Throwing the phone on my bed in frustration, I let out an exasperated sigh. Anger bubbled beneath my skin; anger towards my mother. Somehow my intuition led me to her for my father's leave.

Knowing her moves all too well, if there was ever a chess piece that got in her way, her first instinct would be to knock it down without a second thought.

I got a glance at myself in the mirror in front. Creased forehead, clenched jaw and blazing eyes. I pushed a stray piece of hair and contorted my expression into a calmer, more relaxed one.

The fading sound of a doorbell rang in my ears and I felt them perk. A smirk played on my lips at the thought of ceding my fiery emotions onto someone else. Some may peg me as a sadist if they knew that a sense of satisfaction filled me at the sight of her flustered and speechless against the wall.

I made sure to make my presence known with the sound of my heels clicking, the three parties below me turning their heads to my direction.

"You may escort only Mr. Montgomery, Terrance. Whitney here will accompany me to my room."

Her reaction to my orders was enough to distract me from my real problems. I smiled sweetly at the girl, masking the mischief that lied between my intentions.

Putting out a hand for her to take, I sensed the hesitation she felt when she looked back at her father who most likely stood unaware of my reputation. She took it, nonetheless and I wasted no time dragging her up to my quarters.

"Where are we going?" her voice wobbled with worry.

"Weren't you paying attention? I told you, my chambers." the wicked game that brewed in my head enthralled me. I pushed open the double doors for her and granted access to my bedroom.

Blush-colored walls flashed in our eyes. A large, Queen Anne bed that took most people's breath away at first sight was positioned in the center. To the left was my walk-in closet and Victorian-esque vanity. The floor was coated with thick, white faux fur. A crystal chandelier daintily hung above us, lighting up our field of vision.

I saw the way her eyes gleamed in amazement at my chambers. Her open mouth spoke loud of the awe she was in. "Come on, help me get ready for bed." she froze, staring at me with furrowed brows.

I begun to walk toward my closet, pulling open the white doors. Inside were various cabinets and sections of my bags, shoes, accessories and clothing. At the end was a full-body mirror and a round, glass table with a pile of fashion magazines stacked on one another.

Making my way to the nightwear drawer, next to my lingerie, I grabbed a red, silk slip dress with black, lacy detail at the top.

"Can you help me unzip my dress?" I peered at her over my shoulder, stifling a smirk that threatened to show. Without a care to look, I knew she was getting worked up.

Soft footsteps pattered on the rug on the way to me. Gracefully twisting and throwing up my hair into a makeshift bun, I felt her hot, shallow breaths on the nape of my neck as my zipper slowly went down.

The cold air hit my bare back, my dress pooling between my legs. I was left only in a pair of matching black underwear. Letting my chocolate curls fall, I turned to smile while fluttering my lashes, "Thank you."

I heard a slight choking sound come from behind, amusing me. The nightie reached a few inches above my knees, the saturation of color complementing my smooth, supple skin. The dimmer lighting in the closet adding to the tension.

Her gaze shifted to other parts of the room, obviously avoiding any sort of eye contact with me. However, I found it adorable seeing her riled up, utterly lost and overwhelmed in dealing with her emotions.

"Is it too hot in here?" testing her, I asked. "I can turn the heat down if you can't take it." I offered with a smile, picking up the remote.

She rapidly shook her head, visibly turning crimson "No-no I'm fine, thanks."

"You sure?" my head cocked to the side, wanting to see how long she could handle the situation, "You look a little...flushed."

"I'm okay, really." she attempted to dismiss, clenching her eyes shut before opening them.

We went back inside and I took a seat on the edge of my bed whilst I studied her. She provided a good amount of distance between us for her personal reasons. Her foot silently tapped on the ground, keeping her arms crossed to stay guarded.

"Can I offer you some refreshments then? Some wine? Chocolate? Strawberries? I don't want to seem like a terrible host."

"Water, please. If that's okay."

Nodding, I picked up the intercom that connected to the kitchen. I requested for a bottle of sparkling water and two glasses.

"You can sit instead of just standing there, you know." I told her, raising both my brows.

She muttered a small apology, choosing to sit on the bench at the end of my bed. I picked up a monthly issue of Vogue and flipped through the pages. A couple of seconds later, Aliyah, one of the maids, entered with a silver tray in hand.

She poured us two glasses of the sparkling water as asked and Whitney stopped to express her gratitude before bowing her head and leaving.

I continued to skim through the magazine while she fiddled on the ends of her dress, glancing up every once in awhile. Her phone vibrated in her purse, and was washed with relief when she hovered over the button.

"It's my dad, he says it's time to go," she looked up at me through her lashes. "T-Thank you for your hospitality, Blair."

I got up, the captain following suit. Showing her out, I replied, "It was my pleasure."

"I'll see you tomorrow, then." she stood outside, gnawing the inside of her cheek.

"Indeed. Good night, Whitney."

"Good night, Blair."
