After Gott's explanation, Maloney's anticipation increased ten-fold. The idea of being a genius would tickle most anyone's fancy.
"Now you must decide. Even though I can make it so that studying all types of practitioners is possible. You must do it one at a time, this is very important. As you work on your first cultivation, it will be the weakest moment you have. After that, you'll have reached the peak in one form and will be able to study another, making it so nobody can challenge you." Gott carefully explained as up until complete mastery she will have a weakness.
"Since, I wasn't expecting this to be possible I had already decided what form of practice I would study. My choice is Martial Artist, even though more strength would come from Warrior, I believe that versatility is key, especially now that I have the choice for others in the future."
Maloney spoke her words clearly as to lessen the time need to explain and hasten the coming of her cultivation.
"Haha, I assumed that would be your choice. Such a style is suited for you, take the scroll." With his permission, she quickly procured the Martial Art technique.
Gott didn't speak, for he knew that her passion would lead her in the right direction. Maloney sat cross-legged on her bed. Breathing in and out she slowly starting to sense World Energy. The first part of Martial cultivation involved, flesh, bone, and veins, but as Maloney already had tempered her body in a mere one day she completed the Mortal Body Refinement Realm. The Mortal Realm, even for a person with a high level of talent, would take a minimum of 3 years and usually even more. But as all good things do, her speed came to an end. She had reached the peak of the Mortal Body but couldn't form her spirit yet. The Elders of the city below the mountain had only reached the top of Spirit realm so at her age to be able to even think about it was incredible.
Time flew once again and half a year passed. Finally, through much concentration, she was able to break through the Spirit Realm and step into Partial Spirit. While the Mortal Body Realm enhanced physical abilities, the Spirit Realm increased the power of the five senses, Touch, Smell, Hearing, Taste, and Sight. But something which was realized in the one year that passed was the fault of the cultivation conditions. Since there was no conflict between Gott and Maloney, her mind had yet to experience enough tribulation. This did not deny the pain she went through, but there she was a victim, now she had to train her mind as a survivor or better yet a conqueror. It was decided that in one more year she would go down to the village. This served the purpose of training and for her to find more children to be trained. However, Gott was overprotective, so in the one year, before she left, battle techniques were drilled into her brain.
"What is important to know is that when it comes to Martial Artist fighting, their style is weak. Each move uses the power of Martial Energy sure, but the strange and tactically hurtful movements are needed to better help the flow of energy. The reason why Martial Artist are so afraid of an unstable Martial Energy flow is that their body stores and use it but isn't strong enough to handle it. Mages' when out of Mana can't cast spells, similar when out of Energy, Martial Artist become frail mortals. That's one reason why a strong foundation is also essential in your training style. As you probably felt, a foundation is just solidifying Martial Energy around your body so even if you try to use all your Energy you won't, but still retain some naturally. Therefore, many think it is their actual body which Martial Artists refine."
Gott stared down at Maloney still seeing the little girl with watery eyes who walked into his cave 10 years ago. Yet, if somebody else were to see her, they would see a stunning beauty. Bright blue eyes that gleamed with intelligence, blonde hair that was filled with shining luster, and a mature body which would invoke the desire of all men. She started to perform a move which Feuersberg just started to have her learn. Beads of sweat form on her brow as she tried her best to execute the attack properly. It was called Crushing Wave as it used fluid movement to block, stun and then hit an enemy with an overhead kick.
Wind separated and made way for her as she danced to a battle cry in her heart. She was a combat junkie who never even punched somebody before. However, the stories which Gott had in his collection told of awesome[1] fights between two masters. The respect that worthy foes give and are given not to mention the satisfaction of victory were all recorded and implant into her brain. She began to retell the legends but with her in them. Yet, in each one of her fantasies was her support, Gott, he always followed her. It was quite comical as she could not imagine what his body could be like, often he would appear as a floating head. She tried to picture him as a dragon, but she always felt something was off. Maloney felt like she was comparing a candle to a volcano.
She continued to master her Art form until one year had passed. Many other moves besides Crushing Wave were taught to her, but the motion of Crushing Wave felt the most comfortable to her.
"My dear, it is time for you to set off. Clear the misunderstanding of what I seek, and bring junior disciples to be the first generation of the Organization. Explore your mind, and feel the new sensations needed to break through in your cultivation. But most importantly come back safe, my heart would be scarred if you returned with a single blemish." Gott spoke with the care, and though emotions could not be displayed on his face. The profound eyes he possessed told it all.
"I will be back soon, and I will miss you the whole time while I am gone…" With that Maloney turn from Gott and gracefully made her way towards the outside world.
