Chapter 64 - Chapter 33: Pendragon, Lucius again

After the most boring and flashy sword fight in the world. Pavall lost with injuries and ended up being captured by Clamest. Somewhere along the lines, she fell asleep.

"You're finally awake."

A cold, heartless voice echoed from outside the room.

"Where is this?" Fath asked calmly.

"My lord's castle."

Clamest 's voice remained emotionless.

"I usually torture my prisoners to death... But I'll make an exception for you if you tell me my brother's whereabouts. But understand this... I'm an impatient man." Clamest reminded her.

"Are you an idiot?"

"What?!" Clamest said in surprise and anger that his prisoner insulted him.

"Where would he be? You ask? I am going to guess that you're not the smart one."

"You"

"Let me put it this way, the King captures an enemy commander, especially that idiot King where is the most obvious place he would take your brother." Faith rolled her eyes.

Clamest drew his sword o Faith's neck.

"There's at least a hundred paths leading to Camelot from here. Which path did they use?"

Faith looked at the man with a disgusted face. "You seriously only got that far."

"Clamest" a familiar voice that couldn't be anyone other then Lucius.

The man raised his head, allowing the moonlight to cast a shadow on him. His black hair only adds a sense of mysteriousness to him. His face emotionless, and his silver eyes and His demeanor though cold, it was charismatic enough that any who rests their eyes on him will be charmed.

"Milord...?" Clamest kneeled

It wouldn't be anyone other than you, huh?" Faith said looking Lucius she signed "Can you get these chains off me?" she said to him.

He smiled bewitchingly, nearly charming Faith.

"Magic, huh, you're learning it aren't you" she stared.

"After turning that small lord into a kite, I found it quite fun to have."

Lucius walked to her and took off the chains; both ignored the kneeling commander.

"So, what are you trying to achieve by trying to charm me." She said focusing her willpower. Not many people use charm magic unless they are trying to win the affections of another. But, the type Lucius is using a natural form that once learned can be continuously active and increased due to the emotions of the user.

"Hoping you will be my women of course" he helped her stand on.

She looked away from him, his charm magic and Durandal pulsating is not a good combo for Faith, especially when she has to focus on the latter. Being Charmed is not in her plans at all.

"Clamest, why did you bring her here?" Lucius turned back his attention to Clamest

"Milord, when Arthur was attacking our castle, I sneaked into their encampment with a small number of troops by using a shortcut. Forgive me for not informing you, milord... But I'm willing to do anything to save my brother! Please, punish me as you see fit!"

Arthur must have already relocated your brother."

"You are right, milord. Arthur sent my brother away to Camelot, which is why I kidnapped this woman to torture the details out of her. This woman must be the rumored Eastern lady who is always by Arthur's side! She should know the path used to transport my brother."

"To which I replied that he was idiotic, really, Lucius you need to choose your people better. Don't be like Arthur who accepts anyone that comes his way."

Lucius chuckled "It sounds like you don't like the King that much"

"He makes the best Prince, but he is not a good King."

"So, then will you join my side, then."

"Tempting, but, no, unfortunately, I just can't let Avalon fall easily due to his choices."

Lucius paused for a moment "You say that Arthur is an Idiot but is he not naïve instead."

"What are you defending him?"

"No of course not, I was simply curious. From my reports, Arthur has been doing very brilliant as a King albet Naive but still great."

"Lucius, you should think about the future, Arthur's choices may be great now but in the future….Ugh, never mind."

"Clamest, you are dismissed."

"Yes, milord"

"Say, why help the Saxon. You have no benefit from gaining Avalon as a puppet." She said.

"Because there is something there I want" he responded simply.

"Avalon from the other countries perspective has been dying since the great dragon attack 40 years ago. The land on the outside looks beautiful, but, in actuality, its dying" Faith said sadly.

'and there is no way to save it. This place truly won't last long.''

Lucius looked at her for a moment but stayed quiet as he led her out of the dungeon.
