"Whoaaa! This is so comfortable!" Lee Changhyuk appeared behind her and jumped onto the bed, spreading his arms and legs out like a happy kid.
Shizu quickly skimmed the room, there was a living area just in front of the bed with a sofa and a coffee table. Her shoulders dropped as she sighed, she then closed the door behind her.
"You can take the bed, I'll sleep on the couch." She opened her coat and put the luggage in the pantry, there was a red handprint on her forehead.
Lee Changhyuk used his elbow to bring his body up, stretching out one of his legs and bent the other one. A grin appeared on his handsome face, he pretended not to notice the slap handprint.
"Nope. I should sleep on the couch. You asked Andy to switch cause you are worried about me, right? You deserve the bed." He playfully said as he patted the spot right next to him.
Just like that, the awkward atmosphere was gone. As expected from the King of Entertainment industry, they knew how to break the ice! The milk girl was relieved that the burden on her shoulders were lifted, she wordlessly moved and sat next to him.
"It's okay, you can sleep here.." She said softly. There was a smile on her gentle eyes as she tried to convince him. What a pleasant sight. Lee Changhyuk wondered why didn't people stare at her everywhere she went, like how he was staring at her now.
He smiled apologetically and shook his head. "I am sorry. I cannot get a room under my own name."
"Not at all! It is not your fault."
"I wasn't planning to sleep in the same room with Andy." He began talking as he nonchalantly removed the beanie from his godly face. He ran his hand through his soft hair and casually leaned back, using his palm to support his body "I can just sleep anywhere. I'm not very picky about where I sleep. During our busiest times, I could even sleep on a roller coaster." He said with the sweetest apple smile and a twinkle in his eye.
She didn't react immediately as she was dazzled by how stunning he looked in her eyes, they finally widened in shock as she digested his words. "Wait, what!? Why?"
"Umm.." He looked up to the ceiling as he trailed off, like a naughty prince who tried to find an excuse for his mischief "Well that's not the best example. We didn't get enough sleep for 4 days, I fell asleep when we were filming on a roller coaster."
Shizu was not sure if she should take this as a joke. She opened her mouth but only after several seconds the words came out "Lee Changhyuk.. that means you passed out."
His eyes flickered, followed by a melodious chuckle. He bite his lower lip then nonchalantly shrugged. "Maybe, but I felt refreshed when they woke me up so it was a good nap."
Her heart ached a little. Did he ever complain? She never saw him whining about work. Even when he was helping Le Sucre like crazy. Was he the type to push himself to the limit? She didn't like to imagine the hardship he went through.
"Don't get used to something like this." She said, there was a hint of restlessness in her voice.
Lee Changhyuk blinked once then graciously removed his fake glasses with one hand. There was no more Lee Yuki accesories that hide his glorious face. He lifted his eyes to meet hers and tilted his head a little as he waited for more words to come out of her lips.
"Well, I know you're a professional but at least here.. It is okay if you're not used to it. You can tell me when you are unhappy or uncomfortable." The gentleness on her face faded and was slowly replaced with worried eyes.
Lee Changhyuk paused for a bit while maintaining his usual devil may care expression. Miruku chan, do you really care about how I feel?
He didn't like to worry her but looking at her expression now didn't make him feel too bad. In fact he could look at it forever. Now that he was in love, has he become a cruel person? He liked seeing her... worried? A smile appeared on his enchanting face.
"Do you know how happy I am cause you brought me along to this place?"
She lowered her lashes cause she was about to tell a little lie. "No."
Her ears reddened. His dazzling face was radiating happiness like the freshest yellow sunflower, people would call her blind to not notice it, but a part of her wanted to hear it directly from his sweet mouth.
"Happy enough to remember this moment for the rest of my life."
Shizu didn't say a word. It was because she saw his eyes twinkling like there were a million stars sparkling inside them. She didn't know what it was but for some reason, seeing that look in his eyes made her want to reach out her hand and touch his face and embrace him. What a strange feeling.
Why did he say he would remember a moment with a nobody like her for the rest of his life? Unbenknownst to her, her heart was thumping wildly the whole time.
She diverted her gaze and swallowed a dry air. She had to forcefully stop herself from replaying his sweet voice in her head. He was the brightest star and he was leaving her in a bit. She should just focus on her job and not to trouble him. She would receive her acceptance letter from the uni in a couple of days and eventually go to pursue her dreams, carry on with her life while adoring him from afar.
Lee Changhyuk casually leaned back further as he caught a glimpse of her phone vibrating. Shizu stole a glance at his sensual neckline then shut her eyes tight as she counted little sheeps in her head.
"Hey, that's Andy! He and the others are going to the festival! Should we join them!?" He suddenly said with excitement. He straightened himself and helped her to get up, holding her shoulders and turning her around to face the other way, towards the door.
Shizu put the phone back in her pocket as soon as it stopped vibrating, then exclaimed as she remembered something important.
"Your disguise!"
