I toss and turn in my bed, nightmares torturing me in my sleep. Faceless men coming in the innumerable, ready to chop me to pieces if I were to stop even for a second. I slash and chop, parry and stab but it is as if they will never end. I feel myself getting tired, my muscles ache from continuous use. my muscles spasm as I fall at last, a kick to the knee takes me down. I look up fearfully as a sword wielding enemy looks down at me. He raises his sword and prepares to bring it down when I hear his voice, "you will never leave" before my head is chopped off.

I wake in a fury, breathing hard and sweating, only after it's over do I realize the enemy's I fought were my boyfriend. My boyfriend was Chris Weatherford, local bad boy at our very large school. He is known to be clingy in a relationship and a floating spirit when he is single. Every girl wants to date him and every girl knows better, except for me.

I get out of bed after realizing it was 2am, I knew I wasn't going back to sleep so I might as well do some homework. I get my homework binder out when I hear a voice. It's not one I recognize and it's right behind me. I slowly turn around to find nothing, nothing but my bed and my rocking chair in the corner suspiciously rocking back and forth.

I smell the smell of sage, making me very tired and I hear the voice again but clearer... "it is you, you are chosen." I didn't know this would cause such a big change in my life but I fell asleep.
