It had been a few years since Draig had been locked in the box, during that time many things had come to him. Such as the realization that his system was a fraud...
He had come into his own as he had fully registered and mastered the knowledge the Founder had graced him with and with it his power grew.
--------
Currently Draig was playing with a improvised forge, he was using the alleviated items from his last quest to make a book binding.
"Just draw these runes along it now.." muttered the vampire as he finished the cover.
The project he was working on was nothing more than a focal for him to draw out one of the thirteen abilities he had been able to unlock from his bloodline.
'The Blood Script is the only way for me to access those skills from my True Vampirism, I can't believe it took me so long to realize it. However I was still foolish back then...' came the though as he began focusing his Mana.
The key to the Blood Script was a separate dimension, from what Draig knew based on the memories and knowledge from the Founder it was formerly used by the Gods to form their Holy Decrees. Thus it was given the name the Dimension of the Holy Edict, the pages within holding a special type of power. However its use wasn't so grand when utilized by the Aries, a branch of the Founder's bloodline.
Under their use it was only capable of being used to steal skills and abilities which would be recorded within it's pages. The abilities within could be given and obtained by forming a Blood Gem which upon consumption would give the consumer the contained ability.
---
Gritting his teeth as he finished focusing his exorbitant reserves and pierced into that tumultuous dimension.
This was a dangerous act, as the pages within this dimension fluttered in a maelstrom in such a way they would shred a living being if not properly cautious.
This was why a focal was handy, it would keep the risk to a minimum as he wouldn't need to actually make contact with the pages.
Seeing the storm raging within he grinned and began to funnel the pages using his mana forcing them to crash into the binding with shocking force as Draig was forced to take a knee to brace himself as pages continuously crashed into it filling the binding. However the Vampire was feeling a little hazy as even with his reserves it was beginning to take a toll on him.
Deciding it best to stop here he carefully closed off the dimension, before taking a deep breath sweat dripping from his brow.
Though it had seemed like only a few minutes it was actually a few hours allowing him to collect the pages in great number.
-----
Grinning to himself he opened the tome in front of him his expression shifting to a smirk as he saw a large variety of skills and abilities appearing within.
"I will find my freedom, when I do.... ha. It'll be something to see." laughed Draig as he went to a cottage looking shelter he had created using earth magic.
-------
Draig was the only occupant of the box nowadays, the Guilders had stopped stocking monsters within simply because the vampire would quickly devour them making the process moot. Through this Draig had gained many interesting abilities and he relished the fear he could smell in the air as the Guilders listening trembled.
However this process had also allowed him to gain materials to continue practicing other things he held within his repertoire.
As he basked in his success he caught a familiar scent and his eyes narrowed.
"Mage...." growled Draig as he stepped out of his shelter to lock eyes on the man in question.
"You have grown well.." started Zarra as he attempted to speak again but a bolt of lightning met his greeting as Draig pounced at the man with frightening speed however the Dark Mage was to be feared for a reason as he dodged and batted the Vampire away with a short staff.
"Still angry I see, I take it that you still refuse to make potions?" asked Zarra sighing as he wanted to help Draig but he needed something to help turn decisions in his favor.
"Dare to ask me for a favor after confining me here? You must be losing your mind Mage." spat Draig glaring at the man and cursing his eagerness to form the Blood Script.
"Don't think of it as helping me, think of it as helping yourself.." started Zarra as a series of runes lit up on a rock formation causing it to take shape as a golem that rushed the mage surprising him as he recognized the art of enchanting.
"Enchanting? You have been busy it seems." admired Zarra as he avoided the strike only for some trees to light up and begin attacking as well.
"I can work with this, you don't know it but you have just given me a great way to help you." smiled Zarra as he waved his staff causing black flames to consume the golems reducing them to ash but even still the ash burned until there was nothing left.
"Help me? Who was it that put me here, you're a dog Mage. A mangy one at that." spat the Vampire as he glared at the man easily handling his creations.
"It was for the best..." sighed Zarra opening a rift.
"For who." laughed Draig at the man's audacity to try and spin his wrongful imprisonment as necessary.
Zarra sighed and stepped through the rift, his new knowledge surely would come in handy to get his goal accomplished.
