The next day, during breakfast, Lu Lijun was silent. It was nothing new, but he looked unusually calm and a bit disturbed.

"I'm fine," came the usual reply, which was the end of the conversation.
"Why are you so silent? Did you not sleep well?" Ning Jiahui asked.
"Can't I eat in silence?" he replied, not even looking at his mother. His voice calms as he held back from getting angry at his mother for asking these questions when he was not in a mood to talk.
Ning Jiahui didn't ask further and signaled the butler to serve more food to Lu Lijun, which he didn't accept as he didn't wish to eat anything.
