal off the Moonlit Sage Rider's movement patterns.
After just evading a ferocious attack, could the Moonlit Sage Rider still move?
However, Achilles did not evade it, but leaped towards it, titanium guns in hand.
This… F*ck, was this suicide?
Whoosh… whoosh…
Miraculously, the two rockets actually did not explode, but were diverted to either side.
Gelun's eyes widened. F*ck, what ability was this!?
But Manalasuo people always responded quickly. Although they were surprised, their movements did not lag. Firepower that filled the skies was aimed to suppress the opponent's movement.
The Moonlit Sage Rider's engine roared, carrying it towards the skies. The titanium gun brandished towards Gelun. Gelun smiled slightly, answering it with his fist.
BOOM…
The Moonlit Sage Rider flew backwards, skidding for six or seven meters. The Electric Deathlock slowly straightened up as well, retracting the shoulder cannons. "Looks like you're not half bad!"
Gelun could sense that his opponent had not used his full power. The titanium gun had only probed lightly before disengaging, as though disdaining such an opening for attack.
He spread his arms. In his left hand was a chain, in his right hand a sickle. The scythe started to spin in his hands, quickly turning the sky into a danger zone. The Electric Deathlock approached the Moonlight Sage Rider step by step.
Achilles suddenly rushed at him. Whoosh…
Chapter 397: Reputation for Butchery

The electrified kusarigama flashed out, tracing a bewildering pattern in the air. It lashed directly forward at the Moonlit Sage Rider, fierce and hurried. The Moonlit Sage Rider lowered its head, and the chain passed over its shoulder. But this chain could not be grabbed. Contact would be rewarded with 200,000 volts of high charge. It was nothing to be played with.
Just as Achilles was about to attack, he sensed danger. Gelun smiled grimly and tugged. The scythe boomeranged back, wrapping towards the Moonlit Rider.
Whirlpool Lasso Constriction!
Gelun's unique move. Once the electrified chain held you tightly, you would be as helpless as a crab in a fisherman's net.
BOOM…
The Moonlit Rider rushed to the skies. At the same time, the silver gun fired at the ground, giving it the extra bit of lift to shrug off the confines of the electrified chain, but at the same time, it was struck by the chain.
But a ear-splitting rumble came from the side. The huge Electric Deathlock was already rushing towards the Moonlit Rider. This was too relentless.
At this moment, the Moonlit Rider had started to descend, and Gelun let an excited expression show.
This move was known as scattering the chickens to hit the egg! His other move was just to lead Achilles into a position like this.
BOOM…
The timing was just right, when the Moonlit Rider was just about to land.
Although the silver gun had been hooked by the chain previously, it could still fire. Although the Moonlit Rider was sent flying, he had managed to use the force from firing the guns to dodge the brunt of the blow.
Gelun rubbed his chin. Damn, what a wily bastard. Missed again.
The electrified kusarigama started to rotate again, at the same time charged with electricity. The entire chain was crackling with lightning, and as it spun, a hum could be heard.
"Gelun's composure seems to be slipping a little."
"Being played with like that by the Earthlings, it's to be expected."
Those who were familiar with Gelun widened their eyes in surprise. Those in charge of recording were even more attentive, because this was Gelun's unparalleled ultimate move. Gelun was no small fry in the Solar System.
His kusarigama in Manalasuo was the best. Paired with his unique Ability X, he almost seemed like a hacker.
Wielding his electrified kusarigama, the Electric Deathlock stepped towards the Moonlit Rider. His speed was unhurried, almost taunting. But anyone would feel misgivings when faced with the huge reverberations emanating from the kusarigama. Similar heavy type mecha did not have the agility to evade it, whereas scout type mecha would be completely wrecked at the slightest brush with the chain.
A fighter type mech fit nicely in the middle, giving one the illusion of chance. But in truth it was the weakest matchup. It neither had the required speed nor the required defensive capabilities. Its energy shields could not stop such an attack.
The kusarigama's rotation was so fast that it was beginning to generate static, almost forming a net in the air.
The two mecha were about 10 meters apart. The situation seemed completely in the hands of the Electric Deathlock, while the Moonlit Rider seemed helpless. Against such a ferocious fighter, the Moonlit Rider seemed like a helpless damsel in distress, struggling against a macho villain for emotional entertainment.
"Kill!"
With a violent shrug of the Electric Deathlock's shoulder, the kusarigama was about to move. But what was surprising was the kusarigama did not attack. In fact, the spasm created a magnetic storm that enshrouded the Moonlit Rider.
Whoosh…
At such a close distance, there was no way out!
Binded!
In a flash, the Moonlit Rider seemed to have been captured by the energy chains. This was Gelun's Ability X. The reason for his affinity with lightning was an unsurpassed understanding of electricity. Combined with his considerable physical strength, it brought him to stand unflinchingly at the point position in Manalasuo.
The fatal kusarigama flew out at this moment.
BOOM…
Everyone was deathly quiet, stunned into silence by the Electric Deathlock's godlike power. There was no way out. Contact would mean death, and the Moonlit Rider was trussed up like a chicken with that last move.
Achilles also seemingly had used his full strength. At the crucial moment, the titanium gun moved, blocking the kusarigama, but it was wrapped in the chain.
Gelun exerted furiously, pulling the Moonlit Rider over. At the same time, he gunned his engines. This was a finishing move. Once trapped in his magnetic storm, the energy shields would fail within a minute, while a full frontal collision with the Electric Deathlock would smash the pretty boy to smithereens. As much as he liked pretty girls, he liked crushing pretty boys too.
The enormous Electric Deathlock flew towards the Moonlit Rider like a cannonball. Yan Xiaosu closed his eyes. Fuck, this was too gory. He was too soft-hearted a person to witness such a grisly scene. He might not have seen eye to eye with Achilles in the past, but he was still one of them. To see his battered corpse… what a waste of talent.
Ye Zisu was watching intently. She was not watching the battle outcome, but rather the capabilities of the mecha. In this battle, the Electric Deathlock held all the advantages. The capabilities of the Moonlit Rider were simply insufficient to change the battle. This was a hopeless match.
Most crucially, once hit by the electromagnetic bind, not only would the shields be disabled, but the functional capacity would be cut by half or more. Faced with the ferocious Electric Deathlock, it would not have the power to retaliate further.
One meter…
Suddenly, the fated-to-die Moonlit Rider grabbed the chain and charged towards the Electric Deathlock. He twisted the chain lightly. Such fearsome momentum could be easily borrowed and turned.
But in the moment he twisted, the chain fell on the Electric Deathlock. Gelun was taken aback. Grimacing, he poured on the power. He had no idea how his opponent had shrugged off the bind, but for a little weasel like the Moonlit Rider to have trapped his own Electric Deathlock, how unbelievable was that!?
BOOM!
At that instant, everybody's eyeballs almost fell out of their sockets.
As though the Moonlit Rider had grown roots, the enormous Electric Deathlock had been knocked upwards, speeding up by about 15 or 16 times. Gelun's face was flushed, and blood spurted from his mouth and nose, and his brain was on fire.
The huge Electric Deathlock had been trapped in the air, and the Moonlit Rider fired a shot. From the start of the battle, this had been the only worthy attack that Achilles had made.
Somehow, this one shot made the Electric Deathlock look weak, incapable of locking down anything, and nothing more than a brittle-skinned toy.
BOOM…
It was over…
The broken shell of the enormous Electric Deathlock was slumped over a single shoulder of the Moonlit Rider.
The shot was good.
The Electric Deathlock crashed to the floor, sparks flying from its chest, just millimeters from the cockpit.
The titanium guns retracted with a flip, suave and composed. This was how Achilles, the Sun God, always was.
Solar System team, Achilles WIN.
The paramedics rushed in to extricate Gelun from the cockpit. His injury was mainly due to the sudden reversal of his momentum being dragged back. It had scrambled his internal organs. This guy clearly had guts. He had not fainted, but was holding on, staring down at the pretty boy. He would destroy his pretty face with just one hand.
Achilles shook his head slightly. "Looks like the reputation was undeserved."
The entire spectator crowd was silent until the elevator returned. Achilles sauntered back, face unflushed, and heart still. He had a smile on his face.
At this moment, the Solar System team erupted into shattering cheers. Although the battle had just begun, this fight had broken their gloom.
The Caragal Republic team was shocked as well. Since when had the Solar System become this good?
Max and his teammates exchanged glances. This did not seem right. Could they really pull an upset?
The fearsome strength needed to single-handedly take down the beastly Electric Deathlock. He had actually managed to shrug off the energy bind. Did the Moonlit Rider have such capabilities, or was it his Ability X?!
Manalasuo's faces were no longer as relaxed. A loss did not mean much by itself, but more importantly, it was indicative that their opponents were serious business.
This was an undisguised call out. Unbearable!
Who would go for the second round?
"Raslei!" Vincent commanded solemnly. Before the match, they had roughly gone through the Solar System team lineup. This Achilles had the biggest reputation amongst them, nicknamed the Sun God. They had thought him a puffed up brat, but had not expected him to be this good. Strength-type and specialty Ability X user?
Although this could not have been foreseen, a physical ability and specialized ability were often incompatible. Even Gelun had been through three rounds of physical strengthening. This was biological engineering rather than genetic modification. It could increase a soldier's strength output manifold. Of course, some physical conditions had to be met, and it had a chance of failure.
But this Achilles…
But neither side could dwell over much on this. They had to get on with the battle.
For the second round, Manalasuo's choice was a prime fighter, Raslei. Looking in the IG, this was one of the strongest leads. Formerly the captain, he had ceded the role to Vincent for unknown reasons, although this by no means meant that Raslei was weak. In the last iteration, his performance had been stupendous, losing only to the Atlantis team. But this iteration, he had come back with a storm to take the championship!
On the Solar System side, it was time for King Lear to make his appearance. It was time to see if he was a dragon or a worm.
Raslei was filled with arrogance. As the Vice-Captain of Manalasuo, and a participant in the last iteration of IG, his influence in the Manalasuo military school was considerable. He had to give it to the Solar System. Their Achilles had performed at an unprecedented level in the first round, and this tempered Raslei's attitude a little.
… The problem was that tempering your attitude in no way meant that your opponent had to temper his as well. As Lear took the field, he merely glanced at Raslei. He took no further interest in the Manalasuo vice-captain, who had stepped two paces forward only to pause, embarrassed.
Lear chose his mech, an assassin-type mech from Earth's Chronos family: Unbounded Sky Chains.
This mech had been produced by Chronos for more than a decade, but its capabilities were average. This was a scout mech, and had a certain degree of agility. But in truth, its defenses were too weak. As a humanoid scout mech, his agility and speed could not compete with beast-type mecha. Most crucially, it came with titanium swords. Normally, higher class assassin-type mecha chose curved blades, but this mech had purposely been equipped with standard, titanium swords.
In a world where beam sabers and titanium blades were favored, titanium swords had already been out of the meta. Just their contour alone was unsuited for battle. It was rumored to be the Chronos family's aesthetic indulgence. As the family name grew, one unpopular mech meant little difference.
Chapter 398: Unbounded Strength!
Translator: Abyssruler Editor: Lucas
As Manalasuo's ace candidate, Raslei had tried out many different mechas, but he had not tried this one before. All he knew was that it was a failed scout product. The designer's brain had been faulty. It would be completely thrashed by beast-type mechas.
Raslei hated this Lear punk. His features alone made him want to beat him up. He had a superior expression that only made that feeling stronger.
Raslei had chosen Manalasuo's beast-type scout mecha – Vampiric Werewolf.
Possessing excellent movement and turning capabilities, and scary titanium blades with strong close combat abilities. This was definitely a killer from the shadows, a sniper's nightmare.
Because of Achilles' unexpected performance in the first round, the audience was filled with curiosity for this round. It was said that Lear was the biggest braggart in the Solar System, and the most stuck up. But his mecha choice was amateur.
"Is Lear trying to advertise his own family? Zisu, are you familiar with this mecha?" Yan Xiaosu asked.
"This has been regarded as a recent failure of the Chronos family. It's too idealistic, although the capabilities are not bad. Everything had been value-added, but nothing actually works. In practical battle, the response has been lackluster." Ye Zisu shook her head.
If Lear was trying to use the battle as advertisement, it was definitely a high-reward move. If he won, it would immediately attract the military's attention. But this was also a high-risk move.
"Boss, the Solar System sent Manalasuo scuttling of like rabbits. So aggressive." Rousseau laughed. He was Caragal Republic's point fighter.
Max was puzzled as well. From the first match, the pace of battle had been off. It was as though Pandora's box had just been opened, and the Solar System Federation team was just starting to get serious.
But such a way of thinking belonged only to the strongest. For a team like the Solar System, this would be baseless and arrogant.
Regardless, all would come to light after this match.
Lear and Raslei entered the elevator. The mechas had already arrived. Lear jumped into the mecha with a practiced move.
The main designer of "Unbounded Sky Chains" had been Lear. It was the materialization of his vision. But normal people would not understand his genius. Because of this, he had become passive within his family for a spell.
A jack-of-all-trades, sitting-duck mecha? After so long, there was finally an opportunity for him. He was Lear. Without a suitable stage, why would he show them?
The two mechas started their engines, and rumbled their way into the practice arena. A battle between scout mechas was undisputedly the most fast-paced. The Vampiric Werewolf faced Unbounded Sky Chains!
The battle began!
Raslei's eyes were locked on that scrawny mecha with its titanium swords ill suited for cutting. That guy was sick in the mind, and plagued with weaknesses.
The scrawny mecha had a pitiful defense. Its best aspect was its speed, but against an agile beast-type mecha, it was food.
Within the world of scout mechas, beast-type mechas were harder to master than humanoid-type mechas. But once mastered, the situational limitations were less. The outcome of humanoid against beast was always one-sided.
In the last match, Manalasuo had carelessly lost, and big. In this match, he must bring morale back to the team.
The Vampiric Werewolf's engine gave a low growl. At the same time, its body raised, gathering power in its four limbs. With a deafening sound, the Vampiric Werewolf rushed its prey.
A ferocious attack, four limbs askew. Such speed left humanoid mechas in the dust. Unbounded Sky Chain unsheathed its titanium swords.
Achilles and the rest were staring at Lear. Earth was the founder of strengthening battle power, and Lear was undisputedly one of the representative characters of Earth. What was he capable of now?
Achilles had already sensed the heightening of the Heavenly King Arts, and this allowed them not to over-rely on Ability x to deliver fatal attacks to their opponents.
Did this herald the beginning of a new era?
BOOM…
The Werewolf rose in the air. Midair, its claws crackled with lightning, murderously aimed at Unbounded Sky Chains.
Ting, ting, ting, ting, ting…
Sparks flew from the contact of metal on metal. The Werewolf suddenly pounced. It turned suddenly, its four limbs delivering a frenzied attack with no weak points. The air was filled with the glints from its blades as it prepared to shred the weak Unbounded Sky Chains.
Werewolf's Mad Dance!
Forceful leaps, sudden direction changes. However, Lear's defences were flawless against such a crazy assault, his swords flashing out again and again.
Raslei put on the pressure. His opponent could not counterattack. He would claw him to death.
The consecutive frenzied claws struck out high, middle, and low. In a short span of 5 minutes, Raslei had executed a few hundred attacks, leaving everybody stunned. Such a frenzied assault, however, had been completely blocked by Lear.
The quantity of attacks did not matter, it was the quality.
Compared to Raslei's blistering speed, Lear's sword was slow. He looked like he was moving in slow motion, but each movement was effective, forcing his opponent into even more moves to maintain the attacking momentum.
Steady!
Only Luo Fei had nothing to say. Anybody who had seen Lear in action would have no doubts. Luo Fei had asked before, once. Why was it that the same move could be so different? Lear had answered casually. Once you had repeated each move millions of times, even a pig would understand.
From the age of 3, the Chronos family had subjected Lear to harsh training. A kid wielding a huge sword, ceaselessly cutting, regardless of rain or shine. 10 times, 100 times, 1000 times, 10000 times…
There was no end to it. A crazy legend from a crazy family.
Either one perished in ambition or reveled in its realization.
And the peak of craziness, was peace.
But who knew of the monster that lurked beneath the peaceful exterior?
Ping…
With a parry from Unbounded Sky Chains, Raslei's Werewolf was beaten away, staggering. Beast-type mechas cores were undoubtedly the most stable, but it had been carelessly beaten aside by the opponent.
From start to end, Lear had used the simplest blocks. Unbounded Sky Chains did not seek to pursue. The sword tips were lowered to the floor. Even his gaze was not directed at his opponent.
Manalasuo began to fret. What was Raslei playing at? Was this some charade? Destroy him!
But Vincent was not muttering like his comrades. He was completely focused on the Unbounded Sky Chains. A true pro had emerged.
How could the Solar System have an existence of such caliber? Only one who had trained each move relentlessly thousands of times could make such a high difficulty fight look effortless.
Although his blade was ordinary, it was packed with power. His timing was even more impeccable. Any move had its strong and weak moments, although this was most commonly exposed in all-out blows. But this Lear had even mastered those of normal attacks. But to completely focus on capitalizing on these timing windows required too much effort, and nobody could sustain it for long. Lear made it look innate.
Raslei's blood was boiling. Although not much time had passed, he was already beginning to feel fatigued, both in mind and body. This scrawny mecha actually had such power. Damn!
He could not keep this up for much longer. Finish him! Finish him!
Awooo~~~
The Vampiric Werewolf howled towards the sky. With a roar of the engines, Raslei was clearly readying himself for the killing blow.
No more playing around!
The Vampiric Werewolf moved suddenly. Unbounded Sky Chains was still waiting quietly. Ground attack? Sky attack? Flanks?
The Vampiric Werewolf had apparently seized the initiative. Full speed attack!
Suddenly the Werewolf opened its mouth, shooting lasers!
This was the advantage of beast-type mechas, capable of both long and short range attack. Raslei's accuracy was fairly high, as befitting of Manalasuo's ace. Even at such speeds, he could keep up the damage of his shots. Unbounded Sky Chains was compelled to maneuver evasively. In that instant, the Vampiric Werewolf, which had been sprinting at maximum speed, suddenly disappeared.
Zhang Shan started, his eyeballs almost popping out. … Warp!
This Raslei was also a warp ability user, and the distance was much further than what he was capable of. Crucially, he could use it even when moving at high speeds. He was clear that for himself to use the ability, he needed a fairly stable state.
This opponent was clearly a cut above him.
The vanished Vampiric Werewolf suddenly appeared in front of Unbounded Sky Chains. The titanium blades had completely captured Unbounded Sky Chains. The lasers had been interference, while this was the real killing move, definitely unfailable!
The frenzied claw blades raked downwards, delivering a death blow. Nobody could dodge such an attack!
Whoosh…
At this moment, something strange happened. The claws raked nothing but air, and Unbounded Sky Chains actually vanished!
Could Lear teleport as well?
Could it be superspeed ability?
Unbelievable speed. This was really going crazy. Could Lear actually be a speed type Ability x user?
They could only see the outline of a mecha. In the next instant, Unbounded Sky Chains reappeared, still at its original position.
The Vampiric Werewolf had stopped.
Clang clang clang…
The Vampiric Werewolf had collapsed. It had definitely collapsed. Its head and four limbs had been neatly dissected. Only the middle part was left rolling on the floor.
The entire arena was silent. What exactly had happened in that instant?
On the huge projector screen above, the instant replayed. In the instant that the Vampiric Werewolf had displaced behind Unbounded Sky Chains, Unbounded Sky Chains had displaced as well, a frightening sideways lurch. This was just the beginning. It closely followed with a 90 degree diagonal movement, at the same time cutting out with the titanium swords. And another shift, and another cut, and another shift…
Under slow motion, the moves looked ordinary, but once reverted to normal speed, it was nothing but a blur.
Movement, control, timing, an intricately composed symphony. This… was not Ability x!
The arena was quiet. What training did it take to raise such a monster?
Wang Zheng quietly watched the technique, then suddenly laughed. To reach this level, one needed to crawl out of hell a few times. He had personally experienced this before. He had counted himself alone in this, but now he saw that there were others who had been through the same thing.
Perhaps one day he would have a real match with Lear. That would be interesting.
Lear clearly knew his opponent had the ability to warp, even if Raslei had not used it before. But Lear had his own sources of intelligence, and did not need the military.
Round 2, Solar System Federation team WIN!
"Is this going to be an upset?"
"Manalasuo down 2-0…"
"You got to be kidding. Did you get it wrong?"
"I thought so too, but apparently not. Our people conveyed the results. The Solar System Federation team is turning the tables!"
399 Frightened into Peeing their Pants
Translator:Abyssruler | Editor: Lucas "For real? Is it that Wang Zheng again?"
"No, Wang Zheng hasn't made an appearance yet. I heard they're crushing Manalasuo…"
Key personnel in the various battle zones had received the news. A strong team like Manalasuo naturally deserved attention, as a potential opponent. When the news first came in, they had thought it was some breaking new battle strategy by Manalasuo, not the news that they were 0-2 behind.
Raslei walked out by himself, his legs a little unsteady. In that instant, he had not even been able to retaliate. He had been beaten blind.
Back at the gathering platform, Raslei looked towards Lear, but he still refused to even look at him. Such an individual was merely a passing small fry in Lear's life.
Lear's face always looked as though he was mocking the world. But now, those that glanced his way were discussing him in whispers.
Lear sat back down silently at his seat. Fatty immediately hauled his ass over with drinks, with a free bootlicking on the side.
Manalasuo had been beaten 0-2. Things were not looking good. Vincent frowned slightly. The Solar System Federation team's most famous members were Lear and Achilles. They were legends even in Academy X. Although such a performance was unprecedented, it fell neatly within his calculations. This match was a best of 7, and the Solar System was running out of aces. All they had left was Wang Zheng. Although not much was known about his status, Vincent was not overly worried. The odds still remained in their favor.
It fell to the Solar System to send out their fighter first in the third round. More people were streaming in, clearly having heard the news. The other battle zones were proceeding predictably. The chances of pulling off an upset in the top 16 contests was low.
At this moment, startled cries ensued from the back, and everybody stood up.
A few of the strong teams' intelligence personnel were left gaping as well. After they had sent out the news, they had anticipated that some teams might send some members to watch the match.
But…
My God!
The Atlantis team was in full attendance!
Was this a dream???
The Atlantis team had already easily swept their opponents in a 4-0. They had faced no resistance. The team that faced Atlantis had no need to struggle either. This team's strength was unparalleled. They were the hot favorites to take the championship this time around. Perhaps only Aslan and Arbiter could pose a threat, but their chances were not good either.
Because this team not only had the unbelievably shining aces Bordia and Azhas, who were nicknamed as protected by God himself, but not a single member of the team was lacking either. Atlanteans were best as controlling their emotions. Because of their faith, they were unshakable.
To the Atlanteans, they were limitless. Unless by their own choice, they were unbeatable.
But such a team had actually brought full attendance here… for Manalasuo?
Clearly Manalasuo was strong, but they were still not worthy.
People were bowing and scraping, because it was not just the members that had come. Atlantis' prince Hao Lin had arrived as well. The little prince, who had human and Atlantean blood, looked more like an Atlantean, although his features were an amalgamation of the two, and irresistibly appealing.
Manalasuo's Bole and Meng Ao and the rest from Earth stood as well. Although the prince was young, his status was unmeasurably high. Because of the special circumstances, they conceded simple gestures of respect as well.
The Atlantis team sat at the extreme back… They were really here to watch the match.
Bordia and Azhas sat on the left and right of Hao Lin. They were obviously uninterested in the Solar System team, but it had been the prince's orders.
But once they saw the score, they were also surprised. The Manalasuo team had always been very strong. No matter how much they had flagged in this iteration, a skinny camel was always bigger than a horse. This was definitely a surprising turn of events.
Wang Zheng looked over as well. Catching the eye of the Aslan prince, he smiled. The prince smiled back as well, a friendly person.
Wang Zheng had no idea what they were doing here.
But the atmosphere was starting to heat up as the news spread.
The Atlantis team had personally made an appearance. Were they really here to watch the match?
This was surely a joke. The immediate response was disbelief, but it could not have been an error by so many people. Unless this was a huge prank involving actors.
The next battle was indeed risky. Nobody was sure of their chances, unless Wang Zheng decided to go. Apparently Wang Zheng had no intentions of fighting in the upper half.
His gaze swept past Lie Xin and Zhang Runan, landing on Fatty, who was still busy fawning over Lear. He had not even noticed the Atlantean prince. One must respect the art of bootlicking without being distracted.
"Third match, Luo Fei"
"Yes. Uh. Wait, what? Me again?" Luo Fei pointed at himself. He had already lost once previously. It had been embarrassing. How could it have fallen to him again?
"You see, uh, Leader, I sustained an internal injury in the last match, and I'm still…" Halfway through his excuses, he saw Lear nod, and his tone immediately changed. "… ready to fight to the death for the team!" he declared with a righteous commitment that inspired reverence. Quite the martyr.
Lear understood the meaning of this match. He would put aside their personal differences. He knew that Wang Zheng saw Luo Fei's true strength, and he respected him for that. Wang Zheng dared to use his team, unafraid of taking losses or criticism. Such a rival was difficult to harry, but he admired him for it. He would add a little color to Wang Zheng's path.
Zhang Shan and the rest were a little nervous. Why would Wang Zheng play with fire at such a crucial time? Manalasuo was not like their past opponents, and would leap at the slightest slip up on their part.
Even Manalasuo was not sure how to take it. They had felt it would be Lie Xin, if not Zhang Runan, who took the field, but it was in fact the trash Fatty.
Was this contempt?
"Ramses, this match is yours. No quarter!"
"Yes, Sir!"
Ramses stood up. His brow bone was a little dented. He had been hit before in a past practice. Although he had been treated, there was still a noticeable contour, which was very intimidating.
But Ramses had the title of "Preparation Mechanist"!
He was a geek of mech!
Seeing his opponent make his way quickly forward, Fatty hastened forward as well, extending his hand forward. "Sir, please take care of me, and go easy."
Ramses coldly slapped his hand away. "Resign early. Don't blame me if you die."
Ramses readily chose his own mech, Arbiter's Butcher.
…
This was a sniper suited for close battles, definitely requiring a high level of operation. Too bad he was matched up against such a groveling, disgusting fatty. Fighting such an opponent was almost an insult. His fawning form had been seen by everybody. Such a sycophant had actually made his way into the team. He had no idea what the Solar System team was thinking. And furthermore, to give battle chances to this guy again and again.
The fatty chose the mech that Manalasuo had fielded just prior, Vampiric Werewolf.
…
Manalasuo's expression immediately turned dark. This was a clear insult!
Could this lumbering fatty control such an agile mech?
The Vampiric Werewolf required bloodthirst. Only a berserk pilot could bring out that potential. To let such a nauseating Earthling use it was an insult to the premium mech.
At the Solar System team's seats, Wang Zheng, Lear, and Achilles were calm, but at this time nobody doubted that it was genuine. Regardless of the eventual result, the Solar System team had already proven their ability. They had entered the top 32 and could return heads held high.
The mech that Fatty drove shuffled forward slowly. The Butcher had already taken its position, waiting for the battle to start.
"This mech is indeed user-friendly. Good sir from Manalasuo, please teach me well today!" Fatty said.
Hearing those words, Ramses felt like puking. To meet such a cockroach on such a prestigious and dignified stage.
"I recommend you surrender immediately, and you can continue to kiss Lear's ass. Otherwise, it will be your life," Ramses taunted.
Vampiric Werewolf lurched to its feet comically, extending a claw. Luo Fei's voice issued from the mech, although it seemed a little distorted, as though he was somebody else. "One minute."
BOOM…
As his words landed, the Vampiric Werewolf immediately shot forward. Sneak attack!
But Ramses would not fall for the trick. The Butcher's laser guns immediately fired. Close combat lasers would destroy all types of scouts.
The Vampiric Werewolf dodged left and right, advancing. Ramses let out a chilling laugh. The laser hummed… Colossal Matrix Point Shot!
Fatal lock on!
This was one of the killer moves that shooting types employed. Luo Fei was suddenly surrounded by a matrix of lasers that was specially targeted to kill beast-type mecha.
But the loping Vampiric Werewolf mech actually executed a high-speed flip, dodging it as though it were nothing unusual. After the flip, its speed did not decrease. At this moment, Ramses started to realize that something was wrong.
His pupils dilating to fill the whole eye, the Butcher began using an Ability X involving warping. A fatal attack with no weak points.
At this moment, they descended into a mode that brooked no interference, completely tunneled in on the target. Either one was sure to die, and their concentration was heightened to the limit.
Neither had activated their energy shields. Whoever did so would limit their movements.
Time ticked on, second by second.
But what was most surprising was not the Butcher's performance, but the Vampiric Werewolf's. Its movements… were even more ferocious than Ramses'. Perhaps each had their own character. But although Ramses was fearsome, it fell within acceptable boundaries. Luo Fei's Vampiric Werewolf seemed inhuman.
At this time, Luo Fei was an animal.
The Vampiric Werewolf entered the attack radius. Ability X – Weakening!
In an instant, the Butcher's movements slowed by just a little bit, and the Vampiric Werewolf pounced. But Ramses was not the Preparatory Mechanist for nothing. He activated his energy shields without pause, and the opponent's weakening ability did not fully inhibit his movements. The was a strong point of Manalasuo warriors.
But… the tragedy had just begun.
A Vampiric Werewolf only went fully berserk when it pounced on its prey. No rest until death!
The claw blades slashed as though possessed. The air was filled with claw trails. It was more than twice of what Raslei had brought.
Hesitant people were afraid of the unreasonable. The unreasonable were afraid of the reckless. The reckless were afraid of the insane.
Of all the martial arts in the world, only madness was unbreakable.
BOOM…
In the blink of an eye, the energy shield was torn apart, and the Vampiric Werewolf's claw slashed forward. BOOM…
Everybody was scared out of their wits. This slash had directly hit the cockpit, and extracted the pilot directly!
A-wooo~~~
The Vampiric Werewolf let out a possessed howl upon seizing its prey. With a roar of its engine, one more burst would turn Ramses into a puddle of flesh.
This was an animal-like attack, incomparably agile.
This was the ass-kisser Fatty???
Everybody shuddered. Those that had taunted Fatty before felt their necks turn cold.
The Vampiric Werewolf's mouth aimed directly at Ramses. The mouth cannon yawned. Ramses suddenly let out an anguished wail…
Manalasuo's members could not resist closing their eyes. This was definitely the most shameful event in Manalasuo's history. Ramses had peed his pants in fear.
JDcarmelo JDcarmelo I wish it will become 2 ch/day now that its premium Athimaharathi Athimaharathi what i really hate is how no one has realised that lear is making his own team mate loose for his sake. those generals are supposed to notice these small things… KurtKirt KurtKirt I agree with poster #2??? I really wish that it can have 2ch/day
Chapter 400: Dark Horizon
Translator: Abyssruler Editor: Lucas
The judge had already called for an emergency halt to the match. The match was unquestionably over.
Solar System team 3-0…
The arena was quiet. Nobody had imagined such an outcome. Damn, the Solar System was a wolf in sheep's clothing!
How had this happened? How had this happened?
The bloodlust from Luo Fei's eyes gradually vanished. If it was not for the emergency halt, he could very well have killed his opponent. He had to control himself.
More important was that Ramses had violated Fatty's taboo.
The paramedics smelled the cloying stench of urine and feces. Perhaps everybody was prepared to face death, but to be clawed out of your cockpit was a terrifying experience.
Fatty patted his own pudgy face, adjusting his expression before he stepped out of his cockpit. He walked towards his opponent. "Sorry about that, did I hurt you?"
As he approached, the medical personnel were scared back a few steps. Fatty rubbed his head bashedly. He was really a good person.
On the platform, the Atlantis team members did not feel much. His skill level was not bad, but still far from sufficient.
At this moment, Manalasuo's Bole had been paralyzed. The battle was over.
He had initially thought that the only monster in the Solar System was Wang Zheng. He now saw that he was a monster leading a whole pack of monsters.
This was the first disaster of this IG.
Only, Manalasuo was but the first sacrifice.
Vincent took the field for the fourth match. Manalasuo's last hope. They were still holding on to hope. As long as they won this match, the Solar System would have no more cards to play. They could not possibly have so many monsters. Manalasuo still had hope.
Vincent had become the leader of Manalasuo at the age of 19 because he was undefeatable. He could still bring them back from the brink of disaster. His skill level was galaxy level.
Although the Solar System had brought such considerable strength to the table, Manalasuo were still confident, because Vincent was unperturbed. The opponents were strong, but it was still manageable.
It was almost time for the win to be decided.
The Solar System side naturally sent Wang Zheng. If they were smarter, they would have sent a weaker opponent to tank the loss, but this was clearly not the style of the Solar System.
In the crowd's eyes, it seemed like he liked to take risks when he should be prudently strategizing, and strategizing when he needed to risk it all.
Fourth round, leaders' battle, and also match point for the Solar System team.
Wang Zheng versus the Manalasuo super-genius Vincent.
Here at the Solar System side, battles were proceeding like wildfire. In other zones too, similar fights were ensuing. Besides a few easy walkovers, the majority still needed to be decided.
Zone A.
Aslan versus Hercules Star. The Astina Federation was matched up against the Sagittarius team.
The Hercules Star had drawn the shortest straw, but unexpectedly the team was not as gloomy as imagined. On the contrary…
They were ecstatic, whooping as one. Their dreams of world domination began with bringing Aslan under their swords. So what if the Hercules Star was not a strong nation? In matters of individual strength, the Hercules Star people were never satisfied. This batch, especially, had a few geniuses, and they disdained the likes of Aslan and Arbiter.
"Finally a worthy opponent!"
"Eradicate them. What Sword Saint, Sword Magician? All self-affixed titles. What a joke."
"Although it's a bit early to show our killing hand, since the opponent is Aslan, it's worth it! Destroy them!" Leader Mead raised his hands happily. His face was the most euphoric of them all.
Against the indomitable will of the Hercules Star, the Aslan Empire's side was still taking it easy.
As the results showed, ideals were often more colorful than the gritty reality, and so the Hercules Star was beaten soundly. Furthermore, it had been by Aslan's reserve members. Although the process was definitely a tad slow, the Aslanian people were clearly still in their comfort zone and not eager to show off. The saying went that those who looked too hot were destined to fail. Until date, nobody had dared to claim that they had the power to take the champion. Under such circumstances, a mature state of mind was undoubtedly very important.
Aurora and Oz were having a pleasant chat. "I just heard the news that the entire Atlantis team went to zone D, led personally by the prince."
"No cause for concern. Atlantis has always been interested in Earth's civilization. These ancient civilizations are always a bit nostalgic. If they make it into the top 16, that would be worth noticing, though."
In Zone C, a special battle was ongoing. Before the match. they had known that only one team would walk away alive. The Darkness Empire against the Immortal Fairy Star team. This was a karmic encounter.
Both countries had ties to Keelung, the famous explorer of the Star Voyager Era.
Keelung was born in the Darkness Empire, founded in the early days of the interplanetary giant navigation age. He grew up living in the slums and dreamed of becoming an interstellar explorer. To be an explorer, one must first have a vessel that could traverse the universe for a long time. For his dream, Keelung had done everything, fraud, smuggling … as long as it was profitable, he had done it.
But right as he was about to earn enough money to buy a deep space explorer ship, he had lost everything in a gamble at the preeminent house of Bonthe of the Darkness Empire. The bold Keelung had led his troop on a stealth attack on the Bonthe family, snatching away their ultimate explorer ship, and inadvertently exposing their illegal armory, throwing the Darkness Empire into chaos.
The disorder had finally been quelled by the Bonthe family. The royal family had become their puppet. Using the name of the general, the Bonthe family firmly controlled the country. However, due to the scandal, many other countries in the galaxy imposed sanctions. The strength of the Darkness Empire was severely weakened. and it missed the most crucial period of expansion in the era of the Great Voyager, adopting a conservative defense.
Keelung became the most wanted criminal in the Darkness Empire.
The Immortal Fairy Star was located at the far edge of the Milky Way. Its name had originated from a misunderstanding. In the middle of the Star Voyager era, Keelung, who had already become a great explorer, found a supermassive black hole. He entered, and after three days of wormhole travel, he arrived at a foreign galaxy. The star field was filled with nebulas and magnetic storms, to the point where even deep space had been affected. The only form of entrance or exit was that wormhole.
Because of charting errors and limits of technology at the time, Keelung thought that they had already left the Milky Way behind, and entered into the neighboring Andromeda galaxy.
Because of the Darkness Empire's arrest warrant, and the fact that the only access point was the wormhole, making it easy to defend and difficult to attack, Keelung decided to settle and build the present-day Immortal Fairy Galaxy Alliance.
Only a century after its establishment, when the Star Voyager era ended, was it discovered that it was still located in the Milky Way. But the name of "Immortal Fairy Galaxy Alliance" had already been acknowledged by the galaxy, and remained.
It could be said that Keelung had established the Immortal Fairy Galaxy Alliance and was their founding father.
Keelung was also responsible for the Darkness Empire losing their opportunity to become a superpower, and was a national criminal.
As they entered peaceful times, both sides remained at odds, developing at furious paces. The Immortal Fairy Star, due to its unique location, monopolized a few rare minerals, and was booming as well. Other countries enjoyed their quarrel, occasionally creating "opportunities".
Before the battle begun, both sides had already started the taunts.
"Black dogs, today will be your doomsday," the Immortal Fairy Star team members directly said, pointing their middle fingers in unison.
The Darkness Empire looked composed, but they had a wild gleam in their eyes. If it was not for the cursed Keelung, the Darkness Empire could very well be taking the place of Aslan or Arbiter.
Especially the captain, Sloughberg, the oldest son of the Bonthe family, and the first heir.
In the recent century, this was the most promising heir of the Bonthe family. Whether in personality or strength, he was the most outstanding in the family.
Whereas this iteration of the Immortal Fairy Star's captain was Keelung's direct descendant, Li Ang Keelung.
Both parties knew, as did the representative groups, that the clash would be a life and death struggle.
In terms of power, the Immortal Fairy Star and Darkness Empire had always been evenly matched.
This iteration as well, the predictions were about the same. Their fight would be a bloody massacre like that of the Asura.
Sloughberg Bonthe was the first to take the field, to hisses from the Immortal Fairy Star team.
Sloughberg raised his right hand, pointing at the Immortal Fairy Star team leader, Li Ang, his eyes cold. Did he dare to take up the challenge?
Li Ang stood up, the temperature of his eyes equally low. He raised his thumb, then turned his fist into a thumbs down. Bring it on!
Neither side gave any ground. Both were confident attack types that needed no complicated strategy. Since they had started with the leader, then he should answer the challenge as their leader.
Their battle was not just about win or lose. Their enmity was too deep, and, especially considering their personal history, evading the battle was impossible.
The Fairy Star team started to chant. "Kill, kill, kill!"
In comparison, the Darkness Empire's mood was solemn, although their murderous intent was equally thick.
Both sides to the field. Sloughberg chose the Darkness Empire's super mech King of Hell IV, while Li Ang chose Immortal Fairy Star's super mech Fairy King.
King of Hell against Fairy King.
A world of hatred would be shown in their struggle.
Everybody looked on with dread. This would be a wicked battle… Only one would walk out on with their own two legs.
BOOM…
King of Hell used a death sickle, a rarely seen long weapon. At this time, a long knife cut could be seen on its left breast. It had sustained it from the clash earlier in a combination of weapon and speed. It had a superior reach, but suffered in close combat. Luckily, it had just been a graze, not a deep wound.
Li Ang was in his best form. He licked his lips. In these life and death battles, his speed Ability X senses were at their best. As a direct descendant of Keelung, to kill the first heir of the Bonthe family in the IG was a joyous affair indeed.
The Fairy Star side was in high spirits too. Oh, Li Ang would surely win!
The Darkness Empire side had become even more sober. They had not even wavered the slightest when Sloughberg slipped.
Uncaring?
BOOM…
The King of Hell IV charged towards the Fairy King mech, taking the initiative.
Li Ang did not retreat, meeting it head on. Suddenly, Li Ang was startled, his pupils widening…
The world had gone black!
No, it was not the world that had changed, but…
Li Ang had lost his sight!
The energy shields flared to life, but it was already too late. The death sickle scythed through like cutting wheat, slicing through the Fairy King mech's head. The entire mech lost control, stumbling forward through inertia. Turning, the King of Hell's sickle cleaved into the cockpit.
BOOM…
The whooping Fairy Star team felt their cries wither in their throats.
Darkness Empire was still quiet, looking on with knowing satisfaction. Their leader was the strongest heir to the Bonthe family in 100 years. The moment that the Fairy Star's Li Ang had stepped up, he was already swinging in the noose.
Li Ang's death had unnerved the Fairy Star team. In the subsequent matches, even if both sides were fairly matched, the Fairy Star team always slipped up, fumbling head and foot. They were trounced 4-0, eliminated in suffering. The three matches had resulted inthree deaths!
Darkness Empire, in the top 32, had finally started to bare their fangs.
The Darkness Screen Ability X not only obscured one's vision, but also instilled psychological terror. This was not a hallucinatory Ability X. Simply put, it was the Darkness Empire's unique darkness falling onto its opponent! It was an ability even rarer than warping or displacement.
The cruelty of the Darkness Empire had raised discussion, especially with their purposeful killings. But this was simply hot air, because the Darkness Empire would not stop!
But at this moment, Zone D was in hushed silence, because Wang Zheng had again chosen Manalasuo's Golden Wheel mech.
Chapter 401: Golden Wheel Battle King vs the Radiant Wheel King Translator: Abyssruler Editor: Lucas
By now Manalasuo had lost some of their casual arrogance. Somehow they were already behind 0-3, and their last hope rested on Vincent's shoulders.
As for Wang Zheng's choice, Vincent felt a slight tinge of puzzlement, but confidently made his own choice.
Radiant Wheel King!
This was Manalasuo's super mech. Any great country, like Manalasuo, would not stumble at the same place. Although the Golden Wheel mech was a failure, it had provided material, which had seen light in the Radiant Wheel King. This was the evolved version of the Golden Wheel mech. A fighter-type mech, with terrifying forward movement ability, as well as a ridiculous attack power that left people stupefied.
It was rumored that on Manalasuo, only mechnists could use it, because such mecha took a high physical and mental toll, requiring one to be an expert at multitasking to pilot. To fully unlock its capabilities, one had to multitask three activities simultaneously.
The Manalasuo team members had been high-profile, whereas the leader, Vincent, had been rather low-profile. This allowed even the representative group to maintain their peace.
But at this juncture, it was clearly a life and death matter. It was time to go all out, without considering the eventual match with Aslan. First, they had to clear this hurdle.
If they crumbled while facing the Solar System team, their long time rivals, Aslan, would fall over laughing.
When Vincent chose the Radiant Wheel King, the other members had heaved a collective sigh of relief. They had already turned their attention to the next battle, discussing the competency of the substitutes. They had absolute faith that it was impossible for each and every member of the Solar System to be that strong.
They were now about to confirm the limits of the Solar System team.
"Captain, goooo!" Zhang Shan cupped his hands and screamed.
Those around him stared at him like he was a clown. At these crucial moments, what was needed was calm, not such noisy screaming.
Zhang Shan did not care. He looked around proudly, as though the match had already been won.
"Has Wang Zheng trained with the Golden Wheel before?" Meng Tian asked, suddenly worried.
"Golden Wheel, what is that?" Zhang Shan had only heard of it before. "Doesn't matter. They're all just mecha, about the same."
"Ignorance is a terrifying thing." Lear sniffed, looking at the arena. He was a little worried. Wang Zheng never played his cards predictably. They could not afford to lose this battle. It seemed as though the Solar System held all the cards, but if they lost, the tide of battle could quickly swing back towards Manalasuo. This opportunity should not slip through their fingers. Lear did not bear much confidence in the remaining members of the team.
But he was not the leader.
"Tch. Wang Zheng is a genius. Golden Wheel, Silver Wheel, he'll thrash them and that will be the end of it."
Achilles barked a short laugh and shook his head. "The Golden Wheel is a failure that Manalasuo built, while the Radiant Wheel King is the success built on the ruins of the Golden Wheel mech failure. In Manalasuo, only mechnists can pilot it. By the looks of it, Vincent has already broken the record of youngest mechnist. Manalasuo is really something."
The most outstanding to present had been the captains of teams like Arbiter, but Manalasuo in this iteration was surprisingly low-profile. Could they have more up their sleeves?
"Your Highness, the Earthlings are throwing the match again. It looks like 3-0, but they're in a dangerous spot. I've used this Golden Wheel mech before. It's a completely idealized mech, and not suited for practical battle at all," Azhas said.
Compared to Azhas, Bordia was a little more sensitive. Although His Highness the prince was young, he was a god amongst men, possessing an unimaginable sense.
Bordia concentrated on Wang Zheng. Ever since they had arrived, his Highness had paid attention to little else.
"Perhaps this person is just suited to use the Golden Wheel mech. Every mech has a soul. If an affinity between souls exists, even a tin can could become a god."
"Keke, Bordia, you think too much."
As for Wang Zheng, almost no one understood his choice, save two. Meng Ao and Bole inadvertently exchanged glances. The pressure on Bole was immense, although his chances of winning were not inexistent. Strength in group battles did not equate to strength in 1v1s. There was a chance!
At the entrance, a lonely figure quietly sat in a corner. It was Kong Zhan. He had not left. With a conflicted heart, he had made a decision then. He still did not feel his decision was wrong, because if Wang Zheng had really shown his true colors then, they would have been robbed of their morale, and finished at the end. But in the end, they had lost, and he had shouldered too much. His captainship had been taken away. He did not regret this – one must always face the consequences of one's decision. But he had to know if Wang Zheng really had that kind of power, and if the video was real.
If it… was a lie, then he might very well kill himself against a wall.
Nobody paid any attention to Kong Zhan. A loser was a worthless person.
The Golden Wheel mech's position was considerably further away, and took some time to arrive; nobody had anticipated that such an unpopular mech would be chosen. In comparison, Vincent's mech was very quickly readied.
The shining silver Radiant Wheel King. Radiantly designed on all eight sides, maximum air friction minimization, and a turbo effect when it entered high speeds. This was the peak of Manalasuo's developmental niche. The mech was medium-sized, and its weapons were two specially manufactured apertures. It has to be said that the Manalasuo scientists were mad. They had even utilized superconductor alloys to create such perverse weapons. The superconductor radiant wheels were incomparably durable in close combat. At mid to long range distances, they could release a superpower wheel once charged, which was super effective against energy shields. A killing move with no weaknesses.
A super mech suited for both far and close fights. But this mech's requirements were unbelievably high. The pilot's energy level must be a rank C Ability X user, and when it came to physical condition, one must be a mid-class rank D Ability X user at least. Only then could they control such a mech.
The Superconductor radiant wheels were definitely superior to the golden wheels, and did not need to be retracted to be fired again. Science was the highest power.
It was widely held that the Radiant Wheel King was the mature version of the Golden Wheel mech, and that the Golden Wheel mech could not even be considered a finished product.
The mech had arrived.
The Golden Wheel was about the same size as Radiant Wheel King, but some clear differences in detail were apparent. The Golden Wheel was coarsely done. The two huge golden wheels were especially… dull.
Most importantly, Vincent's understanding of the Golden Wheel mech was equally perfect!
As Manalasuo's genius mechnist, he had tried to conquer this mech which had brought shame to the empire. His final work was not bad, bringing out a certain level of killing power, although it was unstable. In all honestly, it was still not suited for practical battle. Against a normal opponent, it was serviceable, but it would be playing with fire to bring it out in such a crucial match. Using the Radiant Wheel King to crush the Golden Wheel was a sure win.
Perhaps his opponent intended to use this to provoke him, but he would not fall for it. He would proceed as though Wang Zheng could use the Golden Wheel.
Both sides bowed. Neither Wang Zheng nor Vincent was the kind to conduct verbal assaults.
The pilots entered their mecha, loaded in, and harmonized. The two mech fighters' eyes lit up.
Solar System Federation team and Manalasuo Empire team's deciding battle.
The atmosphere quietened. Both mecha walked forward a few steps. As they stood, a strange mood started to coalesce.
Only a madman could fully understand such a mech.
Vincent was exactly such a person. His life was filled with mech. He was born with it, and had vowed to become the strongest fighter in Manalasuo, no, in the Milky Way. The first step was very close. He had already become the youngest mechnist in history, and the IG was undoubtedly a stage for him to break new ground.
It only took one look for those who knew to understand the man and the mechnist.
The way he moved looked unremarkable, but there was no opening.
The Solar System was really on the rise now, to suddenly have so many pros.
Unfortunately, they were about to be trampled beneath Manalasuo's foot. The Radiant Wheel King, this was one of the top 10 mecha in the galaxy.
In the immortal name of the empire, fight!
The pledge firmly in Vincent's heart, the mech roared to life. The Radiant Wheel King attacked. But at the same time, the Golden Wheel made its move as well.
The superconductor radiant wheel and the golden wheel clashed together. Ping…
Just one blow, and the whole arena was silent.
A super battle!
It looked like a mere attack, but in the moment of clashing, Vincent's two superconductor wheels had each attacked five times, while Wang Zheng's golden wheels had equally blocked five times.
Both mecha merely clashed as they passed, and hurriedly turned around. The first pass was evenly matched, but it was clear that the capabilities of the Radiant Wheel King were just that little bit better. It turned just that little bit faster, but the most fearful was yet to come.
Vincent continued turning his mech furiously and, without warning, unleashed one of Radiant Wheel King's killer moves – Straight Back to Hell!
The Radiant Wheel King's power peaked, and in a flash, only a blur could be seen. The Golden Wheel's turn rate was a bit slower, its power unable to keep up.
The superconductor radiant wheels were already rapidly approaching. Boom…
As light spilled everywhere, the Golden Wheel mech exploded with light from its top, middle, and bottom. In three passes of the wheel, each pass had delivered over 10 attacks. 30 attacks only took a little more than a second. The Golden Wheel parried in a blur, barely managing to defend against the first wave of attacks, but in a deafening blast like thunder, the Radiant Wheel King disappeared again.
His flanks!
Another attack to the top, middle, and bottom. An attack that left both attacker and defender with no space to breathe.
BOOM…
The gold light and white light meshed. Against such a blistering attack, the Golden Wheel actually managed to defend.
But…
BOOM…
Everybody was watching open-mouthed. The cyclical attack rate of the Radiant Wheel King was only one round, but Vincent had already executed three rounds.
Now it appeared behind the Golden Wheel mech, which had not finished turning around.
This was the terrifying aspect of the Radiant Wheel King. Its super capabilities, when complemented with superhuman operation, made a super soldier.
BOOM! KABOOM!
With an explosion, the two mecha flew back at the same time.
…
Blocked??
He had even blocked the attack to his back?
Vincent could hardly believe it. He had brought so much power in three tiers of three attacks. Even he himself could not have withstood it, but this person apparently did. Even against his unprotected back, he had been blocked!
Wang Zheng's palms were sweating slightly as well. It had been too long since he had such a satisfying fight. This was completely different from fighting scrubs, where no skill was needed. This was different. It was a pity that his opponent's moves were still too routine. If he had varied a little, Wang Zheng would have suffered a lot more.
402 Killing God!
Translator:Abyssruler | Editor: Lucas The two mecha were not very far apart. Vincent's gaze turned chilling. In that instant, he suddenly remembered the general's warnings. …What had made the general say that? His only interaction with Wang Zheng had been the revival match.
If… it was C-rank, no, even a B-rank could catch the general's attention, could it have been an A-rank?
Vincent smiled then, excited. He actually shivered in anticipation. There was actually someone who had beaten the A-rank difficulty mission?
If that was the case, then he need not hold back.
From 20 meters away, the Radiant Wheel King's superconductor wheels released a strong beam. Charging!
Lear's look turned flat. He was clear as to Radiant Wheel King's threat. At this moment, Wang Zheng had to do something, or he would die without question.
This was something that all the pros present understood. The Radiant Wheel King was not counted among the top 10 mecha for nothing. Once the superconductor radiant wheels finished charging, it could release over 50 attacks in an instant. Energy shields could not withstand such an attack, and such an irregular, wide-area attack could not be dodged. Most terrifying of all, a fully charged superconductor radiant wheel was deadly, enough to cut through most normal mecha in an instant, including a full-capacity energy shield. It could be said that this was the dream of Manalasuo scientists, realized in the Radiant Wheel King.
Once the superconductor radiant wheels were released, holding them back would be difficult. The mech would be immobilized for a few seconds. This was seen as inconsequential. All the enemies would have been dead by then.
Almost everybody felt that this was the moment for Wang Zheng to seize the opportunity and sabotage the attack. But the Golden Wheel mech's golden wheels also started to turn.
Damn, who do you think you are?
A tin can like the Golden Wheel, hoping to compare against one of the top 10 mecha in the Milky Way?
The difference was like heaven and earth. This was a sure-kill, and nobody could save him!
Pride sometimes led to one's downfall!
The Golden Wheel's rotation finished just in time. Faster by a hair's breadth, the Radiant Wheel King was ready. Although rapid charging would compromise the mech's capabilities for a while after, the faster firing time could be the difference between life and death on the battlefield.
The problem was, Wang Zheng's Golden Wheel had not made a move. F*ck, he was mad.
The Radiant Wheel King moved, all weapons blazing – an inescapable trap!
Whoosh whoosh whoosh…
The sky was filled with radiant wheels slicing towards Wang Zheng, thick and dense. Countless rotations that bewildered the eye. Activate your shields!
Zhang Shan was scared out of his wits. He had not expected the Radiant Wheel King to be this strong. There was no way out by air or underground… Damn, in this instant he wished he could give his own displacement ability to Wang Zheng, but even that would not have been enough, unless one could completely vanish.
Ping ping ping…
The chaotic wheels accumulated on the Golden Wheel mech's torso. It was about to be blasted to smithereens.
Vincent was already fully in the zone. The radiant wheels relentlessly continued their assault. Over 50 attacks was regarded as a pass, but he was Vincent, the youngest, strongest mechnist in Manalasuo's history.
His wheel count was over 100!
The radiant wheels filled the sky, sending light shooting everywhere. The Golden Wheel mech was completely obscured.
BOOM…
The Golden Wheel mech was advancing!
The radiant wheels had been perfectly blocked by the Golden Wheel, which was currently approaching with an unbelievable movement pattern. It was neither overlapping steps nor high frequency-steps, but some never-before-seen footwork which allowed the mech to maximize its defenses while keeping up its energy output. Most scary of all was Wang Zheng's sense of judgement, that every single wheel had been foiled.
This was…sick!
He had not even activated his energy shield!
It was not that Wang Zheng did not want to activate them, it was that he did not dare. In such a high-level fight, even being slightly slower meant certain death.
The opponent's sudden attack had actually awakened the wild side of Vincent. Day after day, his training never flagged. While others were resting, he was still training. He was a genius, and had long achieved mastery. But he wanted more. He wanted to be a god!
Kill!
Another violent explosion, the radiant wheels flying out. The wheel count had already exceeded 100. This was a horrifying class of attack.
But what was even more terrifying was Wang Zheng's defense. The Golden Wheel mech's super spin was perhaps the only thing capable of fending off such a revolving attack, fighting a spinning attack with another spin! It was an impenetrable defense that needed one to guard in five or more directions. Five levels of control?
Wang Zheng had displayed an inhuman defense, but it was useless. He was still subdued, and the distance between them shortened. The Radiant Wheel King's final killing blow appeared.
Two deadly superconductor radiant wheels had already been charged to the maximum.
At this step, they were unstoppable!
Vincent's eyes held a shred of pity. It was too bad that he had to die, but anybody who stood in Vincent's way, and Manalasuo's way, must die.
KILL!!!
WHOOSH~~~
Two superconductor radiant wheels had already formed themselves into the reaper's sickle, scything towards the Golden Wheel mech. There was no way out!
The Golden Wheel mech strafed to the side, but it was useless. There were more than 10 radiant wheels left arching towards him!
But in this instant, the golden wheels in Wang Zheng's hands finally moved. This was the first time that Golden Wheel mech had attacked.
Whoosh, Whoosh…
Trying to take him down together? That was impossible. Vincent immediately activated his energy shields, guarding himself completely. His position was unassailable.
But the Golden Wheel was actually attacking the Radiant Wheel.
At the same time, more than 10 radiant wheels spun towards Wang Zheng. At this moment, a miracle happened.
The Golden Wheel strafed sideways, and the radiant wheels all vanished.
BOOM BOOM…
The Golden Wheel mech and the Radiant Wheel mech collided, and were sent flying.
Both mecha gathered their energy at the same time. Vincent completed his preparations, and received the radiant wheels solidly, but was still inadvertently forced back a step by the powerful rush.
At this time, the Golden Wheel had just dodged the radiant wheels and was off-balance, but the golden wheels were returning… would he be cut to pieces by his own wheels???
Shing, shing…
The golden wheels returned to hand with a light touch, stabilizing the core of the Golden Wheel mech without the slightest pause.
Whoosh, whoosh…
The golden wheels were flying out!
Everybody was ogling at the sight. Kong Zhan's face was ashen. The nightmares were real…
It really was happening!
Even Vincent was numb with incomprehension. This was impossible! Nobody could do this!
BOOM…
Without time to evade, he had no choice but to block them with his arms… BOOM~~~
The energy shields declined to 20 percent, the golden wheels flying out tilted. Vincent was still a mechnist after all. He used the impact collision to move backward at speed, but the Golden Wheel was already charging at him.
He attacked without even glancing at the two deadly, whistling golden wheels. Oh my God…
This was over!
The Golden Wheel mech, in its testing phase, had incidents where pilots who lost focus had been severely injured by their own golden wheels.
Golden Wheel made a strange stutter step, and the mech advanced slightly. The two golden wheels returned to his hand and, in the next instant, flew out again.
Not only had there been no pause, but the revolution was no weaker; in fact, it seemed even stronger!!!
Vincent could not believe his own eyes. What he was witnessing destroyed his own dignity and pride, because he had tried it before. This was something that nobody in the world could have accomplished!
Not being pushed back, and with no pause in his own timing!
This was impossible!
BOOM…
Energy shields exploded…
The Radiant Wheel King was finished. Just at this moment, a distortion appeared in the space in front of Radiant Wheel King, and then two golden wheels were deflected back.
Saved at the brink of death!
Vincent's Ability X. This was his last strength. The two golden wheels had been completely turned around, and flew viciously back at the Golden Wheel mech.
It was his last chance.
But the Golden Wheel mech had no intention of stopping, and again raised its two hands.
Vincent gritted his teeth. Nobody in the world could receive a Golden Wheel like that!
Ching…
However, Wang Zheng's Golden Wheel had actually received the wheels and then thrown them back out again! Although the movements were slowed by a little, it didn't matter! With his mechnist's insight, he could feel the pause. 0.1 seconds?
The Golden Wheel, for the third time, rushed at the Radiant Wheel with a whizz.
At this moment, it was not just Vincent who had lost hope, but everybody watching as well.
The Radiant Wheel King did not move and did not hide. Perhaps only death would free him at this point.
His dreams had been completely destroyed.
BOOM…
The Golden Wheel pierced through the Radiant Wheel King, ricocheting off the energy forcefield crazily, but obediently returning to Wang Zheng's hand.
Crumble…
Neat cuts appeared on the burnished silver of the Radiant Wheel King, dissecting it cleanly into top, middle, and bottom.
Deathly silence. All expressions were frozen.
Was he even human?
The golden wheels slowly turned, returning to the Golden Wheel mech's shoulders.
Was this really the shame of Manalasuo???
This was an invincible god!
403 Unable to be Understood

Bole closed his eyes. He knew things would turn out this way. Even if he wanted to selfishly hope for a miracle, he wished that he had forfeited this match as well, just like the Silver Snake Coalition did. Because to Vincent, this was an unmitigated disaster.
It was very likely that the genius of Manalasuo would never recover from this.
Vincent was carted off by the paramedics, his eyes closed. The wounds on his body were unimportant compared to the emotional scarring. His tears rolled down. No matter how many injuries he had sustained in training, no matter what happened, he had never once despaired. He had believed that effort alone would see him through to the top.
That was until now, when his world had crumbled.
The Atlanteans were silent. In this moment, even warriors from the mighty Atlantis could do nothing but silently convey their respect.
It was such a shock when an unbeatable move was beaten. It was something that every warrior wanted to experience.
The judges were silent. This needed no extraordinary brainpower to see that the Golden Wheel would be a celebrated mech from now on.
How could the Radiant Wheel Hell be evaded!?
This was a calculation that even computers would give up on!
This was a farce. Damn, was this really the Solar System team?
All the Manalasuo members had been turned to stone. They had not comprehended their loss yet. The mighty Manalasuo Empire, fallen at the top 32.
A shameful 0-4.
It only began to dawn when the judge announced the result. The hall erupted into shattering cheers.
This was a miracle!
This was a battle god!
The Caragal members exchanged glances. Suddenly, they saw the joy in their comrades' eyes.
Because their luck was really too good. They had not needed to fight the Solar System for top 16 placements and, after entering the top 16, they would not be matched up against the monster that was the Solar System either.
Damn, this was no dark horse, this was definitely one of the strongest teams of this IG!
Sun God Achilles, King Lear Chronos, and of course the most terrifying of all, their leader.
What kind of person was this?!
When Wang Zheng made his appearance, his teammates and the representative group had already swarmed up and threw him into the air.
Meng Ao and the rest almost rushed out as well, but as generals they had to maintain some dignity, and could not be as boisterous as these youths. But their faces sported identical, childlike grins. The day they had waited for had finally come!
Such a person!
Someone who could bring Earth and the Solar System to rise to power!
No, more accurately, someone who could shake the entire Milky Way!
Achilles was mild as always, while Lear still kept his haughty manner.
To have one such genius was a heaven-send, and now there were three in the Solar System team.
They would definitely take the place by storm!
The various zones were more or less coming to conclusions as well. The entire IG, especially the ace teams, were shook when they heard of Manalasuo being swept 0-4.
Everybody's first reaction was that the scores had been flipped!
Manalasuo had been one of the invited teams for this competition!
The IG's evaluation could not have been wrong. They were all-rounded, and had ability to back their reputation. Especially at this stage, in a best of seven, there was no such thing as coincidence anymore.
So! Lar! Sys! Tem! So! Lar! Sys! Tem!
Ye Zisu and Yan Xiaosu were beside themselves with happiness as well. They had had full confidence in Wang Zheng, but had felt helplessness when they witnessed the horrifying attack of Radiant Wheel King. But Wang Zheng had actually dispelled the unbelievable attack, displaying the highest level of both attack and defense.
The Atlanteans had made an exit, but as they left, it was clear that they had a different look in their eyes.
This Solar System team had the minimum ability to warrant a match with them, if they could make it that far.
Max led his team over to offer their congratulations. They had actually triumphed over the great Manalasuo, an extraordinary outcome.
What most shook Max was that after such a battle, Wang Zheng was not exhausted. Despite the sheen of sweat, his breathing seemed largely in control.
Was this a robotic monster?
Max and his team did not intrude for long, because they knew the Solar System must be eagerly looking forward to their celebration. This was the furthest they had made it in the IG.
But because of this battle, the Solar System would not meet a similar reception as they had enjoyed in the past. They would be scouted and analyzed by their opponents with a magnifying glass, in order to identify their weaknesses.
Nobody was flawless. No team was unbeatable. Not only the Solar System team, but even Caragal was the same. Entering the top 16, they had lost all appetite for speculation. Only intelligence and strength would carry them forward.
In his excitement, Yan Xiaosu had forgotten about those friends faraway on Earth.
The competition had been too mind-blowing, causing Yan Xiaosu to forget that he was tasked with conveying the news. At this moment, Yao Ailun and Old Deer were commentating a friendly match. While they were working, they were still cheering for the Solar System Federation team that was fighting on faraway Aslan.
A million-strong crowd was a rare phenomenon in other CT zones. This was definitely a heated atmosphere. This also helped to improve Solon's position with central headquarters, especially when it was known that Skeleton was actually a student of Ares College. It was a legend brought to life, and now Wang Zheng was competing in the IG. Once word got out, they would no longer need to live in their dreams anymore.
Only, when they were competing for the top 16, the Solar System team had matched up against Manalasuo. Even those who barely knew what was going on could see that the game was up. As long as they did not lose too badly, it would be fine. In this regard, Earthlings had only too much experience. Not just losses, but they would often be destroyed and humiliated.
Old Deer eyed Yao Ailun, who shook his head slightly. He looked at his own Skylink, but there was no news. A strange feeling gripped them.
If they had won, it was impossible that there would be no word. Unless they had lost, and very badly…
Old Deer's expression darkened briefly, but quickly returned to normal. He was a professional caster, and had to control his emotions. "Till now we have no further information. Manalasuo is one of the strongest countries in the Milky Way. Their mech research is leading edge, and the best mech pilots on Manalasuo can receive the title of 'mechnist.' Regardless of the result, we'll count it a victory as long as our members can fight proudly on behalf of the Solar System!"
At that moment, Ares College was fretting. "What is that bastard Yan Xiaosu playing at? Win or lose, he's got to tell us!"
"Chen Xiu, go bug him. What's the situation? There wouldn't have been a death, would there?"
Chen Xiu was very anxious as well. At this moment, the Skylink rang. The news had arrived. Chen Xiu was stunned.
Those around him swarmed over. What expression was this? Had someone died?
But everybody who saw the result was stunned too. Their initial reaction was… could this be a mistake?
After a while, Yan Xiaosu's silhouette appeared, with his hands raised in celebration. "Just at this moment, a miracle has happened. The majestic Solar System fought wonderfully. We swept the Manalasuo team 4-0. It was a pity that this paltry score was incapable of reflecting our true strength. This is truly a miracle!"
The whole place erupted. Very quickly, the whole school was afire with the news. The Solar System Federation team had swept the Manalasuo Empire 4-0, and entered the top 16. At first, everybody thought it was fake news, but they soon realized the truth of it.
Solon went through the official channels for proof, but all he obtained was the score as well.
But the CT official website had a new announcement: Congratulations to the Solar System Federation team, sweeping Manalasuo in a 4-0 and entering the IG top 16!
Old Deer was still commentating. Yao Ailun had already leapt out of his chair. Old Deer was staring agape. Damn, Brother, youre also half-professional yourself, control yourself already.
"Old Deer, we swept Manalasuo 4-0!"
"F*ck! As expected, we… What did you say? We swept Manalasuo???"
"That's right! Hahaha, ladies and gentlemen, the news has just arrived. The Solar System Federation team swept Manalasuo 4-0. Damn me, who would still dare to belittle us? In the fourth match, our captain, Wang Zheng, who is also our Skeleton, completely destroyed the Manalasuo super genius, the youngest mechnist in history, Vincent!"
At that moment, the entire CT forum broadcast room, military forum broadcast, etc. all erupted. Damn, this was a dream. Even one's best daydreams could not compare! There wasn't even a need to mention YY 1 !
Both sides in the friendly match had stopped. Then the strangest thing happened. Both mecha were hugging each other tightly in celebration…
But who could blame them?
We were members of the mighty Solar System Federation!
