Seraphina offered to babysit 9-months old Emerald, so her parents could enjoy some alone time. Also, she gets to practice being a mom.
"Babe, are you sure you don't need me? What if things get difficult?" Quincy couldn't help but worry about her.
"What's so difficult about taking care of a baby? Just go to work in peace. I'll be fine," she replied as she saw him off to the door.
"Call me if you need anything." She nodded in response before Quincy left.
She turned to baby Emerald who was currently giggling in her seat.
"Let's have fun today Eme. Aunt will take care of you," she said confidently.
Emerald babbled incoherently for an hour. To Seraphina, it was cute at first til it drove her crazy. She was someone used to a quiet environment. Even when she was with Quincy, they talked for a while and just enjoyed each other's company in silence.
When Emerald saw her aunt wasn't getting the memo, she started to cry.
Emerald: Stupid aunty, put me down. I've been sitting like this for an hour. This girl wants to crawl around. Stupid aunty!
Unfortunately, stupid aunty didn't understand baby talk. After trying to appease the little queen with toys, food, and music, she gave up and carried her.
Seeing that the stupid aunty had made progress, Emerald began to twist her body in Seraphina's arms. Thankfully, the stupid aunty understood this and let her down.
Emerald crawled her way around the house. Seraphina made sure to sit where she could keep an eye on the baby. When she saw Enarald grab a hold of her purse, she wasn't too worried because Claudia had said she loved purses. She once again set her view back on the tv.
Emerald: 'This picture looks like stupid aunty,' she babbled in baby talk as she stared at Seraphina's ID. 'I've seen these before in my house,' she said as she stared at the bills in the purse.
In an attempt to look closer at the people printed on the money, Emerald ripped them. Thanks to her drool softening the paper, it wasn't difficult for her at all.
Emerald: Oops! I better abandon and run.
She held the ID in one hand and crawled away from the crime scene. Seraphina didn't bother to see what happened as she was used to Emerald crawling around already, and she already made sure to put dangerous things away.
When it was time for lunch, she carried the little Queen, only for something to fall out of her hands. Seraphina was stunned when she saw her scratched ID. She wanted to cry without tears.
Emerald: Stupid aunty, isn't the picture prettier now?
All Seraphina heard was baby blabber mixed in with giggles. She couldn't even get mad. She ran back to check her purse, only to see bills split in halves. She gave up and called Quincy.
"I'm tired honey."
Quincy shook his head, "I'm coming home."
Emerald: Pretty uncle is coming home. Better put on my best behavior.
Poor Seraphina had been played by a 9-month old baby.
