It was a cold February night in the Village of Fahlm near at the borders of Brant Empire. It was almost midnight when a young boy can be seen wandering inside a forest. He was holding a flashlight in his right hand and a cross on the other hand. While walking to his destination a cold gush of wind passed through the thin body of the boy as he walked near an old tree. The tree was very tall with no single leaf in its branches. The boy rested and laid his head at the old tree.
"Damn those idiots. Because of them I was here. I'm going to kill them when I got back" He said in a low voice. "Brrrrr so cold".
The boy continue to walked after a brief rest in the tree. When he suddenly heard an unusual sound coming from a bush nearby.
"Wush Wush"
He pointed his flashlight towards the bush while saying. "Uhmm.... Who is that? Come out!!!"
Suddenly the thing inside the bush started to make a weird sound.
"Grrrrrrrrrrrr"
"Hoooooooo Hoooooooo"
"Awoooooooooooo"
Different sounds of animals simultaneously echoes in the boy's ear. He unknowingly move backwards because of fear that the dangerous creature will pounce at him killing his precious life. "*Gulp*…. Come out!!".
Seconds later a green frog with red spots on the top of its head come out in the bush. The boy felt relief that It didn't killed him.
"Oh…. it's just a frog. That freaks me out….But did that thing really sounded like that? Never mind….okay let's continue". He said and continue towards his destination.
"Awooooooooooo"
"meowwrrrrr meowwrrrrrr"
While walking he can still hear more noises of different animals, but he choose to ignored it even though he was still afraid that a weird animal could pop out from his sight.
After an hour of tirelessly walking he finally arrived at his destination.
Looking from his left and right to secure that no one is around the boy walked in front of the mansion and looked at it in amazement.
"Whoa this is a scary house and also amazing at the same time. Nice"
He then proceeded to the gates of the mansion. But before he could even stepped inside the house, the door opened by itself revealing a ghostly figure of an old man.
"WHO DARES TO STEPPED IN THIS MANSION?" the ghost said in a terrifying voice.
The boy body then shivered in cold and fear. He almost pissed in pants and that was humiliating if his friends found out. While moving backwards slowly he then suddenly remembered what his friend George told him before he went to this scary place.
*Flashback*
"Sean remember in the house there was an allegedly ghostly figure of an old man. Some say's the old man was the care taker of the old mansion. Remember always….when you found him, place this cross in his head, that will vanish the ghost for a minute. Remember…. one minute after that he will come back again." George said the Sean in a serious tone.
"But how do you know all of that? Did you go there?" Sean asked in a worried and scared face.
George touch his mustache and said "It's available in the internet dude haha".
*End of Flashback*
Sean looked at the ghost for a moment and said "Will this even work?"
Even though he knows what to do base on what George said, he doesn't have the guts to do it. He was afraid that the ghost would kill him. He pondered for a minute then looked at the cross in his hand. "Well you are my only chance. I have to trust you."
He was about to run towards the ghost, when suddenly it vanished from his sight.
"Where is he?" He said then looked around but still did not find it.
A minute later Sean was still searching for the ghostly figure but he failed to see it.
Then a cold wind passed through his back. Slowly looking at his back while preparing the cross he said "Well here we go".
When he finally look back the cold wind suddenly move at his right side. Sean instantly identifies that the cold thing was the ghost. Sean quickly rotated his body and pointed the cross to his right side but then again the ghost moved at his back. Same thing happened after that.
Sean instantly stopped moving and ignored the ghost constantly moving around his body. He said quietly "Even though he moves around my body, it didn't do anything to me, well as of now. Also I can sense some pattern here." So he closed his eyes and guess what is the next position of the ghost.
In a quick moment Sean move his cross at his right side and pointed the cross towards it. The ghostly figure then pop out from nothingness. A red tint spread at the head of the ghost after the cross touched it. "Boom" the ghost then silently vanished.
Sean then move quickly and ran to the second floor. "One minute is a short time after that the ghost will show up again. Better run fast" He said
*Flashback*
"After you vanished the ghost remember to ran to the first room of the second floor. You will find a stone there. Take it and ran towards the exit." Rowan said
"Why do you want that stone anyway?" George said
"It's a collector's item you idiot" Rowan said
*End of Flashback*
Sean opened the door of the first room in the second floor but he was surprised on what he saw.
"Damn there's a lot of stone here" He said in surprise.
The room was filled with different colors and designs of stones, it could almost fill the entire room.
"How would I know which one of the stone is it?" Sean said "Well he will not know it anyway" he then take a lot of stones that could fit on his pocket.
When he was about to exit the ghost appeared in his front.
"Damn the ghost is here again" Sean said and prepared his cross. When he was about to ran to the ghost and put the cross at its head. The ghostly figure suddenly vanished from his position. Seconds later all of the stones around Sean started float. The ghost appeared again and sneered at Sean and said "Thanks".
"You can talk?" Surprised and speechless he did not know why the ghost said thanks to him. He was about to run to the door when he quickly saw that the floating stones started to move towards his direction at a very high speed. Sean was about to cry but he when the stones were about to hit his face but he unexpectedly fainted and pissed in his pants.
In a house near at the local bakery, a boy was sleeping quietly, of course that boy is Sean.
"It's been a week but Sean seems not planning to wake up. Doctor what could you do?" The woman asked the doctor who is sitting right beside Sean. "To tell you the truth I don't know. We could only wait for him to wake up." The doctor said. "Thank you doctor" The man said.
The man and the woman where the mother and father of Sean.
*Flashback one week before*
It was Saturday morning after Sean's mother and Father ate there breakfast, a knock can be heard on their front door.
"Who is it" Sean's father asked.
"Is this the house of Sean Might" the man in the door said in a loud voice.
Sean's father think for a moment and said "Yes it is, Hon can you open the door"
"Okay" His mother said.
Sean's mother was surprised and was about to cry after he open the door noticed that a man was carrying his son. "Wha…..Whaattttt.. Whattttt Happened?" Sean's mother asked.
"I saw him on the abandoned mansion. I don't know what he was doing there, but I saw an ID with address on it… the man said
"thank you very much" Sean's mother said "Hon, call a doctor!!!!"
*End of flashback*
It was late at night when Sean woke up. He found himself in a familiar place. "I was a home?" he said.
"Mom,…. Dad" The sound of Sean calling for his mother and father echoes through the house.
"Our son is awake quick call the doctor" Sean's mother said. "Okay" replied by his father.
Sean's mother quickly ran towards the room of his son. When she saw his son with a smiling face she cried without even knowing. But before she could even cry a bucket of tears her sad face turn into an angry face. How could she ignore that his son went into that place. That forbidden place.
Sean sensed something change. He knew that his mother would definitely get angry at him because of what happened. But to his surprised his mother was only giving him an angry aura, at this moment he knew that he was safe.
"You're lucky today, but if something happened like this again then you'd be grounded for a year. Hmmm" Sean's mother said.
Sean could only gulp in fear.
