Chapter 76 - You're Being Unfair (2)

I'll have to leave her...

The strength left his legs.

He'd have to leave her? He repeated in his head.

His eyes started to burn. Three days without her was a total hell and now he'd have to leave her? The pain came jagged and crushed his insides.

Not being able to endure the torture created by his own head, he opened the door then entered the wardrobe room.

Shizu was folding the costumes and immediately glared at the entrance because she thought Erika Itoh was coming back to annoy her. If she ever said anything funny, she would definitely not hold back and throw a hanger at her!

But that frown slowly turned into a beautiful smile as she realized the person who came in was no other than a familiar face that she hasn't seen for awhile.

There was sunshine in her smile as her eyes met his sharp ones. You could tell her mood went from bad to good in an instant.

Lee Changhyuk seemed to forget the poison that consumed his soul. The look on his face softened, he started to breathe slowly. Without him realizing, he was letting himself drown in that small eternity.

Ah that face... That beautiful face that he longed so much for the past three days.. Why are you smiling? Are you really happy to see me too?

Milk girl, you're being unfair..

His dark eyes lighted up as a mischievous grin appeared on that devil-may-care face. He lifted the luggage like it was a feather. Proudly, he tilted his head to the luggage then gave her the cheekiest wink she had ever seen.

Shizu scoffed as she knew that Lee Changhyuk was trying to show off. Oh! So the devil's back!

But she didn't realize that her face was all shining as she saw that impulsive brat! How could she not feel happy to see him?

For her, he was such a ray of sunshine, he brought lights wherever he went. Even without revealing his real identity, everyone loved him, they're drawn to him. She could see it in the way they hang on his words and reciprocated his smile so quickly.

He did often give her mini heart attacks for his childish and impulsive behavior. But he was also the one who made her laugh the most. That person, her new bestfriend, always made everything better for her.

"Let me help you with that luggage." She jogged happily towards Lee Changhyuk with her arms wide opened. Contrary to her remark on his devilish attitude, she always treated him like puppy.

The girl had a voice that was like music under a summer breeze, it went right to his brain like a shot of sweet soda.

Lee Changhyuk chuckled. That up-to-no-good face was beaming as he saw the milk girl came towards him like a child. He tossed the luggage away then pulled her to his side, wrapping her in a warm swaddle of his chest and arms.

"Don't move, this is my reward for carrying the luggage." His chin lazily rested on her head, his hand was gently rubbing her back.

His embrace was warm and very protective, it was comforting to the touch.

"Um." Shizu nodded and wrapped her hands around him. She hasn't seen him for three days so she should let him off! He was a puppy anyway.

Just like that, Lee Changhyuk made up his mind. It was never fair from the very beginning.

He was so deeply in love with her- he could never imagine himself without the milk girl.

'I hate you' and 'I love him' as long as they did not come out of her lips, he would turn a blind eye and stay by her side till the end.

His feeling would never allow him to push her away nor run away from her.

He would cherish every second with her until the very last moment. He remembered that he once asked her to be his friend forever.

Forever... Ha. Was he being too selfish?

One month, he thought. I only asked for one month, right? So let me love you until my time is up and I will let you go. I promise that I will make you the happiest girl in the world. Whether you're ending up with me or that guy.. as long as you're happy I will endure any hell. Just don't take this away from me.

He hugged her even tighter. Desperately trying to convey the message that he could not utter in words.

He closed his eyes and gave the gentlest kiss on her head for a few moment.

The milk girl could sense it. Something must have happened to Lee Changhyuk. Slowly, she was looking up to meet his gaze.

Lee Changhyuk loosened his arms just so that he could look at her beautiful face. But once he met her worried eyes, he immediately let go of her and distanced himself.

Being in love was scary! How could he want to kiss her just by looking at her eyes!?

"Lee Chang..."

Groooooowl~

Her lips were shut closed. Lee Changhyuk couldn't help but giggle as he heard her stomach growled.

Her face was as red as potato but she refused to admit her embarassment. Hey, she was about to say something serious here! Calm down! Calm down!

Lee Changhyuk would not stop laughing so she was now back to her glaring competition as she rechanted all kind of mantras in her head to stop herself from scolding this impulsive brat.

A devilish smirk appeared on that nonchalant face. Gently, he massaged the frown on her temple and caressed her head.

"Should we have lobsters? You're paying." - Lee Changhyuk
