Chereads / The Boss / Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

Being a fresh graduate has always been tiresome. Whenever they're applying for a new job, of course, using their own certificate, people keep asking for experience. Worse, two years of experiences. How can they remove the 'fresh' title if experience became one of the main requirements?

That's what happen to Nathan Reed. He got a degree in marketing, guess he's not that lucky, went to more than ten interviews and all of them ended up with rejection letters. Hell, some did not even contact him.

He's 24 and still couldn't afford an apartment. Don't judge him, its expensive. He needs to think about his needs and food. So, he's stuck at his older sister's apartment. He's always envied her. When Natalie graduated, she got a job at a building company in just three months. Now, she's in a better position there.

While he lives with his sister for a living. They still have their parents. Well, parent. Nathan only claims to have a mother and his step father. His biological father left them for some bitch.  At least, that's what he thinks. His stepfather, on the other hand, it seems like he couldn't accept the fact that he's gay. Yes, gay. And proud. When his stepfather found out, everything became so awkward. So, he decided to move out.

Natalie, his sister, didn't mind having him at her apartment. But he couldn't fulfill his every need. He still need to live. Living means... having fun, going to clubs, hanging out with his friends, and so on. So, he needs to be able to afford it himself. Now, he's working at a small café. Not very small. But not that big either.

"Nathaniel!"

"For God's sake, Brendan, if you called me that again I will shove your dick up your nose!" He yelled from the kitchen.

Brendan shrugs innocently. "That's your name."

"And I hate it!" Nathan rolled his eyes. "Nathan is fine."

Brendan turned to rolled his eyes. "I need help, there's too many customers. Help me get orders."

Nathan snorted, he looked in the mirror to make sure he looked decent before walking out. Not too many actually. But, Brendan is the only waiter in charge for that shift. Nathan pulled out his pen and notebook before going to a table.

"Order?"

The couple gives him their orders, which Nathan sends to the order table to proceed on before going to a table full of guys.

"Orders?"

"Your number, perhaps?"

Nathan rolled his eyes. "Kids... I may be look young but I'm not a high schooler like you. So please, don't try and hit me up."

The guy cooed before going to make their orders. At the same time, Nathan caught someone watching him. A man, with a decent clothes sitting alone at the nearest table, staring at him, or probably checking him out.

Nathan formed a smirked then gave the orders to proceed before walking to the man's table. But, before he reach it, a classy woman took a seat in front of the man making Nathan stop in his tracks. He cursed and stomped his feet.
