"Hey Papa, I've missed you." Zunnie hugged her dad and lightly peck his cheek. He seemed a bit older than the last time she had seen him.
After her lunch date with Eyan, he stated that she should speak with their dad about Alex before the media began making stories. Due to his popularity, Alex on many occasions appeared in the media. Zunnie knew that if her father found out about her and Alex through the media, he would be mortified.
During their lunch earlier in the week, she informed Eyan that Alex asked her to marry him and that she had agreed. Eyan had been shocked and asked if she was okay with this fast movement. Even if he thought they were moving too quickly he still supported her. After all, she was not a child anymore.
At first, Zunnie could tell he was disappointed, but after chatting, he encouraged her to follow her heart.

Currently standing before her father, Zunnie became anxious. She had no idea how dinner would turn out. The good thing was, Eyan would be there to help her if her dad got mad. Deep down she knew he would agree with it because he wanted her to get married soon and probably didn't care who it was since he sent her on too many awkward blind dates. But she was still frightened as she wondered how he would react to the sudden revelation.
"Pumpkin, glad you could come home for dinner." He greeted her warmly.
"Dad, have you been exercising? You look tired today." She asked, eyeing him thoroughly. His complexion appeared paler than usual and his eyes were droopy. Zunnie furrowed her brow, a showed him a worried expression.
"Don't worry pumpkin, I'm exercising and eating well. So tell me, have you been seeing anyone? I'm worried about you working too much."
"Is that why you look so tired?"
"Mhm," Wan Bai nodded as he tried to ease his daughter's worry.
"If you must know Papa, I am seeing someone. I actually wanted to talk to you about it after dinner."
"Ahh, should we open the best wine. You've finally decided to stop being stubborn. We don't have to wait till we're done eating. Tell me my pumpkin."
"Ha-ha…" Zunnie chuckled at his remark.
"Who is it?"
"Promise you won't get mad?" Zunnie pouted innocently.
Wan Bai chuckled when he heard her.
"Pumpkin, no matter who you love, your Papa will be happy. Now tell me, who is my son-in-law?"
"Umm, Alexander Zi..." She avoided his gaze after she said his name.
"Ha-ha, that explains why he spent so much money at my gala. I should have guessed."
Mr. Bai was amused upon hearing the name. Old Mr. Zi was a business friend of his and they had done many work-related deals together. Although Mr. Bai knew nothing about Alex, he was not oblivious to the grounds Alex had been shaking in the business world.
He reached out and touch his daughter's hands. When her eyes met his, Wan Bai said;
"Why did it have to be him. Are you out of your mind?"
Zunnie's eyes grew wide with shock. She really wanted her dad's approval.
Eyan who had been quiet for most of the dinner spoke.
"Dad come on. What's wrong with him?"
Seeing their reaction Wan Bai burst into laughter. He relished in teasing his children. They were both dumbfounded staring at him.
"I'm kidding, I'm kidding. You have my blessing pumpkin. Eyan you can breathe now. Ha-ha."
Zunnie who had been close to tears run to her dad's side and squeezed him in a hug.
"I love you, I love you so much, Papa Bai."
"Eh Em… Dad aren't you too old to be fooling around like this?" Eyan couldn't help smiling.
"No way. I'm not that old. Don't try to age me Eyan. I will disown you."
"Ohh, you've said that so many times. I should really be careful from now on. Sis, you're forgetting something."
"Ohh yeah. Dad Alex asked me to marry him." Zunnie was gleeful. She had been worried when he objected but now she knew he was only teasing her, she couldn't wait to tell Alex.
"Bring him to dinner next week. I want to meet the man who seduced my daughter's pure soul."
"Okay dad, we should all have dinner. Bro, invite Selina as well."
"But pumpkin, are you not concerned about being in the media? Alex is a mogul in the business world and he's constantly in the media. How are you going to handle it?" Wan Bai asked. He gave her his approval, but he was still apprehensive knowing the media may cause her trouble.
"I don't know. When the time comes I will think of something. Don't worry dad, Alex is a great guy."
Even though she was aware of the problems that would arise being married to Alex, Zunnie was strong and not easily bullied. She and Alex had agreed to keep their relationship private to protect her. She knew he would protect her and her family because she trusted in his words.
