For the next fifteen days, things were calm. Lu Lijun didn't go to Jiang Yuyan and maintained a distance from her. However, he was busy all the time as the day of the main project was closer.
Jiang Yuyan busied herself too, but the thought of why Lu Lijun said to her that she hated him and she wouldn't think about it as if he didn't exist kept troubling her. She was worried about what must have happened with him. He didn't come to her apart from when they faced each other in some meeting or anything related to some work. She was relieved to think he must be on the right track but troubled to think what triggered him suddenly.
The night before the project, after the dinner, Lu Jinhai asked Lu Lijun to sit with the family.
"Tomorrow is an important day. Don't be stressed out about the result. Just keep in mind you did your best," Lu Jinhai said.
