Neither of the two people desired to break the silence until it struck to Wu Zhang that he was here for a reason. He immediately cleared his throat and placed his hand on her shoulder as he tried to assess if she was fine. "Are you okay? What happened to your phone?"
"Yes, I am fine." Song Jia pulled an awkward smile, feeling a tad embarrassed. She tilted her head and with her chin pointed into the direction of the lake. "It slipped out of my hand and fell into the water."
"You could have called me from someone else's phone. You have no idea how much you made me worry." He heaved a sigh of relief seeing her standing in front of him, fit and fine.
His words made her grin sheepishly like a child who was caught by her mom stealing candy. "I would have missed this dumbfounded expression on your face if I would have done so."
