"…"

Misha did not care about the new skill as she ate it for the sake of recovery and filling her hunger bar. The half piece of the yellow gel just now filled it by 46% which the gauge had not reached the max yet.

If half piece could give her this much EXP, what would a full portion of it give her?

Without hesitation, her tongue extended out and swiped another Petri dish of jelly.

*Mew*

Tama also begged for more.

"I'll take a full piece of this, and the rest is yours, okay?"

*Mew*

Misha unsealed the dish and put the content into her mouth. The pungent fishy odor overwhelmed her nose, yet Misha found it delicious.

After the series of game messages ended, Misha checked her hunger bar. It was already at 169%, which she could not eat anything anymore.

"The rest is yours, Tama."

*Mrrr*

"What's wrong? Do I need to pick them up for you?"

*Mew!*

"Okay, okay. I'll help you, but help me get rid of all viruses in my body in return, okay?"

*Mew!*

Ten minutes later, Misha emptied the shelf before her as Tama swallowed everything despite its size. Noticing her little parasite egg going back to sleep, she focused on healing her body once more.

The progress of self-regeneration was more efficient than the last time when she was inside the Queen Egg's cocoon. The repairing of each ribcage completed within five minutes while she had spent an entire hour doing so when her self-regen level was low.

The bleeding from her severed legs stopped, and muscle tissues were wriggling from the inside, creating new tissues, nerves, blood vessels, and leg skeletal structures as the legs regrew.

While Misha was busy, a change occurred with Tama.

The body of Tama slowly transformed, mimicking the heart shape of a human. The duck egg turned into a yellowish humanoid heart with two hundred tentacles, extending to various parts within Misha's body, transforming to yellow blood vessels.

The yellow heart connected its arteries with Misha's blood vessels, allowing the yellow blood to inject into her circulation system. At the same time, the red blood of Misha went into Tama via the artery paths that it created, consuming it and converting them back into Misha's body.

Upon completing the merger, the largest tentacle of Tama moved to the upper chest area below the neck. It dug out a piece of Misha's ribcages, muscle tissues, and skin, so it could open a hole on her chest.

The big round eye of Tama opened, becoming the third eye of Misha's body.

Two other tiny tentacles at a size of a strand of hair merged with the optic nerves behind the eyes of Misha. They went inside her eyes and stayed behind the pupil and the lens parts. Once it got to where they could comfortably settle down, the tiny parasitic tentacles opened its eye, looking at everything that Misha could see through the lens of her eyes.

All actions of Tama had been under Misha's surveillance as she was sensing the changes of her body while she was regenerating.

Although Tama did whatever it wanted, it did not seem to harm her or trying to take over her body. Instead, it was genuinely trying to live inside her like a harmless parasite.

A wry smile appeared on her face as she gave up resisting this mutated pet of hers.

"What should I call you now, Tama? An egg, an eggcat, or a parasitecat?"

*Mew!*

Thirty minutes passed.

*BOOM*

The tranquil and the peaceful time of Misha came to an end as the loud sound of a metallic gate awoke her from her trance.

The healing progress was half-done. The healing of Misha's bones was almost completed, but the legs had not regrown to the perfect state yet as her knees had only been reconstructed.

*ZIII*

Spotlights on the ceiling shone and gave light to the entire warehouse, revealing everything inside to human's eyes.

By reflex, Misha dragged her body behind the 3-meter ice block of a tall green egg, hiding in the shadow.

Sounds of footsteps of a dozen men came from the door.

The soldiers of the research floor came down to search for Misha. The moment they entered, they switched the light on.

Twenty soldiers, geared in winter clothes, got inside the warehouse with rifles, aiming at the surrounding with cautious. Each of them took a position and covered the flank of the teammates as they searched for Misha.

As they breathed, the vapor of freezing air got out of their lung.

"We'll check the place under the hole first. Don't forget that she might be the same as those mutants, so don't let your guard down."

"Which kind of mutants? The mindless one or the rebels?"

"Both."

"Do we have any auto-turret installed here?"

"No."

"Damn, this is the worse. How can we fight her if she mutates?"

"That's why we're using AR bullets. We only need one hit, and she will be finished."

The chatting voices and the footsteps alarmed Misha. Looking at her incomplete legs, she racked her brain, trying to think of a way to hide or survive.

'Do you think we can wake up anything in this room, Tama?'

*Mrrr*

'No? Ah, well. I'll just think like a monster then.'

Misha crawled in silence, stalking the team of soldiers from behind.

The soldier team got to the location where Misha had fallen and was inspecting her blood trail.

"We found the trail!"

In an instant, all attention was directed toward her traces of blood, and all eyes were looking away.

Misha leaped out of the cover and got behind a soldier, who was standing at the rear of their team formation. She stuck out her tongue, extending it and piercing the back of the neck of the soldier.

'Well, shit! This dude gives me more EXP than those freak scientists and zombies.'

Misha coiled her tongue and pulled him to her direction, crawling back and hiding the corpse in the shadow.

No one noticed that the poor soldier went missing.

'Come to think of it, I need clothes.'
