Chapter 1 - I want to help

Lilith is a fairy living in a magical land of Pnohm. All of the fairies in Pnohm are known as man helpers and aiding their needs, all except Lilith. She is known for her failures in her attempt to help humans. She means no harm but she really suck in doing a job. All of the fairies avoid her and call her useless, her family also left her because they can't handle the shame that Lilith brought to them; that's when she decided to go to the forbidden dark forest where she heard that a lot of creatures are asking for help. In her journey, she first met a snake. Lilith asked what the snake was doing in the forest, the snake then answered her question and told her that he was cast out from his tribe for being legless because a human cut it. Lilith felt sorry for the snake and want to help so she offered to give her legs instead. But the moment the snake received legs, he ran as fast as he can.

Next, Lilith met a slug catching his breath. She asked why it is so tired and the slug answered that he was once a butterfly but a frog ate his wings. Lilith want to be of use so she offered her wings to the slug, but just like the snake, the moment it received her wings , the slug flied as high as he can.

Now the flightless and legless fairy walked using her hands and in doing so, she then met a worm struggling to get away from the ants surrounding him. Lilith helped the worm but it complained that the ants will bully her again unless he had an arm to protect her from them. Lilith didn't hesitate and gave her hands to the worm, and as soon as the worm received her hands, it started killing the ants and even pushing Lilith away.

The muddy Lilith rolled until she bumped into a tree where a bear was lying beside it. She then asked what the bear was doing and the bear told her that he was so hungry that he cannot move anymore. Lilith offered her body to be eaten by the bear but as soon as the bear ate her body, it wasn't contented and threaten to also eat her whole head. Lilith said yes but as soon as the bear was about to grab her head, a troll took Lilith and ran away from the bear.

Lilith asked why the troll did that and the troll told her that he heard Lilith will help anyone in need. Lilith said yes and asked what he needed help with. The troll said that his eyes was lost and he is only relying on his sense of sound to get away with danger. Lilith offered his eyes to the troll but as soon as the troll received Lilith's eyes, he told Lilith "thank you for being a fool and listening to my lie and everyone else's". The troll left but Lilith didn't feel alone. She want to shed tears of joy but couldn't cause she doesn't have eyes. Want to clap her hands but couldn't, want to jump but she's lacking legs. She wan't to express extreme happiness through actions, but she's now missing the body parts needed to do so. She was alone in the middle of the forest but she was filled with happiness because this is the first time she heard words of gratitude.
