after taking his first step, Taek saw something strange rushing towards him, to his surprise it was some unknown creature, it had the body of a human and the head of a bird, the first thought that crossed his mind was "what the f***?"
The bird-like creature waved its hand towards Taek, a bright and warm smile appeared on its face as if it was meeting some very close friend, Taek could not help but shiver and he actually wanted to speed off to the opposite direction, but... to his horror, he found himself unable to, it seems like the system was forbidding him from moving around.
"Hello, treasured adventurer! I am here to test your skills." said the creature with a warm smile.
"This must be the guardian of Incarnam." Taek thought to himself, he read about them in the book, every city has a guardian, their Level is unknown but one thing for sure is that they are very powerful beings.
The half bird half human summoned a wolf, "beat this creature and you pass the test." said the guardian with a smile that never left his face which was actually creepy.
-- [πππππ] The start in the path to glory --
β Kill the {Lv 1} wolf to earn the recognition of the Guardian.
β Difficulty: -
β Rewards: 100 [EXP]
-- [πππππ©π] | [πΜΆπΜΆπΜΆπ₯ΜΆπ’ΜΆπ§ΜΆπ] --
Taek saw the grayed out decline and believed this was a quest he cannot refuse, he clicked [πππππ©π] and both him and the wolf got transported into a battle dimension, he read about it before, it's where enemies cross swords, they fight and only one side end up winning, there is no room for a draw.
The wolf only had {30 HP} {3 AP} {3 PM}, it must be a newborn, Taek concluded.
"I will turn you into minced meat" a grin appeared on Taek's face, he positioned himself near the wolf and started the battle.
-- Turn 1
Taek exhausted his {3 PM} to reach the wolf, he then gave it 2 kicks in the stomach resulting in 2 red numbers appearing on top of the wolf's head using up his {6 AP}.
β 10 Health Points | {20 HP} remaining.
β 12 Health Points | {8 HP} remaining.
The wolf reacted and used scratch, tickling Taek.
β 6 Health Points | {94 HP} remaining.
Taek couldn't help but laugh, this was not a test, but probably just a way to have newcomers adapt to their spells and give them a taste of realistic turn-based battles.
-- Turn 2
β 8 Health Points | dead
Taek finished off the wolf with another kick, it turned into a transparent substance that slowly faded away after a few seconds which in turn transported him outside of the battle dimension.
A box appeared in front of Taek, he opened it up and earned 2 gold, 10 EXP and that's it, no loot, no drops, nothing, just these measly things. Taek blanked for a few seconds but after thinking about how weak the wolf was, it was expected there would be nothing out of it.
Taek sighed then went to the guardian to receive his reward, another 100 points got added to his EXP bar instantly leveling him up to [Lv 2].
He opened his "Characteristic Tab" and found that he has 5 new points to spend, he decided to put them all into [vitality] because Sacri is a berserker/Tank class that has a unique privilege and that is the scale of 1 to 10 in [vitality], the drawback is that other stats are all scaled 3 to 1, meaning that if a [πππππ] want to spend points in [strength], each 3 points only give 1 [strength].

Satisfied with his performance, the Guardian allowed Taek to roam "Incarnam" as he pleases, he also advised him not to enter forbidden areas and not to die too many times, because apparently dying 3 times in the same day forces the user to log out for 24 hours, unable to revive until the 24 hour timer is over.
After walking around for a few minutes, Taek found himself at the border of a forest which had many domestic monsters, such as sheep, birds, small pigs, and rabbits, some were gathered together into a flock, while some were on their own.
Taek came close to a bird-like creature and a tab filled with details appeared on top of it, the information was in a rectangular form.
[Lv 3] Piwi | EXP +250
Taek calculated that by defeating this monster he could level-up and unlock the first class specialization, each class unlocks their first specialization in Lv 3 then the second specialization in Lv 10, some can unlock the third one with the help of a series of quests, but those are rare and unique, it requires luck.
Taek jumped onto the piwi and they both got transported into a battle dimension, he finally got to see the stats of the creature which left him dumbfounded, he also found that the Piwi start first.
[Lv 3] Piwi | {80 HP} {6 AP} {4 PM}
Taek decided to stay further away from the creature, to be safe.
-- Turn 1
The piwi used his {4 PM} to get close to Taek, still not reaching its attack range.
Taek used his {3 PM} closing onto the creature, he exhausted his {6 AP} using [attraction] to bring the Piwi right in front of him then executed a [kick].
β 15 Health points | {65 HP} remaining
Seeing a higher than usual damage, an excited look appeared on Taek's face, after checking the details of the creature, he found out that it had a [β20%] resistance to earth damage and it just so happened that his [kick] deals earth damage, the excitement did not last long though.
-- Turn 2
The Piwi used beak attack twice, one of which was a critical strike dealing massive damage.
β 19 Health Points | {131 HP} remaining.
β 49 Health Points | {82 HP} remaining. β οΈ critical strike
Taek nearly keeled over, such insane damage and it could attack twice! luckily he was a [πππππ] and invested all his points on [vitality], he started sweating for others that may have been victimized by this creature.
Taek used [kick] twice on the creature dealing a good amount of damage.
β 17 Health points | {48 HP} remaining.
β 16 Health points | {32 HP} remaining.
-- Turn 3
β 51 Health Points | {31 HP} remaining. β οΈ critical strike
β 17 Health Points | {14 HP} remaining.
Taek felt cold, he actually nearly died to this creature and what is with this insane frequency of critical strikes this bird deals? He kicked the Piwi twice finishing him off.
β 17 Health points | {15 HP} remaining.
β 15 Health points | dead.
A bright light enveloped Taek, an indication of him leveling up, he opened up the box and found that aside from the EXP, he also earned 10 gold, an amulet and a ring, he picked them up to check the stats.
Lv 3 Piwi ring
+ 1% Critical chance
+ 10 Vitality
Lv 3 Piwi amulet
+ 50 Initiative
+ 2 Strengh
Taek instantly equipped the items and felt a slight change, he believed that [critical chance] and [initiative] are hidden stats, if this is the case then this explains why the bird started first and why he was dealing critical strikes more than usual.
With a wide smile, Taek decided to invest his [5 points] into [vitality], bringing his health points to 200, he also opened his "spell tab" and found that he earned a new spell.
Evasion {Lv 1}: For 2 turns, add 10% chance to evade attacks!
{Usage cost: 4 PA}
{Cooldown: 5}
Taek decided to invest his 2 spell points, one on [Evasion] the other on [Kick], the 2 spells now looked slightly more powerful.
Kick {Lv 2}: hit them with a strong leg kick!
{Earth Damage: 15~19}
{Usage cost: 3 PA}
{Cooldown: 0}
Evasion {Lv 2}: For 2 turns, add 15% chance to evade attacks!
{Usage cost: 4 PA}
{Cooldown: 5}
Taek dashed towards the Guardian to check what specialization his class can get, after getting there, the half-bird half-human Guardian still had a wide smile plastered on his face.
"So you came, from the looks of it you want to get your first class specialization, am I right?" The Guardian saw through Taek and started his speech, giving Taek 3 options to pick from.
[Damage dealer]: permanently earns 1% increased damage.
[Positioner]: earns a new spell.
[Tank]: permanently earns 1% resistance in all stats.
Taek hesitated slightly, he knew that those 1% may be nothing now, but in the later stage of the game, they can be of some help.
In the end, Taek decided to pick [Positioner], he knew that the spell may be of some great use to his class that was basically only good at fighting in close range, crossing his fingers he started to pray for something good to appear.
Transposition {Lv 1}: swap your place with that of someone else!
{Usage cost: 3 PA}
{Cooldown: 0}
Taek started laughing maniacally, seems he did not pick wrong, he got rewarded with such an insane spell, he already thought of many ways to use it, he can even scheme against others!
Some passers-by stared at Taek like they were staring at a fool...
