I once had a dream
I wrote a poem supreme
But frustratingly
I don't remember a thing

The words were so flowy
The lyrics so deep
A beautiful cocophony
Was it an ode to the darkness
Or a shot at love
A poem of anger, sadness or fear
I don't remember
Because the lines are all blurry
And the words disappear
As soon as the dawn
Had drawn near
.
I once had a dream
I wrote such a poem
I read it out loud
And everyone fell to their knees
They all laughed and they sorrowed
Then raged hot
As tears fell from their eyes
From my lyrics of fire
.
Sharing from my soul
I connected to all
Even those frozen
Their hearts I had thawed
.
Then I woke up
And I felt empty inside
My poem was gone
Leaving only tears in my eyes
