"Welcome to our world Heroes!!" The man with a crown standing in front of his throne welcomed us.
The man looked like he's in his mid 40s but still emits an aura of a ruler.
'Huh, heroes, us?' Everyone was confused as the man, presumably a king, was looking at us, everyone looked behind us and no one was there, he's probably talking to us.
As everyone was still silent trying to digest what had happened, I looked around, there are other people around the hall looking at us. They were wearing European like clothes for nobles back in the day. Some people standing close to us is wearing priest like clothes. I figured that this world has the setting the same as the medieval period we studied in history with kings and nobles. I returned my gaze towards the supposedly king who welcomed us, and noticed the three figures standing by his side one step back .
A wise looking old man, a mature woman in her early 30s, and a girl dressed in princess like outfit probably the same age as us. Judging from their cloths and bearing the old man should be the prime minister, the woman the queen, and lastly the girl should be a princess. The girl blushed when she noticed my gaze on her and looked down hiding her face. Well, everything is a guess for now though.
"Uhm" silence was broke when a student with glasses spoke. I don't remember his name, but I remember seeing him always reading novels or manga during break or lunch time.
"Speak young man" the king said with a smile.
"You said something about heroes. Are you talking about us? And is this a world of swords and magic?" He asked. Unlike others confused and doubtful expressions he seems to be anticipating something.
"Before that let me first introduce ourselves . I am Arthur von Lar, king of Lar kingdom in the continent of Gaia. This is my wife and Queen Claudia von Lar, My daughter and princess Christina von Lar, and lastly the prime minister Van Claire." He introduced himself and the three behind him. The three bowed when they were introduced to the heroes for courtesy.
(Note: I don't know sh*t about their custom so I'm making things up. Made up names because probably be forgotten soon and I won't keep up the polite speech cause it's mentally taxing)
Many boys blushed when they looked at the princess.
"Answering to your previous question. Yes, I am referring to you all as heroes. The Holy Maiden and clerics of the Church of the Light Goddess has come and activated the formation that summoned you. This formation was set up in our Kingdom by the Light Goddess herself as the founder of this Kingdom was one of those who served her, it was put under his supervision and this duty was passed on to his descendants. Also I don't know what your world is like but this world does use sword and magic commonly." The king answered and also pointed at the the people that was wearing white priest like outfit surrounding the formation.
"My name is Sarah Luminaria, the Holy Maiden of the Church, it is my honour to meet the heroes." The girl my age or younger standing among the people surrounding the formation spoke. She was smiling when she greeted us. She looked at us and blush when we connected gaze before looking the other way. I was speechless, whats with girls blushing the first time they see me. In the celestial realm people who cultivate pushed out the impurities within their bodies so it's normal to have pretty face but I guess it's not the same in different realms.
Again, the boys were charmed, she had a warm and soothing aura.
"Then-Then the reason you had summoned us is because the devil race has invaded and the devil king appeared?" Glasses-kun asked after recovering from the charm with excitement in his tone.
"As expected of a hero, you pick up on things fast. A portal to the Devil world has opened in the north edge of the continent. The devils invaded the territory near the portal but they suddenly stopped their movements. We are expecting a massive invasion so we need to be ready. We summoned you early is that so you could familiarise yourselves with your divine blessings from the light goddess. Say in your mind 'status' to see your abilities and divine blessing. If you had questions please do ask." The king explained.
Hearing that everyone decided to first check out if 'status' will appear in their head before asking further questions. I saw that everyone has surprised expressions and started discussing. They must have seen this 'status' and confirmed that this is not a fraud. I tried as well but nothing happened.
"Uhm Ying'er why don't I have this 'status'?" I asked in my thoughts.
[Sora already has me. Don't tell me your not satisfied with me and wanted to get another one? Besides, this 'status' can't compare to me, a 'system', as it only let you see your statistics, make it a tad bit easier to increase whatever is written on it, and it increases your strength by refining leftover energies of beings you killed as exp points and merging it with yours, which is not the correct path if you want to be the strongest throughout the realms within the void] the Ying'er said.
Well, there is the part where Ying'er is jealous, and the part where Ying'er is genuinely concerned. She doesn't want me to become strong by killing and absorbing their energy. Ying'er never provided me with energy to absorb but System Points to buy cultivation methods, breakthrough pills, and some other things that will only assist me on cultivation.
"Don't worry Ying'er I don't desire this 'status', I just wanted to see what this thing called divine blessing is" I said so comforting her

I rejected both 'status' and divine blessing when they tried to enter and merge with your body.] Ying'er said in dangerous tone.
"Ok" I just agreed with her as I don't want to argue nor will I win this argument.
"Onii-sama!" I turned around to see Kanna with the others walking towards me.
"What is it Kanna?" I ask her
"What do you think we should do?" She asked.
"Well for starters we should ask about the situation outside before agreeing to risk our lives just because we gained powers." I said.
"I agree with Sora. I don't think we're the only one who wield powers like magic as we were summoned here with the help of those 'wizards'." Mary agreed.
"To be honest I got excited because this is a world of swords and magic just like those novels I read, but I don't think it's family friendly as they made it out to be in the story, killing devils and stuff." Jin confessed.
"Uhm... We should ask how to return to our world first. I-It's not that I'm being selfish but participating in a war probably is too much for me." Miharu suggested but suddenly was ashamed of herself thinking she is selfish.
"No, you aren't in the wrong Miharu-san, everyone has a right to choose either to participate or not. Knowing how kind Miharu-san I can't imagine you swinging a sword in a war-pfft!" Kanna tried to comfort Miharu but failed when she imagined the scene.
"Kanna-san it's not time to laugh!" Protested Miharu with teary eyes.
Everyone chuckled at this making her even more embarrass.
"Alright that should be enough for now. I agree with Miharu-san, we should ask the way back and it's not good to make the king wait." Mary trying to get us back.
Hearing this everyone was reminded that the king was still there. They looked at the king and saw him waiting patiently for them to recollect themselves. They sighed in relief as they thought he'll get angry at them for ignoring him.
"As the school president I'll ask him for everybody as I don't think everyone wants to fight." Kanna said
"*cough May I ask a question King-sama?" Kanna said after getting everyone's attention.
Everyone finally calmed down and looked at Kanna.
