It was past midnight. Lee changhyuk was walking around the hotel aimlessly. He could not brush off the image of her delicate back getting further from him. The more he tried to forget it, the more it played in his head. His mood was really bad you could almost see dark cloud surrounding him.
"Ah choo!" He rubbed his perfect nose and pinched it with annoyance. His trousers and beanie were still damp.
He then looked at his palm. There were wounds from the fingernails that dug deeply inside his skin. He didn't realize that he was clenching fists this entire time. The wounds stung yet those cold eyes remained indifferent. He put his hands inside of the pockets then continued walking.
Some guests still roamed around the hotel. There were indeed some good facilities such as hotbaths, restaurants, and bars that opened 24 hours. If he was lucky he wouldn't run into the former lovers and watch their interaction. Even thinking about it boiled his blood so much.
The dark air around him was so terrifying, he looked like a fallen devil who was ready to massacre a pure soul. He was still breathakingly gorgeous, but there was no flirty smile coming from the people who walked past him as they were afraid to anger him.
He stopped in front of a vending machine. There were, beers, soda, juice and other beverages. Those beers looked suddenly so tempting so he searched his pocket and put some coins in.
'I want to acquire Le Sucre. I want to star as a guest in Cheerful Youth. Fire that director. Buy the newest car for me. She could have asked for those things.' He thought inwardly.
He pushed the button to buy the drink then lazily bent to collect it. After 2 seconds, a cold chuckle slipped from those pouty lips as he realized that he actually just bought a can of milk.
Okay, enough of this nonsense. He needed a good night sleep. Time pass faster when you sleep. When he opened his eyes the milk girl would be back and his misery would end.
But what if the milk girl didn't return to the room and spent the whole night with Kira Atsui? His whole body froze.
If that happened, he would have to leave her.
But if he turned a blind eye and never found anything about it, he could still stay with her, right? Lee Changhyuk coaxed himself.
Oh well, it shouldn't be that bad, he opened the milk can and drank it in one go.
That night, the Star decided not to return to the hotel room.
-------
Shizu put her phone on the table as she finished talking to Andy. They all have reached the hotel and were getting ready to enjoy the hot bath.
She finally took a deep sigh of relief while Kira poured the empty tea cup for her. They were sitting in the hotel bar, the place wasn't too crowded as it was pretty late but there were still some guests around.
Kira landed his gaze on her lovely face. She still looked as beautiful as he remembered but he could tell that she was tired. It would be better if he sent her back to change first, or they could even talk tomorrow morning before the photoshoot but when he saw her, he just didn't want to see her leave with Lee Yuki.
Yup he was waiting in the lobby for hours just to see her but Lee Yuki just had to appear beside her. So he decided to show that strange man his place.
"Are they back?" He asked her and she answered with a quick smile and a nod.
"Ah." She suddenly remembered something. "I have to text Lee Yuki." She promised to text him if she heard from Andy!
She bowed her head lightly to excuse herself then took the phone, she began typing and it didn't take long for Kira's mood to turn sour.
He put the tea cup down and asked her "Where did you meet that guy?"
"Hmm?" She lifted her lashes to meet him and stayed quiet for a few seconds. Kira still hasn't changed. He always had that tone whenever he was in a bad mood.
"Shizu, we're finally sitting together after years. Can you not be distracted?" His tone was high it startled her. She immediately put her phone back on the table and met his piercing gaze.
"I'm sorry.." Her voice was weak. Just like the old days, she could never talk back to him.
It was nothing new. Shizu was so in love with Kira so she could never say no or ague with him. Whenever he was too busy or they had a fight all it took was his sad look or his high tone to shut Shizu down.
The last time he cancelled her on her birthday she just accepted everything without questioning him. She loved him and didn't want to lose him.
But now he knew it wasn't love- she was terrified of him. And it frustrated him. Kira clenched his teeth and diverted his gaze.
He did run from her but she was the one who abandoned him first. Didn't she hate the Star life so much that she broke up and cut all ties with him?
"Please don't apologize." He finally said which she quickly replied with a weak nod.
There was a moment of uncomfortable silence between the two of them, especially when people started to notice the existence of one of the rising Stars in Japan.
Kira was so frustrated but he knew he shouldn't keep quiet. After all, they were finally together after so long. He took a deep breath then landed his gaze on her nervous face. Even after all this, she still looked painfully beautiful in his eyes.
"Do you dislike this place? Should we move somewhere?"
"Let's just talk here." She replied softly while anxiously looking to the right and left to spot an RHK crew. Where could they go? No matter where where they go, people would recognize Kira Atsui unless they talked privately in the hotel room.
"Shizu you are not dating Lee Yuki, right?" He went straight to the point causing Shizu to shake her head in panic and strongly deny it.
"No no no, of course not!" She was waving her hands but he could see how those pale cheeks slowly turned red and it pissed him off.
"Then why does he keep following you around? Why do you keep looking out for him? Who is he?" His voice was loud that people around them turned their head over.
"Kira are you..." She swallowed a dry air and met his dark gaze. "You can't be jealous, right? Did you call me here to talk about Lee Yuki?"
"No way! After all these years I just need to talk to you. That guy can go to hell for all I care, Shizu won't you answer me?" Even though he didn't answer her first question, he was obviously burning in jealousy. His handsome face darkened, he coldly folded his arms and crossed one leg over the other like some sumptuous royalty that finally exploded in anger.
Shizu bite her lower lip, she should have accepted Kira's offer and moved somewhere private. So she quickly chugged down the hot tea before collecting herself and said. "Kira, let's go somewhere else."
"Where? To my room?"
