Chapter 135 - Chapter 7: Hunters, Sang’s Party

Jinn was talking non-stop to the pair who were still ignoring them, till it was apparent that it was not working.

"You really can't take a hint," Tae said.

"I grew up without having to, haha," Jinn said, and the scratched his head "Mm…. I am tense though," and then he looked at Peony "But some encouraging words from the pretty lady would help" he smiled

"Not a chance in hell," she wrote

"Ahh! She can't talk" he said to Tae before backing off because of Tae glare. "But you guys know isn't this place a little too big for a C-rank gate." He pressed on.

"Over here" The party's leader, Sang said stopped the party while the wizard of the party made light so everyone can see.

"I wonder when we will encounter the magic beats" some party member had said.

"Do you think there are dungeons without Magic beats" Said Jinn to Tae.

"They just haven't come yet."

It was strange wasn't its normal dungeons would have glowing rocks to lead the way. Tae looked at Peony and she wrote.

"Dungeons change depending on the boss. This Dungeon is dark because the boss may be a nocturnal creature."

"Really" Jinn read what she wrote, Peony nodded her head, and she wrote again.

"What lives and moves in the dark are attracted to the light? Right" Tae said almost exactly what she wrote.

"You guys sure are a pair," Jinn said as she saw a little moment happen between them.

"Bugs"

"It's Bugs

"Fuck, why of all the things, bugs."

The party members soon began to shout as numerous critters where heading their way from the tunnels ahead.

"It's an ant's nest," Tae said

"Don't say something like that" Jinn said

Of the many types of magic beats, insect types were particularly troublesome. They were hard to kill, they traveled in groups like a pack of wolves and on top of that each one had a right amount of power. But, they were against Ants, and they were the worst of the worst.

Giant ants were coming from the ceiling with some falling.

"Shoot! Shoot them down!"

Arrows and magic spell flew at both the ground and ceiling.

Jinn used a taunting skill to the ones closer by Tae and Peony who were watching the battle play out and assessing the team. Peony more so as if she knew they were up to no good.

"Over here, You insect!" Jinn said as he fought some off. His shield blocked every one of their attacks. Even with their claws, the bugs were not able to get through the protection.

The cries of the ants rang forth here and there. Tae wanted to tell Jinn that he didn't have to fight as it was part of the raid agreement not too, but, decided not to when he saw how driven he was to protect them.

"At least he means well" Tae said to Peony shrugged her shoulders. Jinn turned a meet their gaze and then held up his thumb.

"…."

The battle was at its end. So, the party clean up the remaining magic beats as told by their party leader.

"Grab all the magic cores! We'll be dividing it up Nine ways."

"Yessir"

"This is my favorite part."

"Me too."

The leader walked over to the three tag-a-longs he brought when his party was finished picking up the magic cores.

"Here is your share" he said handing the bags to them.

"NO thanks," Tae said "We don't need a spare the money is just fine" Tae spoke for himself and Peony.

"I don't need it either" Jinn said.

The party leader eyed Peony and paused for a moment. "Ah! Yeah, that's fine" Sang said before he walked to party members.

"Hey, split these up too" he yelled.

"Hey boss they"

"yeah" Sang turned around "What Is it," she said after seeing three of his buddies crowding around some ant corpses.

"There's something off about this.e guys"

"What's off about them."

They pointed at the leg of one of the corpses, which showed that its leg had been torn off and then another on which's head looks to be bitten off an then to the finally one with its wing torn off.

"I don't think these wounds are f.rom us."

"Yeah, it looks like this was before they fought us"

Just when he was thinking of himself, he looked at the beautiful e-rank healer who was looking at the corpse as well before she wrote something down and showed it to her husband.

"You think so, to" Tae said Peony and she nodded in response. Tae remembered something a hunter said to him four years ago when he first started. He glanced back at Sang who was now turned away from the pair and talking to his four buddies.

"In the end I think it's good for us," Peony wrote.

"Hey, did you guys see me right? I went whoosh, and then bam at those guys" Jinn said to the pair when he could no longer keep his excitement.

The party was moving forward so Peony, Tae, and Jinnenormous non-stop talking again. But, soon began to realize something strange as the hadn't run into any magic beats, surely there must be a boss.

Soon discussions amongst themselves started.

"Were the ones earlier it?"

"Nah, there's no way."

"Now strange"

"there should at least be a boss."

"You think a gate would open up with no boss in it?"

These discussions kept going until Sang said Stopped the party.

"Hold, up"

"What is it?" said a random member.

"Gyuh, your light" Sang said the mage as he shinned his light to where the party's leader was indicating.

"Holy Shit…"

"They're all…"

The hunters had quiet groans.

vast And if it wasn't obvious already heir lays the boss the eight-legged freak sound asleep.

"It's the boss room"

Someone muttered as the party leader nodded his head.

"Everyone get out" he said calmly. His party members respond with nervousness as they sneaked out of the room one by one.

"Holy Moly"

Someone whispered as his party mates followed his gates to see the enormous amount of mana crystals on the wall.

"Whoa"

"How much would all of this be?"

"This is a big score."

Mana crystals are one of the treasures of a dungeon. They contained less power then a magic beats core but when found they were always in a large abundance. So, mining them would result in an impressive income for a raiding party.

"This all couldn't be any more than 1 billion" one of the hunter's estimated.

The eyes of the hunters sparkled but it was only Jinn, Tae, and Peony who didn't show any interest in it.

"The Contract" Peony wrote "You're not going to use it"

Tae shock his head "What's the point the outcome is the same" he said

"We should mine the mana crystal before we take the spider down" the party leader said she walked toward Tae and Peony. "We have to go back and grab the gear" he said to them "Would you mind staying? While we grab the equipment"

Hunters where starting to leave with snickers on their faces.

"You want us to stay in the boss room?" Jinn

"The thing didn't wake up to our cheering so you guys will be fine?"

"Human greed is pleasant isn't it," Peony wrote making Tae smile.

"And besides you have a healer-class with everything should be fine."

"It's alright. We'll stay behind and watch the spot"

"Our car's parked right in front. We won't take long. See you then."

Sang walked away as he followed his party out.

"How can you say that? What if that thing wakes up" Jinn said terrified of the huge spider seemingly asleep.

'Looks like he hasn't fully understood the situation yet' Tae thought.

"it's not a what if, it will" Peony wrote to him"

"Huh. What do you mean?" Jinn questioned confused

Boom, a massive explosion erupted at the entrance. But since Tae and Peony know it was going to happen, they had their eyes on the boss that had seemed have been woken up by the explosion.
