Sam was in a very bad mood; his journey since killing the goblins was, for saying a little, disastrous.
It all started this morning, when he realized that he forgot his weapons back there when he fought the goblins, and on his way there, a snake pass in front of him scaring the horse, making the horse go crazy throwing Sam and his stuff down before escaping with all it got.
Since he was already half a day walking to Salas, Sam just decide to go there. But in the meantime he was thinking this; a couple of dozen of snakes surround him as they were attracted to the goblins blood. And since the goblins blood was all over his bag, he needed to throw his bag to escape.
After that he escaped the snakes with all the things he had in his body, armor, knuckles and money, he went to Salas city, only to be detained because he lost his guild card. After he manages to explain the situation and show his iron rank adventurer necklace, he was allowed to enter the city after paying the fees for an adventurer of his rank.
It didn't end there, when he finally tries to rest on an inn, he felt sick in the stomach from all the stuff he eat on the forest while traveling here. Sam throws up everything he has in the stomach right where he stood. The inn keeper makes him clean up all of it since he wasn't in the room he paid.
In the present, Sam just finalized buying the weapons that he lost, having the weapons on him, Sam reaches the adventurer guild.
"Hello, I lost my guild card recently, how mush it's for renewing my guild card?" Sam asks as he believed that the group of snakes made almost impossible to find a little thing like the guild card after the frenzy with the goblin blood.
"No problem sir, we need your last adventurer necklace and a fine of a silver coin, you guild card will be completed in a week"
Having a pain trust in his wallet Sam asks "Why I even need a guild card?"
"The necklace use is to recognize the rank of a person no matter his job, adventurers, mercenaries and more use this system; although it's easy to falsify. The guild card it's exclusive to an individual and have more advantages the higher your rank its. Another question?"
No asking for more information, Sam remembers the reason he come to Salas in the first place. "Also, I'm looking to an adventurer party but I forgot its name"
"Yes sir, I need the names that form the party and its rank as a party."
"I remember that, its Liam the leader of the iron rank party, Elena the priest and Juda the rogue, and they like to use the color red" Sam didn't mention little pea because he sincerely forgot her name, the only name that come to his mind its Peanuts and he know that wasn't her name.
After hearing that the guild lady starts to look in her papers and after a while she turns back with a long face.
"The party you are looking for are named "The Red Shirts" || and they were here for a time until they accepted a D class mission, but they never came back… except for a little girl that said that was part of the group but didn't have nothing to prove it in our papers or in the party member list"||.
Like something hit hard in his head Sam start to connects points. –Liam, Elena, Juda and the name "The Red Shirts", that's a huge death flag, I hope nothing wrong happen to them-
"… So the guild put decided to put the party in lost in action list."
-Damnit, I jinx it- "Thank you miss, I will return in a week"
Heading outside Sam start to walk without a clear path –I barely know them so it isn't that bad for me, but the feeling that the first group of friends that I made here die it's still… what is this?-
While he was day dreaming a kid pump into him and the next think he know it's that he now have a lady bag. –This kid forgot his bag here; kids this day are so irresponsible-
Almost immediately, a lady and two men are tuning the corner and they see Sam with the lady bag. ||"That's the man, get him!"||
They run towards Sam that finally sees them.
-What's the rush?- "Do you need me for something?" Ask a clueless Sam.
Without asking questions, the pair of men takes down a surprised Sam and asks the lady. "It this you bag madam?"
"Yes, I'm sure of this" Reply the lady after taking a quick look to Sam.
Realizing what's going on Sam tries to explain himself put the pair of men quickly bind his hands and take him away from the lady.
"You don't understand, a kid gave me the bag, you had the wrong person!"
"Yea, you are innocent like all"
The pair of men turn him to the detention center, where nobody believed him even after he show his iron rank adventurer necklace, and they take all of Sam belongings.
"Iron rank adventurer, they are all robbers like this one if they don't get their way in life" After hearing this Sam knows remember that the law it's fiercer with adventurers. –I just hope that the lady remember that wasn't me the person who rob her-.
At the night, Sam finally it's released after the robbed lady finally remember that the bugler was a kid. Having his stuff back and after longs "I'm sorry" from the lady; Sam it's on his way to the inn after having his worst day ever. "Fortunately, the day it's finally over".
Sam then suddenly felt a pain in the back of his knee, throwing him to the ground. "Damn, I have the worst day ever, so the person who did that, be prepared to be killed!" Shout Sam while turning to his attacker.
"Kill me? Like you killed everyone I know?" A weak voice comes from the cloak cover person in front of him.
Looking carefully, he notes that the voice it's from a female child and the cloak person its tiny in size, the cloak it's a second hand one with a lot of holes and you can see a pale skinny face below.
"…this day it's the worst ever" Sam calm himself after realizing who it's the person in front of him.
"What happen to you little Pea?"
