"We are just taking it slow for now. I'm still shuffling between two states, and she's also traveling around. We are good," he took a sip out of his drink before looking at Claudia.
"As long as you're happy," she smiled at her friend. "Do you see her for herself or see her as ..."
He understood what she meant. "She's different. I was only momentarily confused. That confusion almost cost me my happy ever after."
"I'm glad you settled that. Remember to invite me to your wedding," she giggled as they clinked glasses.
The friends talked for a little more before Claudia headed out first to take care of her daughter.
She met with silence as she got home.
"That's weird. Where did the father-daughter pair go?"
She made her way to the baby's play room but didn't find them there. It was a small room filled with toys from Emerald's aunts and grandparents.
"There they are," she said as she spotted the duo in the couple's bedroom fast asleep.
Looking at her 6-months old daughter carefully, she did look like her father: nose, chin, and eyebrows.
She couldn't help but wonder what her girlfriends' children would look like.
"If Seraphina births a son, I'll marry you to him. My son-in-law must be a smart cookie. Flora's son would be too perveted," she mumbled to herself.
