Chapter 1 - Chapter One

Beep, Beep, Beep'

The ugliest sound ever heard from mankind has finally made itself known to the people tired of hearing them. Maybe just a little five more minutes and I'll be fi-.

"Lin Zi Wei, for the last time, wake up and bring me some fresh salad." Xiao Xi called through the intercom that is attached to my wall.

I groaned as I flickered my eyes open and looked at my alarm clock that showed 6:30 am. "Ugh! Why does she have to wake me up this early?"

"Hurry up Lin Zi Wei, I need my diet and burn these ugly fats, now!" she screamed through the intercom, yet again.

"Coming Xiao Xi" I answered.

Gosh, being a step-daughter can be hard work. I never knew they would turn me into a maid and serve them and then, bam. I am created, world.

I went to the kitchen, opened the fridge and took some fresh vegetables for the salad. After making the salad, I hurried to Xiao Xi's room and gave her, her salad.

"What took you so long?" Xiao Xi asked in an annoyed tone.

"I'm sorry Xiao Xi, it won't happen again and there won't be a next time." I answered. I left her room, but before I could open the door, Xiao Xi spoke up.

"Where are you going?" She asked.

"I have school, remember?" I answered.

"Oh, yeah, right. Be back here, immediately, after you finish school or else say bye, bye to your application and you'll be stuck here with me until I die." She threatened. "And tell the twins 'good luck' for their first day." She smiled sweetly yet sickly.

"Yes Xiao Xi!" And with that said, I left the room quite quickly so that she won't have any more demands and I'll be late for school if she did have any more demands.

I went inside my room, took my purple tank top that says 'Purple Rules', a white jacket, a pair of dark blue skinny jeans and a pair of purple converse.

Not to bother brushing my hair, I went to the living room and saw the twins, Xiao Yi and Xiao Ran a.k.a twiddle dee and twiddle dum.

"Your mom says good luck, on your first day." I told them.

"Yeah, like whatever!" Xiao Yi, a.k.a twiddle dee, said.

"Ew, is that what you're wearing to school? You look horrible, Lin Zi Wei." Xiao Ran, a.k.a twiddle dum, said.

"Thank you, Xiao Ran!" I answered with sarcasm dripping from my mouth.

Leaving the house, the twins rode with their own cars while I took my skateboard and rolled. I couldn't get a car of my own because Xiao Xi told me I was too young to have one, even though I'm older than twiddle dee and twiddle dum over there.

I arrived at school for only 10 minutes. I glanced on my watch, it was only 7:30 am and I only have 30 minutes to spare.

Walking to the entrance, I almost slipped because my skateboard fell and it's a good thing I caught my balance before I fall. I glanced both sideways and the back and sighed a relief sigh. It's a good thing nobody saw that, it would totally be a big humiliation. I hurriedly went inside, afraid that somebody might notice about the early incident.

I went to my locker and took my book for my first subject of the day, which is English. It's a good thing Math wasn't my first subject. If so, my brain will explode and everyone will be disgusted with me, even though I'll probably be dead by then, and the classroom will be filled with answered or unanswered numbers and some random numbers floating around, and everybody will be like 'Hey, look I can see one of the correct answers' or 'Wow, she's so dumb. That's a wrong answer. It's a good thing she exploded.' If you get what I'm trying to say here but yeah, that's the most stupid thing that will ever happen in this school and in the world.

As I walk through the halls, I heard a girl screaming and running towards me and people were covering their ears and narrowing their eyes to the person running towards me, obviously annoyed with her high screaming sound. Even I, was flinching from this sudden activity.

"Lin Zi Wei! You're finally here. OMG! You have no idea how much I missed you." Bei Jingxiao, my best friend called.

"Oh, hey Jingxiao, I missed you too. How was your summer?" I asked.

I took this as the time to look at her appearance and she was wearing black leggings with a white tutu, a pair of black doll shoes and a shirt that has some crazy designs and a white leather jacket.

"I had the best summer ever. My parents took me to Paris, the city of love, London and even in Asia, there is this place called Chocolate Hills and I swear, they look like giant chocolates and it made me want to steal one and bring it here and show it to the people and then I'll be famous. How about you, how was your summer?" she asked.

"Oh, you know, the usual and you're making me hungry, Jing." I answered.

"Oh I'm so sorry and I wished I was there with you and you could've had some fun with me." she said pitying me.

"Don't be sorry, I took everything well and I actually had a little fun....cleaning." I said.

After our little chit chat, we walked through the halls and towards our first subject since Jingxiao and I have the same morning schedule.

But before we could go inside, someone bumped right through me. Is this how invisible I am? People just go right through me? Hello, I'm not a ghost or am I?

"Hey, ouch, watch where you're going." I growled at the person that bumped me. Seriously though, I growled like those werewolves or wolves or those things I've read once before in a novel

Jingxiao forced me to read it and it was actually a good book. I like how the guy rejected the girl, because she was pathetic and fat and nerdy and has a low life or whatsoever, and then the girl left and was in another pack and then she's got a new mate and a few years later her old pack called for help and they didn't know that the girl was from that pack but anyway, they helped and so the girl revealed herself but not her true identity, only her physical appearance though.

So, when she finally introduced herself, the whole pack gasped and so all hell broke loose and in the end, the girl lived happily with her first mate.

It turns out that her second chance mate turns out to be her false mate and was ordered to kill her for she was the only powerful werewolf left to help her pack members and other packs and kill those rouges who'll try to kill anybody or anyone from her pack.

The End!

But, I didn't actually like the part where the girl was rejected. I mean, I just like stories like the rejections or something because it can make one person boost up her confidence and then bam she's stronger than ever, like the song 'What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger' by Kelly Clarkson.

I'm such a good story teller, aren't I?

What can I say? I'm a natural!

"Oh, I'm really sorry that won't happen again." The boy, who bumped me, said helping me up and looking a bit scared. Hm, might be with my growling. As what I have told you, I'm a natural.

I took his hands with mine and I took this time to check him out. He was wearing a white tee, a pair of black jeans and some white vans.

For some reasons, he kinda looked so familiar and that he looked kinda cute with what he's wearing and to top it off, he was wearing a black beanie. He has brown locks, green beautiful eyes, like the forest, his nose was in a perfect shape, his lips were a bit red and it kinda looked like he's wearing some lipstick, his jaw was in a very perfect angle that left my mouth hanging open forming an 'o'.

"Close your mouth sweetheart, you don't want to catch a fly." He smirked.

I furrowed my eyebrows, closed my mouth and walked away with Jingxiao hot on my heels to our first subject. The nerve!

"See you around sweetheart!" He called out. I ignored him and went inside the room with my best friend.

For some reason, I couldn't take him away from my good thoughts. Hey, might as well call my thoughts good, you know? I'm so hilarious, don't hold your breaths, and come on. I know you want to have a good laugh, brain.

I am officially crazy, talking to my own brain.

Do brains even breathe? I mean, they are the ones controlling our breathing since we are still alive and we breathe through our noses.

That's it, I'm crazy. I think I need to go to the mental hospital and beg for the person in charge not to let me stay there. Wait, wait just a minute, why would I want to go to a mental hospital and beg for the person in charge not to let me stay there? Ugh, my life is completely ruined because of my mental disability.

"That guy is so getting in my nerves already. Ugh!" I exclaimed to Jingxiao.

"Chill, Babe! The guy is so totally in to you. Didn't you see the way he smirked? Damn new students, why do they always have to be so hot?" Jingxiao said.

"I have a feeling that this will not be our only encounter and wait, did you just say new student?" I asked, dumbfounded

"Of course, Linlin, haven't you been observant lately?" Taylor answered and returned me a question.

"No and I happen to be very observant, thank you very much, Jingxiao. But I swear, he looks so familiar like I've seen him before when my mother was-" I couldn't even finish my own sentence. Bringing up my mom on conversations like these makes me want to tear up. Sometimes, when I'm alone and I think about the accident and I feel like the it just happened yesterday.

Jingxiao hugged me but jumped away from me when the bell rang signaling our first class of the day to start.

Jingxiao and I are both in luck because we have classes together in the whole morning, as what I have said a while ago, and one in the afternoon.

Before we could start with our English class, the principal, Mrs. Quiao, spoke in the microphone.

"Good morning students and welcome to Mountain View High. Today, one of the most famous singer and dancer, Jiang Yitian, is enrolled to this very school. There is an upcoming dance competition to be held in MVH's Theatre on the 27th of March and we would like you, students, to join the dance. Auditions will start anytime today on the dance studio. The winners for this competition will be joining up with Mr. Jiang's dance crew and this can help you with your college applications especially to you, my dear seniors but, there will only be one place for a girl to be paired up with Jiang Yitian. Thank you! That would be all and once again, good morning and have a nice first day, back to school." She said happily and then turned the microphone off.

This Jiang Yitian guy, his name sounded so familiar but where have I heard it before?

I sighed.

"Is something wrong, Lin?" Jingxiao asked.

"Nope, I just wish I could sign-up though. I mean I really want to dance. Dancing is my only way to a successful life and away from all the dramas the twins and Xiao Xi cause." I answered.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Let's sign-up together and..."

"And skip this class? No way! Xiao Xi might find out about me skipping class." I cut her.

"Oh, come on, it'll be fun. Besides Xiao Xi won't find out about this, would she?"

"I don't know Taylor but I'll try." I said.

"Ms. Bei and Ms. Lin, is there something you both would like to say?"
