He Xiyan walked toward Cheng Cheng's mother and shook her hand warmly.
"Thank you for attending Xi Xi's birthday party."
He Xiyan pasted a smile on her face the entire day and tried to make herself seem very energized by wearing a smile even though she wasn't feeling well.
"Hello, Xi Xi's mother. I'm Cheng Cheng," Cheng Cheng said as he looked up at He Xiyan and introduced himself happily.
He Xiyan patted the child's shoulder and turned to look at him. Cheng Cheng was a beautiful boy who looked like he was Yuan Yuan's age.
"So you're Cheng Cheng," she said with a smile. Her daughter would occasionally mention Cheng Cheng's name as the boy who would often give her little gifts.
"Yes, Auntie. I'm Xi Xi's best friend," Cheng Cheng said. He referred to Xi Xi as his best friend.
His mother told him that he should take Xi Xi as his bride when he is older, so he had resolved to treat Xi Xi well and become her best friend.
