Draig hadn't stopped putting distance between him and his old home for three days before he decided he was safe enough to stop and finally take a much needed break. At this point the Vampire decided he would straighten out his belongings as best he could given that he had just stowed away as many things as he could upon his departure but first he would have to find an appropriate place to do so as displaying so many items would no doubt make him a target.
With that thought in mind Draig decided he would expend a little bit more effort in finding a secluded place to lay his head, it took but a few extra hours until he found a cave to rest in. However the Vampire was very paranoid due to his grand escape and thus traveled deep to the back of the cave out of view from the entrance.
Guided by the flame in his hand acting as a torch Draig activated his Spatial gear and watched as Crates appeared before him, these were filled with pills of different varieties.
Pills were a wondrous creation that replaced their bulky ancestor the potion, they ranged from the everyday Health pill which would heal someone or restore their energy in a pinch all the way to the highly sought after Pills like the Strength boosting pill which in collaboration with physical training would allow one to see immediate results allowing for a quick and permanent boost.
Draig hadn't been able to use these before and thus these crates were like mountains of gold to him, busting the tops off the crates Draig found them to be already bottled. He had expected it to be filled to the brim with the little treasures but still there was so many and each bottle held five of their respective type. Smiling to himself Draig began busting open the other crates to see what was inside of them and found more types of pills, it seemed the Master had been preparing to build the Guild up from the number of bottles inside each crate.
Draig continued releasing barrels and crates from the depths of the ring as he had used it to grab as many things as he could in the basement of the Guild not really sure of what he had or hadn't grabbed. As he continued to open crates he found magic crystals which were the fuel source for magic weapon, in the absence of an enchanter this was the new way to craft mystical weapons but the downside was that the crystals would need to be replaces every so often. However when Draig began getting towards the end he found things of a more sinister nature in the form of poisons.
'What was he planning' wondered Draig as he looked at the amassed items together and it only spelled out a plot of some sort.
Draig shook his head as he emptied his messy Bottomless bag causing the noise of coins and paper falling to be heard, the currency of the world acted in Bronze, Silver, and Gold. For smaller denominations of the currency the coins were used where after a hundred or so it would become the paper which was Silver notes and Gold notes. Draig had never seen a gold piece let alone so many and so many notes on top of that, it was something like a dream as he stared at the small pile.
Finally there were the Skill books that he had been able to recover, it was a small fortune of only seven books but still it was more than most people ever saw in their life. Draig looked at the stack and couldn't help the determination that began filling his gaze, this was his opportunity to rise to power and he couldn't waste it.
Draig quickly sorted out his Food stuffs, before placing the money into his ring while he placed the rest into his Bottomless bag and soon a fire was started using the remnants of the crates.
'My first move should be finding a safe place to practice' thought Draig
However back in the town the Master had returned to find his guild as a pile of ash.
"How did this happen" demanded the demented man angrily.
"We have investigated and determined that one of the Fire crystals in storage ran dry and thus shorted the rest." reported a snake like man.
"Did you find anything salvageable" asked the Master.
"No Sir, all that remains is ash. We did find three skeletons in the basement" explained the Snake man.
"What of our pet, where is he" asked the Master hoping for some good news.
"It burned up in the blaze due to being locked inside" reported the Snake man
"Damn it, you fools. Do you not realize how hard it was to train that Vampire, we had a perfect weapon and now it's gone. Everything is gone, the preparations we have been making over the years are now fruitless." raged the Master
"What do you wish to do now" asked the Snake man
"Simple, we will rebuild and bide our time while you all make up for the losses we have suffered due to your negligence." stated the Master as he conjured water from his hands to wash away the ash and put out any smoldering materials left.
The Snake man didn't say anything else and went to carry his message on to the rest of the Guilders.
'Damn these idiots, how can we wage our war without the means to fight' thought the Master as he began rummaging through the rubble and he was soon joined by the rest in hopes of gathering even a small bit of his supplies.
However Draig was crouched on the ground holding his head as he had used the Skill books in rapid succession leading to a mind melting pain. He knew this would happen but it was better to use them now than carry the highly sought after items with him, he couldn't risk becoming a target so soon after escaping.
Taking a Health pill he felt a majority of the pain ease a way allowing him to stand back to his feet as he stoked his fire and began making a meal. It would be the First meal of many that he had as a free man or rather Vampire.
