Chapter 35 - Solo Celebration

"Ms Loh…" The man shook her hand before settling himself on the chair facing the woman.

"Please, just call me Hidayah, Mr Liew..." after shaking the man's hand, Hidayah brushed her skirt down before sitting down again.

"If that's the case, please call me Aaron." The man responded to her invitation. Hidayah gave the man a smile and nodded. "How was your stay in City K?" he continued.

"It was great, actually. I even managed to enjoy myself at several museums in the city these past days…" Hidayah replied.

"Wow! That's good to hear!" the man laughed upon hearing the woman's response. "I'm glad you had a good time."

After a short colloquy, they decided to order lunch before getting on with the official business. Overall, the discussion was short and the contract was signed almost immediately by both of them.

Thence, their lunch was much more gratifying for Hidayah. After completing her work at the restaurant, Hidayah decided to have a drink at Marini's on 57, City K's most iconic rooftop bar, restaurant and lounge that offers the best 360° panoramic views of the city's skyline. That afternoon, she guessed, it wouldn't be bad for a little solo celebration.

She exited the restaurant and walked towards the lift leading to the rooms. Luckily, the meeting was held at one of the restaurants in the hotel she is staying for the week. With her laptop bag on her left shoulder and her Prada Sidonie ostrich leather bag on her right, she slowly made her way to her room with excitement. After a long day of work, she badly needed a short hot shower to freshen herself before going out again.

The traffic in City K that evening was not as congested as usual. Therefore, her ride to the tower was quite smooth and fast. Wearing a Black Louis Vuitton Long Sleeveless Corset Dress with Jimmy Choo's Black and Smoke Mix Plexi Star Patchwork Pointy Toe Pumps with Crystals and Alexander McQueen Deep Ivory Nappa Four Ring Clutch embellished with gold studs, Hidayah took the lift to level 57.

After settling down on a table in the restaurant part of the place by the window facing the iconic Twin Tower of City K, she ordered a bottle of Glenfarclas 15, Carne Salada Di Wagyu, Porcini e Parmigiano (House-made air-dried wagyu beef slices, porcini mushrooms & aged parmesan cheese) for the appetiser, M9 Wagyu Tenderloin Filetto, Asparagi Verdi, Mini Rapa e Tartufo (Marbling score 9 Wagyu tenderloin fillet, green asparagus, baby turnip & shaved truffles) for her main. That night, she plans to eat as much as she can. (she's a vacuum!!!)

The ambience of low lighting and soft music made her night blissful. Accompanied by delicious food and whiskey, plus the successful collaboration with Eco World Development Group, the day was perfect for her.

She spent quite a long time at Marini's. When it was close to midnight, she was feeling sleepy so she decided to leave by asking for the staff to help with calling for a ride back to the hotel. She also asked for the bill for her evening indulgence…

When her ride had arrived, she slowly walked towards the exit with the help of 2 female staffs. Seeing that she was drunk after finishing the whole bottle of whiskey alone, the manager decided that it was safer for her to be escorted down. With her head starting to pound, she accepted the assistance with open arms.
