Chapter 169 - Chapter 3. Hermit, Alanis and Alexia

Demos had put together two little cots for them to sleep on for the night. In the morning they followed him to go hunt.

He tracked a giant bore, and when it came in sight, Alanis and Alexia went a cased it and gave it a flying kick. Demos was impressed that these two children were able to take down them pray like this.

Demos picked the giant boar up as they followed him back to their hut.

The two seemingly surprised that I placed the boar on my shoulder.

He placed the boar out and started the dismantling process. Making sure the two where watching he cut the abdomen to first drain the blood. The skin is very tough and could be made into various materials or improve his farm tools.

Next was the meat, he lit the fire and poured water into a small pot that's hanging on sticks over the fire. Before the water started to boil

He cut the boars meat into easy to eat pieces, then he used various vegetables and put them into the water to make his broth and then finally adding the chunks of meat.

The little people came by and adding some of their homemade spices. The aroma was mouthwatering to the two, Demos placed the soup into a bowl and gave it to the two. They used the utensil given by the little people. Since this was the first time, they this 'spoon' he carefully taught them how to use it.

Thus, they happily ate the soup. Since there was a lot left, he happily let them eat the rest.

"is it that Tasty?" Demos asked them with a smile.

They nodded their heads, with smiles he hadn't seen since they first meet.

The little people cleaned up everything as soon as they were finished, leaving no time for Demos to protest because he wanted to help.

He walked inside his hut. It was night, so it was time for bed. The two followed him inside.

"Alanis, Alexia. Come" he beckoned them again. They came immediately after he called them. He extended his hand and wrapped them in his blanket.

They became surprised and could settle down, yet they still clung to him.

But he couldn't stay awake to comfort them as he fell asleep fist them in his arms.

It had been a few days since the twins came here, Demos had taught them how to cultivate the land and pick the best berries.

Although he noticed that he they couldn't see the little people. They also seemed to have adopted in his earlier morning practices of praying to the goddess statue. Sometimes they would leave during the day and bring back some pray or sticks for the fire.

Which Demos would cook up for a meal

He looked at his hut. 'maybe its time to make it bigger. The two can sleep on the cots forever, and they need beds.'

After coming to the decision.

He prayed before he moved the shrine outside. The Twins already left, to hunt so he decided it was time to remodel his home.

The little people where a step ahead of them though. His hear warmed, these little people were always ready to help him whenever he was doing anything. Or worried whenever he got sick, he had no one at his old age, his family long gone due to the war. So, no one cared if anything happened to him.

His hut was transformed into a stone house, the little people couldn't talk, but he always knew what they meant as he helped them build the house.

By the time they where finished he looked at the new building in wonder. The little people were also great architects, they were different from the buildings in his home country. But they had a somewhat enchanting feel. It also had this giant wheel by its side that span with the flow of water.

The Little people began to pull on his sleeve leading him inside and teaching him how this work. From what he understands the wheel outside brings light into the house and turns this device that delivers heat.

The twins came back and were surprised at the new building. But, quickly got used to it. They had their own beds now and they where tucked in before they slept warmly with smiles on their faces.
