Maya had already arrived while they were waiting for Chalres and Ripun at the venue.
The club was a high fi place and a hub for all age groups from higher strata of society. This party was hosted by the third most influential business tycoon, Mr. Chris Clinton who was a man in his mid thirties but still unmarried. He was quite a handsome man worthy of many women's aspirations. He was tall, fair and handsome though Chalres was the most sought eligible bachelor in this race. Adam was also there with another woman .
Charles reached there with Ripun who was holding him by his arm. She was astonished to see the place. It was beyond her imagination though she had herself been to many places but never did she get to visit such a place!
"Hello Charles! How are you doing? "asked Adam while shaking hands with Chalres.
He looked at Ripun and took her hand to kiss but just then Charles intervened and took her to a side away from his contact. Adam was shocked to see him doing so as Charles had never ever shown such inclination towards any woman except Vanessa. But he didn't say much except passing a smile. Even Ripun couldn't understand anything.
"That was weird, Charles! I don't get you.He was just welcoming us"said Ripun looking at Charles who looked annoyed.
"Huh !To you it was a welcome but I know this....... "murmerd Chrlaes which Ripun couldn't understand.
"Anyways, What would you like to have, darling? "asked Charles when a waiter came to serve drinks. Maya and Mark had joined them too. They were looking quite happy. Ripun was looking at them as they formed a beautiful pair.
"Umm anything that Maya recommends. " said Ripun who was an ignorant person when it came to drinking. She was not a routine drinker but had done it very rarely when her husband insisted her to join. Albert found her too cute when she drank and couldn't bear more than two drinks and got drunk.
"Never ever drink with other men".said Albert when one of his colleagues had offered her a drink. She remembered.
"Ripun.... Ripun.... where are you lost? Have it".
Ripun suddenly came back to her senses as she was totally lost in her memories.
"Ah, yes, thank you Maya. "said Ripun while taking the drink. Maya knew that Ripun needed a break otherwise she could completely tire herself out by thinking about her past memories.That's why she asked the waitor to get her two drinks mixed, strong enough to spin her mind. For a human, two drinks were enough to knock them out of their senses whereas vampires would not even budge.
Chalres was quiet and observing her as he wanted to get Ripun out of all these worries. He wanted to kill her husband who made her cry her eyes out. But sadly he couldn't do so.
He was not from his world.
Charles met one of his important delegates, so he took a short leave from the table where they were sitting. Ripun drank all the content of the glass in one go. Mark had left with Chalres too while Maya was busy talking with another vampiress who held a high place in their town. Ripun found many eyes watching her so she drank another glass from the table which Maya had left there.
A man who was constantly looking at Ripun, came and sit with her seeing her all alone and drunk. Ripun didn't feel comfortable while having him sitting beside her so she thought of moving from that place to another. She felt that she wasn't so drunk but when she got up to walk.... she couldn't keep her balance. she stumbled but was able to take care of it in time. She thought of using the rest room.
When she started going to that direction which was upstairs, the man silently followed her. As she went through the corridor, leaning herself with wall as she wasn't able to walk properly due to the drinks she had gulped in one go,she found someone pulling her towards him with his arm around her waist. She struggled hard to move out of his grip but she couldn't. She yelled at the man to let her go but all in vain. He was also a vampire who was strong enough to control her. Ripun strived hard to come out of his grip but she couldn't. The Man tried to place a kiss on her lips holding her tight with her bosom stuck to his chest. She cried for help but no one was able to hear her. The corridor was an adjacent way to the main corridor.... so there was no one besides them both. Besides due to the loud music, there was none who could come and help.
Charles came back to the table but did not find anyone there. He saw Maya talking to one of the invited guests but Ripun was nowhere to be found. Being a pure blooded vampire, he had sharp sense of shearing and sight. He felt something was wrong. He moved fast towards upstairs as he could hear a light noise. When he reached at the main corridor,he didnt find anyone there but he moved to the adjacent corridor..... which led to the stairs further leading to the rooftop. He quickly rushed there to only find Ripun lying on the floors with her clothes torn from her arm side and a stranger hovering his body over her ,trying to rape..... Charles couldn't bear the sight, he felt loosing his control over his mind. Meanwhile Mark also reached there. Charles went there and lifted the man's body with one hand in rage and smashed him against the wall. The man wailed in pain. It didn't fade his anger. He lifted the man up again and put his hand in his chest and plucked his heart out. The man was dead.
Ripun who had been watching the whole scene, lost her consciousness.
Seeing her lying unconscious on the floor,Chalres picked her up in his arms and took her to the lift beside the stairs to move out of the place. Maya had wiped the traces of whole incident with her powers and she with Mark had also joined them. Maya took a water bottle and splashed some water drops on Ripun's face on reaching the parking lot while she was still in Charles' arms. Ripun woke up and clenched hard to Charles' shirt as if she was afraid of something.
"Calm down Ripun, you are safe. "said Charles.
"But the man is dead. Yy..... you killed him. I put you also in trouble. I am sorry. "cried Ripun.
"Shhhhh its alright, He deserved it darling and it is no big deal. Don't worry, I am fine. "assured Charles.
