"Who are you?" the boy asked.
"Who am I? Who am I! Should you not introduce yourself first before questioning the identity of others?" the owl yelled back furiously.
"Calm down. There's no need to make a ruckus," Neko says, trying to get control of the situation. She did not want to offend the new Almighty over something so minor.
"How can I be calm when a random low god decides to barge in and question us?"
Without bothering to reveal the boy's identity, she lazily replies, "Why don't we see why he is here first?"
Good thing Neko handled this matter well or else, the phoenix thinks, suppressing a shudder. Owly is scary when he gets mad.
The three turn their attention to the boy who just continued to stare at them.
"Well, speak!" Ibis commanded impatiently, crossing his wings and raising his head high.
"I was chased by someone and while I was running, I saw this place so I wanted to hide in here."
"Chased? By who?" the phoenix questioned curiously.
"I don't know her. She has long wavy brown hair and light brown eyes."
"Was she dressed in a western-style white dress?" the phoenix continued.
"Yes. Do you know her?"
"It's Earth," he concluded and the other two agreed.
"Earth?" Clearly, it was a girl that chased after him and not a pile of dirt, right?
"The Goddess of Earth," Ibis clarified, and then muttered to himself, "This low god does not know anything."
"Why did she attack me?"
"Earth has two personalities: normal and dark. The dark Earth attacks things that she finds displeasing. She must have found you displeasing and so she attacked," Ibis explained as if it was common sense that such a thing happened.
The Almighty, on the other hand, was speechless. She attacked me because she found me displeasing? But I did nothing wrong! I just stood there!
Looking at how the owl is glaring at me, it seems that I am the guilty one here. Clearly, I am an innocent victim! Who is he to find fault in my actions? Wait, I still don't know who he is. He decided to voice his thoughts.
"I still do not know who you are."
"No manners. No manners at all," the owl scolded. "Did I not tell you to introduce yourself first?"
Yes, but before I could do so, you already shifted to another topic! I felt wronged. I'm already starting to hate this God and Almighty thing. I would rather go back to Earth where everything makes sense.
Gritting his teeth, he picked a random name and replied, "You can call me Sionn."
Neko raising an eyebrow at that. Her species were very preceptive to lies and she had picked up this one almost instantly. Though, she had to admit that his skill in coming up with and telling lies was very good. If not for her powers she would not be able to tell the truth and falsity apart.
Amused at how the others were convinced at his words, she decided to play along and not ruin the fun. What other interesting lies would he tell?
"Not your real name, your god name. What is your god name?" the owl questioned irritated.
"God name?" he asked, confused. What's that?
The three looked at him as if he was an idiot. Even if he was new, he should at least have some basic knowledge, no?
Did Atiri not tell him about this, Neko thought suspiciously. Anyway, it is good that he came here. We can fill him in on the basics. Archia would faint if she knew he had asked such a question.
