"How much?"
This was the first time Mark had seen a girl so arrogant. Most of his encounters with girls are during his work being the cashier of the boss's store. And although each encounter is brief, at least they weren't this haughty.
The man originally buying the steamed buns grabbed them back and told the girl, "Don't you know the rules, lady? There. Is. A. Line. Go back there and wait for your turn!" The man then slapped the lady's hand and turned around. The man proceeded to hand out his payment for the steamed buns. But just as he was about to hand out his payment, the sound of the air whipping and ripping apart sounded next to his ears.
*whoosh*
The man holding the steam buns was literally kicked into motion by a guard that was standing behind the lady. The guard's face has an infuriated look and seemed like he really want to kill the man. The reason? Mark doesn't know, but he has a feeling it has something to do with the fact that the man buying the steamed buns slapped the lady's hand.
The guard was about to continue to beat the living hell to the man buying the steamed buns but just as he was about to dash in, the bird by the entrance of the shop has landed on the guard's shoulder. No one saw it coming, no one saw it fly, yet it seemed as if it had always been there in the first place. At that same moment when the bird appeared on the guard's shoulder did the guard stop in his tracks. He was frozen solid as if he was paused in time. Sweat began to drip all over the guard's body and he quivered so intensely, a few moments later, the guard dropped to his knees.
Then the bird spoke, "Who caused this trouble? Someone is making me lose business here, if that someone continues to cause trouble I will definitely poop on their heads." The bird then flapped its wings and flew towards the door.
The lady was shocked, so shocked about what just happened. First, someone dared to touch her, then that someone reprimanded her and slapped her hand as if she was some kind of pest. Third was that her trusted guards were actually useless against a little talking bird. She was shocked indeed.
Hannah Reiz is definitely a known and prominent figure, yet in this store, she got the most surprising things yet different things in one event. She had been pampered throughout her whole life, with everyone following his orders. Because of this kind of upbringing, she had unconsciously started to treat everyone around her as stewards, someone who'd follow her every orders.
That was why when she asked her guards that she wanted to eat, they immediately asked around and managed to arrive towards this famous steamed bun shop. But sadly, it looked like they didn't ask how to buy it.
Hannah's face was red due to anger. One could imagine smoke coming out of her ears. because of how red her face is.
"You can't even handle a little bird! How useless can you be!" Said Hannah as she walked towards the bird on her fallen guard.
But she hasn't even walked a meter when her other guard stopped her with a look of horror into his face. The other guards also walked up to Hannah and carried her towards one of the chairs.
"What are you doing? Let me down! Kill that bird!" Shouted Hannah. But the guards didn't listen to her and still carried her.
"Why are you not following my orders? I can tell my dad to kill you when we get home if you still won't let me down!" Hannah continued her bickering yet not one guard listened to her and still carried her.
When they reached a chair they immediately put Hannah down to make her sit on the chair and surrounded her to make sure she didn't get out.
Mark saw all this happen and was shocked. How strong was a level 8 warrior? He only heard rumors about the bird and the owner. He heard that the owner must be stronger than the beast to tame it. If the bird was able to make a guard that was able to kick a person so far drop within a few second, how strong can the master be?
"I want to be that strong! Maybe by then I can have the strength to erase these symbols on my forehead!" Mark told himself.
He already had a plan. Try to enter the school, look for information about the symbols, try to erase it. Mark still doesn't know what these symbols mean and do, but he guesses that it must be bad. The color red usually relates to something bad, and those symbols were glaring at him.
An hour later did Mark got his steamed bun.
Mark then walked out of the steamed bun store and walked towards the boss's store.
