Standing there was a middle aged man. He didn't move or say anything. His eyes never left the man standing his baby daughter.
He's in his sixties, but he looks like he's in his fifties. One could tell that he's in good health even though he's kinda old.
Standing behind him are the servants. All of them carry big smiles on their faces. They're just so happy to welcome their Queen home after a long time.
Mrs. Smith let go of her daughter and took a good look at her.
"I'm glad you're finally coming home." Then she turned around to face Mr. Smith, smiling happily "aren't you going to greet your only daughter?"
Mrs. Smith's words brought back Mr. Smith to his senses.
He gave out a small smile on his face "welcome home Mu."
Aylin Lui ran up to her father and threw herself in his chest and wrapped her arms really tight on her father's body.
"Daddy!"
Aylin Lui looked up at her dad and jokingly said "it seems like you're not that happy to see me after parting for a few years."
She let go of her father and pouted sadly " I shouldn't have come home this soon. I should've taken a few more years to come back."
"Clack"
"Ahh…" Aylin Lui yells out in pain while holding her forehead.
"Why did you finger flick me daddy?"
"If you're going to talk nonsense again, I'll use more strength next time." Even though he sounds mean, his eyes are full of love.
Aylin Lui pretending to be angry "I'm not a ten years old girl anymore. I'm all grown up now."
Seeing her daughter pouting and angry face makes Mr. Smith's mood lift up a little.
He smiles "you little brat! ! I don't know about that. You talk and act like a five years old girl instead of a grown up lady so I thought you're still a little kid."
Acting like a baby Aylin Lui pouting more "daddy!!!"
She knew her family will always treat her like a little kid no matter how old she is. That's why she always acts like a baby in front of them.
Ethan Chance can't help but smile seeing his little wife being lovely in front of her family. Ethan Chance could tell that they're a loving family and he can tell that his wife is being herself right now.
When she's with Ethan Chance she's always serious and tough. But when she's with her family, she's just like an innocent little girl.
"Hehe…"
The sound of the chuckles brings Aylin Lui back to the present. She turned around and saw that her mother and Ethan Chance were smiling ear to ear.
The servants couldn't help but feel happy with the father and daughter show in front of them. All of them are smiling happily.
Noticing that few people were missing "where are they?"
"Sighs…" patting Aylin Lui's shoulder twice "You know. Nothing changes."
Hearing Mr. Smith's words make Aylin Lui a little sad "Shouldn't they at least leave everything behind and welcome me? I've gone for a long time and this is what I got when I come back?"
Clenching one of her hands, and a pair of burning eyes, Aylin Lui whispers "I'll make you guys pay."
Since Mr. Smith was standing next to Aylin Lui, he heard every word that she whispered under her teeth.
He didn't say anything. He chuckles a little and just hopes that his seven sons will be ok.
To him, it's their fault for making NO time to welcome their baby sister home.
He decided not to help them if his baby daughter breaks their legs.
'Well… I didn't let them know since they're not coming home much because of their work. It's their fault for not coming home everyday. Only the people in the palace know, not outside. I make sure Logan keeps everyone's mouths shut about the news about my baby daughter coming home.'
"Hahaha…" just thinking about it make Mr. Smith can't help but laugh out loud.
Aylin Lui was stunned by the sudden laughing of her father.
With confusion "What makes you so happy that you're laughing this loud?"
"Oh! This old man is too happy to see his daughter."
Without doubt, she believes her father's words "don't say that daddy. You're still young. You look like you're in your forties."
"Hahaha!"
Hearing Aylin Lui words, Mr. Smith can't help but laugh out loud once again.
"I don't know what to do with you and your sweet tongue."
"I'm just stating the facts."
Seeing the father and daughter talking and laughing happily by themselves make Mrs. Smith felt jealous.
'She's my daughter too. Not only yours. I want to talk and laugh with her too. Why are you taking her by yourself?'
Mrs. Smith couldn't waste any more seconds and walked up to them. Mr. and Mrs. Smith hugging Aylin Lui together. The three of them are so happy to reunite again after separating for a long time.
Mrs.Smith gently breaks free from her husband and her daughter hug. She took one of Aylin Lui's hands in hers, patting it gently. She smiles then glares at Ethan Chance "aren't you going to introduce your friend to us?"
Aylin Lui was so happy to see her family after a long time that she almost forgot about Ethan Chance. If not because of her mother remider, she might end up leaving him behind.
Her eyes met Ethan Chance's. His eyes were looking at her gently and lovely.
"Cough…. Cough…."
Aylin Lui coughs twice to hide her embarrassment. She walked to where Ethan Chance was standing and took his hand in her.
With a serious face "dad, mom… I would like you guys to meet someone."
Then she started walking and Ethan Chance moved along with her. She can feel that Ethan Chance's palm is sweating.
'He must be nervous to be in a new place where he has never been before.'
She squeezed his hand letting him know that everything will be ok and she's here with him and will always be there for him.
Ethan Chance let out a small chuckle quietly and squeezed her hand back letting her know that he's ok. And Ethan Chance felt a little relaxed after that.
This is Aylin Lui's first time bringing home a husband to meet her family. She hopes that her family will accept him and treat him nicely.
With a serious face "Dad, Mom. Meet Ethan, my husband."
Mr. and Mrs. Smith was taken aback about what their baby daughter just said. They can't believe their ears.
Mr. Smith was a little mad "What the hell did you just say?"
His one and only daughter just married anyone out there and she didn't let them know anything at all.
He then glared at Luis who was standing not so far from them with his head down.
Luis was supposed to report everything about his daughter to him. But it seems like he reported some of it. Mr. Smith knows that Luis is his daughter's private secretary in the palace and she's the one who pays him. But Luis shouldn't hide anything from them.
Luis knew this was going to happen. He didn't report this big news because he, himself, just found out about it right now too. He felt ashamed of himself.
Luis wishes that he's half as good as his mistress.
Luis knows a lot about Aylin Lui and there's still a lot about her that he doesn't know.
"Dad, don't get mad. He got nothing to do with this. None of the people from here knew about this."
Mrs. Smith grabbed Mr. Smith hand "Let's talk inside. Mu must be tired from her trip."
Mrs. Smith doesn't feel happy about her baby marriage thing. But she decides to accept him as long as he makes her baby daughter happy and treats her well.
Sighs "Alright." He then turned and walked inside the palace. Everyone follows Mr. Smith inside the palace.
